Re-Vision is a small charity based in Queen’s Park, London, founded in 1988. We run professionally accredited part-time courses for adults to train as Counsellors and Psychotherapists and are looking for Trustees to join our Board.

Re-Vision is a registered charity. It is a small, not for profit counselling and psychotherapy training organisation providing outstanding, in-depth training with a soulful perspective. We also offer a low cost community counselling service to enable access to mental health services for those who might otherwise not find this affordable.

We have highlighted the need to improve resilience, to look ahead at future plans for our physical environment, to continue to provide an inclusive and rewarding experience for our students, trainers and staff, to maintain and build on the unique soulfulness and richness of our training, and to build our bursary fund to help to increase accessibility to our training.
We are keen to find trustees willing to help us with these challenges. We are particularly keen to involve people with financial or marketing skills, and people who have been involved in facilitating or helping small organisations faced with the challenge of retaining core values during periods of change. This is an exciting period of change for Re-Vision and could be a good time for those with experience in strategic planning or change management to get involved, even if only for a fixed term.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a distinctive and values-driven organisation. We are currently seeking a new Trustee who, after three months of service on our Board, would step into the role of Chair, with the current Chair completing their term after this successful appointment.
The Chair of Headway East London plays a crucial role in providing inclusive leadership and clear direction to the Board of Trustees. They will support the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities for the charity’s ambitious strategy and governance and ensure the effective working of the Board as a collective. About the role
As an Education Advice Caseworker Assistant, you will support the Family Support Worker in their work to advise families on issues relating to schooling and child wellbeing.
You will be supporting Latin American families with children (mainly Spanish- speakers) aged 5-19 years old, who have recently migrated to the UK and are not yet in school or have only just started.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Assisting the Education Advice Caseworker in:
● Supporting parents with the school admissions process in the UK. This includes:
providing information about the UK education system; explaining the school admissions process; helping parents fill in application forms; writing/calling Local Authority School Admissions; and following up on unsuccessful applications;
● Planning and delivering parent workshops and focus groups to respond to parents’ needs (e.g., positive parenting, school in the UK, bullying, etc.);
● Putting together useful resources for parents and staff, including simple translations, fliers, handouts, etc.;
● Creating documents and information sheets for parents including half term activities, breakfast clubs, afternoon wrap around, extracurricular activities, etc.

What will you be doing?
EcoCounts is a group of volunteers working together to embody EcoCore’s approach to the climate crisis. EcoCore covers a lot of ground because the climate and biodiversity crisis is so all-encompassing, which means we have a lot of varied and different volunteer tasks available, ranging from carbon footprint data collection, setting up sub-teams of friends or colleagues or doing social media or running workshops.
Your responsibilities would be to create volunteer tasks from our work streams, which would include things like:

keeping track of what volunteers are active on

encouraging and inspiring volunteers to deliver on commitments

Role Summary

Our trustees bring strategic oversight and direction; to ensure Causeway is true to its purpose and effective in its strategic objectives, whilst ensuring all governance responsibilities are fulfilled. The role of Treasurer brings to our Board Financial acumen, experience and understanding of charity finance and will be a supportive sounding Board for the Senior Executive team in relation to Strategic Financial planning.

The role of the Trustee
The Charities Act 1993 defines charity trustees as those responsible under the charity’s governing document for controlling the administration and management of the charity.
Our board of trustees have shared responsibility for the overall governance, financial health and strategic direction of the charity, developing its organisational aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.

Role Title: Treasurer and Chair of Finance, Audit and Risk Committee

Responsibilities
The role of the Board of Trustees is to receive assets from our partners and donors, safeguard them and apply them to the charitable purposes of Causeway. The trustee board must always act in the best interests of the charity, exercising the same standard of duty of care that a prudent person would apply if looking after the affairs of someone for whom they have responsibility.
Specific responsibilities as Treasurer and Chair of FAR
· To ensure that the organisation complies with its governing document and its own financial rules, charity law, company law, and other relevant legislation or regulations.
· To ensure that adequate financial procedures and controls are in place and that the organisation operates within a sound financial framework.
· To advise the Trustees on the financial implications of their strategy and policy objectives, and ensure appropriate financial risk management and reserves policies are in place.
· To lead the creation and chairing of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee on behalf of the Board of Trustees, and to attend the Remuneration Committee.
· In association with the Chief Executive Officer and Head of Finance, to ensure that all financial dealings are properly accounted for, including grants and restricted funds.
· To lead the production of an annual budget, propose its adoption to the Board, and monitor performance against the budget with support from the Chief Executive Officer and Head of Finance.
· To liaise with the Chief Executive Officer and Head of Finance to ensure timely, comprehensive and accurate financial information is provided to the Trustees (e.g. balance sheet, cash flow, bank balances, fundraising performance, reserves reporting).
· To discuss the auditor's report and annual accounts with Trustees at the Annual General Meeting and manage the process of appointing auditors.
To be involved in closely managing the organisation’s investments, and provide tax and investment advice where necessary, with attention to pensions provision.
The legal responsibilities of a trustee are to:
· Ensure that Causeway complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations
· Ensure that Causeway pursues its objects as defined in its governing document
· Ensure Causeway applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objects
· Contribute actively to the board of trustees by providing strategic direction, setting overall policy, and defining goals and targets
· Ensure the financial stability of Causeway
· Safeguard the good name of Causeway, scrutinise board papers and other key communications
In addition to the above statutory duties, each trustee will use their specialist skills, knowledge and experience to identify key issues, provide advice and guidance to the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Leadership team, and help improve the decision making of the Board.
· Our trustees will seek to promote Causeway, drawing upon their strategic contacts and networks and supporting fundraising efforts in order to maximise the charity’s impact and brand.

Hours/time-commitment
This is a voluntary position, but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
The overall time commitment for the Treasurer is expected to be around 1-2 days per month.
There are four full board meetings a year that last approx. 2 hours, outside regular office hours.
There will be a quarterly commitment to the FAR committee once established.
Papers for meetings are distributed 10 working days (plus a weekend) in advance of meetings.
As part of induction, trustees are expected to read relevant policies and complete induction training, which includes an introduction to our services, safeguarding, information governance, and EDI.

About the role
As Treasurer, you will chair the Finance Committee to ensure robust financial management and oversight across a diverse portfolio of services. You will also join the Investment Committee, serving as a standing member of the Audit Committee, to ensure the appropriate scrutiny of risk and financial stewardship.
Your role will involve providing strategic financial guidance to support Coram’s continued growth, overseeing risk assessment processes and financial controls, and supporting the CEO and Finance Director in presenting comprehensive financial information to the Board. You’ll be instrumental in advising the trustee body on the financial implications of our strategy and policy objectives.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to provide strategic financial oversight for a dynamic charity group . We need someone with demonstrable senior finance experience and expertise in financial management and strategy at board level. You should have previous experience as a trustee or treasurer of a charity, combined with commercial acumen and board-level experience in a complex organisation.
Your background should include an understanding of group structures and organisations with diverse income streams. You will also have a strategic mindset and be genuinely aligned with Coram’s mission and values, bringing flexibility and responsiveness to the role.

- Time commitment
The role involves approximately 15 meetings per year, each lasting around 2 hours. This includes 4 Board meetings and 4 Finance Committee meetings, typically held in the morning. 4 Investment Committee meetings are usually held in the late afternoon, 2 Audit Committee meetings and 1 Annual Court meeting in the late afternoon or early evening. This also includes meeting and liaison with the CFO and the Group Directors.
Most meetings are held in person at our historic Coram Campus in Bloomsbury, with occasional hybrid attendance available. Meeting timings are scheduled flexibly to accommodate trustees’ availability, and we work hard to ensure the schedule works for all our volunteer trustees.

Women's Aid Luton is seeking a visionary and dedicated Chair of the Board to lead and support the transformation and growth of our small yet impactful charity.
Women’s Aid Luton supports over 800 of society's most vulnerable women and children each year, helping them escape horrific abuse and violence. We provide a safe haven across our five refuges in Luton, operate a helpline, and offer bespoke assistance for families. Our services include access to legal advice, mental health support, employment assistance, and resettlement aid.
One of our refuges is dedicated to women from South Asian communities, with staff who speak Punjabi, Bengali, and Urdu. We also have a refuge for single women with complex support needs, such as mental health issues and drug and alcohol dependencies, often stemming from the trauma of domestic violence and abuse.
In addition to our direct support services, we focus on prevention and intervention by working with schools to raise awareness of domestic abuse. We are committed to disrupting exploitative and abusive relationships to prevent loss of life and reduce the long-term economic and social costs to society. Our services contribute to creating a safer, more compassionate community, supporting women and children from diverse socio-economic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, including those with complex needs.

Amy’s Place is a partnership between the Amy Winehouse Foundation and Clarion Housing Group providing supported living accommodation for young women in recovery and receiving support with drug and alcohol issues.
A confident and experienced hypnotherapist, with appropriate qualifications and interest in working with clients affected by addiction. The successful applicant will be someone who can provide supportive and calming sessions tailored to the individual needs of the client to promote their physical and emotional wellbeing.
Activities
- 1:1 or group Hypnotherapy sessions for residents
- Provide a safe, relaxing, therapeutic environment for the activity to take place.

- Volunteers may be asked to have professional liability insurance
Support
- Volunteers receive a thorough induction and have access to any relevant in-house and external training.
- Volunteers have a named supervisor providing day-to-day support and encouragement.
This is a flexible opportunity and volunteering times and frequency will vary depending on your availability and the needs of service users. It might be every week or fortnight, 3 to 4 hours, ideally for a minimum of 3 months.
