Database Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to support a super friendly, motivated and supportive Finance and Database Team.
The role is conveniently located near Liverpool Street and hybrid working is available.
You will report to the Director of Finance, line manage one Senior Database Officer and be responsible for managing The Sick Children’s Trust’s database, Donorflex, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data is maintained to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that fundraising income is processed correctly and coded in line with organisational procedures, and that service user data is updated on an accurate and timely basis, ensuring GDPR-compliant records. You will be the first point of contact, alongside the Senior Database Officer, for day-to-day database queries, providing essential support to ensure the database is effectively managed and continues to meet the organisation’s operational requirements.
Duties will include:
- Overseeing the processing of all income transactions into the database on a timely basis
- Line manage, coach and support one Senior Database Officer
- Processing service user information into the database on a timely basis
- Responsible for all Gift Aid management
- Producing scheduled and ad-hoc data selections for mailings as requested
- Analyse and produce reports using database data to support other areas of the Charity in their strategic decision-making
- Responding to queries from staff in all areas of the Charity on database use, income coding and service user data
- Leading on developing and streamlining the database processes and use of the database across the whole Charity, managing integrations between the Database and Finance system
About you
You have experience of managing a CRM database and working in a finance and database team, ensuring you can hit the ground running. Your skills and knowledge ensure you are confident in carrying out day-to-day and monthly database processes and enable you to provide managers advice of these processes.
You have experience of line managing and mentoring, supporting your direct report’s continued development and success.
You have proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, and good working knowledge of database software are a given.
You have strong organisational skills, an eye for detail to ensure accuracy and strong numerical skills.
Just as importantly, you have strong interpersonal skills to support colleagues and to work as a good team member.

The Philharmonia Orchestra is seeking a talented and driven Trusts and Foundations Co-ordinator to help the Development team deliver growing, sustainable fundraised income. Working closely with an experienced senior grant-writer, the Trusts and Foundations Co-ordinator will steward existing funders and develop funding applications for:

This role will suit someone ready to move on from an entry-level position within a Development team, keen to work in a fast-paced environment, and enthusiastic about taking on their own set of fundraising targets and application deliverables. It is an opportunity for an enthusiastic fundraiser to work within an experienced, inspiring team, to work closely with and learn from one of the most experienced trusts and foundations fundraisers in our sector, and to play a transformative role in a thriving orchestra that on the occasion of its 80th anniversary is already looking ahead to Philharmonia at 100.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
The primary responsibilities of the Trusts and Foundations Co-ordinator are fundraising from and stewarding Trusts and Foundations, achieved by undertaking the following tasks:
1. Delivering the Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy, with a particular focus on:

Identification and cultivation:

Producing lists of prospects to share with the Development Board, via the Director of Development.

Identifying opportunities for cultivation at projects, events and concerts.

Application development:
-
Responsibility for developing small to mid-range Trust, Foundation and statutory applications up to £25,000 including copy development, application budget creation (using signed-off source budgets), and sign-offs from project manager and line manager.

Maintaining a strong momentum of application submissions, aiming to fundraise a year ahead of project delivery where possible.
-
Collaborating with Development colleagues to agree stewarding responsibilities, review prospects, report on Trust & Foundation income vs. targets and identify prospects whose giving objectives align with the Philharmonia’s work.

Working closely with colleagues in the Learning & Engagement, Concerts and Marketing departments to build strong, collaborative working relationships in order to source project information to support the development of funding bids.

Stewarding
-
Ensuring timely report development and submission, to maximise re-application rates.
-
Ownership of accurate and comprehensive Trust, Foundation and Statutory accreditation in all collateral and online.

Proactive and consistent conduit between prospects and the Philharmonia, managing invitations to supported projects and ensuring consistent, warm and professional relationship management.
2 Ensuring efficient administration of Trusts and Foundations fundraising, including:

Managing all Trusts and Foundations pledges and grants on our CRM Tessitura, and ensuring data capture and processing is in line with GDPR and other privacy laws.

Population and updating of Trusts and Foundations submissions, stewarding and reporting tracker.

Accurate records of all correspondence held in SharePoint.

Principle Responsibilities
The Acquisition & Retention Manager will be responsible for creating and delivering a multi-channel acquisition Retention strategy that fully supports the goals and objectives of the wider Charity strategy.The post holder will develop, manage and grow the existing acquisition program via a range of Digital and Face to Face campaigns utilising third party agencies for Private Site, Door to Door and, telemarketing activities, as well as management of our own onsite Face to Face acquisition team.

- experience of leading service development and managing the service lifecycle (including horizon scanning, research, coproduction, piloting and using monitoring and evaluation data to make improvements), ideally in a health or third sector setting.

The Legacy and In Memory Manager is a pivotal and rewarding role within the Fundraising and Marketing team at St Barnabas Hospice. You will lead the development and delivery of our Legacy and In Memory strategies, with a clear focus on growing sustainable income during an increasingly challenging economic climate.
This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, calm, and confident in supporting people at sensitive moments in their lives. You will ensure that every supporter who chooses to give in memory of a loved one, or through a gift in their Will, is treated with the utmost kindness, dignity, and respect. Stewardship will be at the heart of everything you do, ensuring supporters feel valued and connected to the impact of their generosity.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Marketing, you will work closely with Fundraising Managers and colleagues across the organisation to ensure plans are aligned, insight-led, and supporter-focused. You will champion and celebrate legacy and in memory giving both internally and externally, helping to raise awareness of the vital role these gifts play in enabling hospice care across Lincolnshire.
You will be accountable for an income target across Legacy and In Memory giving. This will involve understanding the market in which you operate, including the motivations and drivers behind this type of support, and using insight to inform strategy, campaigns, and stewardship activity.
You will be confident in working with senior managers, directors, and trustees, as well as building strong external relationships with solicitors, Will writers, and professional advisers. Through these partnerships, you will help secure long-term, sustainable funding and ensure St Barnabas Hospice can continue to provide compassionate care to people living with life-limiting and terminal illness throughout Lincolnshire.

About the role
You will work closely with the Income Generation Team and Services Teams to develop and maintain long-term sustainable funding from Trusts and Foundations. Through developing and expanding income through grants, evolving our case for support, and managing relationships with a variety of grant funders, you will transform survivors’ lives and help us be part of the systems change to end sexual violence.
You will undertake new prospect research, keep up-to-date with the sector at large, and maintain and grow our funding pipeline. You will also write compelling funding bids, proposals and appeals, alongside timely reports to funders. You will seek opportunities to strengthen and build on existing and lapsed funding relationships and offer opportunities to engage funders directly with our work.

You will be passionate about implementing the SARSAS fundraising strategy ensuring that SARSAS can continue to deliver support to meet the needs of those who have been raped and sexually abused across Avon and Somerset.
You will be a skilled writer who is confident in identifying, researching, and qualifying prospects to continue our successful growth. You will have strong relationship management skills and will be able to build and sustain long-term relationships with funders, as well as identify opportunities to deepen funders’ commitment to our cause.
You will have strong organisational skills, and be able to manage a workload which balances application and reporting deadlines alongside funder stewardship and pipeline development. You will also be a good team player and self-starter – we’re a small team who manage our own workloads, but we relish the opportunity to come together, share ideas and take creative risks.

About SARSAS
SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.
We deliver a range of support, including, but not limited to, a helpline, online web chat, self-help resources, counselling, specialist support work, drop-in services and group work.

About the role
We’re on the hunt for a bold, visionary and energetic Head of Trusts and Philanthropy to supercharge our high value fundraising and take our impact to the next level.
You’ll lead, coach and champion our Trusts, Philanthropy, and Fundraising Development teams—building a culture of ambition, innovation, and curiosity that delivers game-changing income growth and unforgettable donor experiences. This is a strategic leadership role where you’ll set the vision, drive collaboration, and champion operational excellence.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support. This is coupled with the provision of emotional and practical support services for anyone with hearing loss.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now entering an exciting period of growth and expanding their Individual Giving Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK.
Playing a pivotal role in supporting this growth, the Associate Director of Performance Marketing is a newly created and influential position with significant scope to shape how Hearing Dogs grows their supporter base, sustains their supporter and volunteer community and attracts more people to their services through impactful digital and multi-channel marketing. The postholder will lead marketing activity that is insight-led and audience focused to ensure that each campaign strengthens connection, builds loyalty and generates sustainable income. Purpose

We're looking for an individual with extensive data strategy and leadership experience to join us as our Head of Data and Analysis here at Save the Children UK. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team and embed a data-driven, supporter-centric culture that drives income growth, supporter engagement and impact as we enter a period of transformation.
Note: This role is a 12-month maternity cover contract to start in January/February 2026.

About the role
As Head of Data and Analysis, you will play a vital role in transforming how data and insights drive strategic decisions across our Public Impact division. You'll lead the development and delivery of a forward-looking data strategy, enabling agile, insight-led campaign planning and supporter engagement. You'll also play a key role in leading the team through technological and cultural change, championing collaboration and capability-building across multidisciplinary teams.
Joining our Public Impact Division and reporting to the Director of Public Income & Engagement, you’ll be leading Data and Analysis teams who are passionate about harnessing the power of data to deepen supporter engagement, increase income, and deliver relevant, impactful experiences.

With a proven track record of successfully guiding teams through transformation, you'll have a strong background in data strategy and leadership with a passion for unlocking the power of data to drive income and engagement.

- A strong track record of leadership in data, insight, and analytics roles within complex or matrixed organisations.
- Experience successfully leading teams and departments through transformation or change programmes.
- A deep understanding of data strategy, marketing technology ecosystems, supporter lifecycle engagement, and performance measurement.
- Strong understanding of analytics methodologies and approaches, including digital analytics.

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but at times you will be required to come to your contracted office (usually between 2–4 days per month, depending on the needs of your role, team, or service). About the role
We are recruiting for a Legacy Giving Officer to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract. This is a home-based role, within South East England (covering Kent, West Sussex, East Sussex, Hampshire & Surrey), with frequent travel across the region and to our Head Office in Central London.
As Legacy Giving Officer you will be responsible for developing and managing all legacy giving activities within the South East region. You’ll represent the Society, raise our profile and promote legacy giving in the region. You’ll work collaboratively across departments and directorates at all levels to maximise promotion of legacy giving opportunities to both internal and external audiences.
You’ll be the lead contact for the warmest legacy enquiries in the region and though a framework of excellent stewardship, you will ensure that supporters are converted up through the legacy cycle. In this role you’ll be the trusted guide for individuals considering leaving a gift in their will, helping them feel valued, informed, and inspired every step of the way.
Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place on Friday 6th and Monday 9th February.
About you
Joining us, you will have good customer service skills with experience in a sales, marketing, fundraising or similar role, with the ability to interact positively with a wide range of audiences. You’ll have a track record of exceeding targets and using your initiative to prioritise your work effectively.
Crucially, you’ll have experience building rapport with others, with the confidence to network, speak publicly and communicate effectively with a wide range of people. You’ll also be able to combine persuasiveness and influencing with empathising and understanding the issues faced by the people you communicate with.
What you’ll focus on:
- Responding to enquiries from supporters in the region interested in leaving a gift in their will or wanting to know more about our will writing offers by phone, email or via in-person meetings in an agreed time frame.
- Planning, delivering, hosting and presenting at legacy events including post-event follow up stewardship activity.
- Developing and implementing new regional opportunities to promote legacy giving both internally and externally.
- Meeting agreed annual targets relating to legacy promotion and will writing promotion and the number of promised legacies from individual supporters.
- Developing and delivering the stewardship plan ensuring ongoing engagement with all legators and enquirers by upgrading and conversion through the legacy cycle: enquirer, considerer, intender, pledger.
- Identifying and establishing relationships with key Ambassadors who are passionate about legacy giving.

About Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance
Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time. People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. But in Scotland there are places where urgent medical help cannot reach people. Or help gets there too late. And when lives are at risk every minute matters. As a charity we rely on donations from the Scottish public, companies and communities to ensure that urgent medical help gets to the patient when it is needed, wherever they are and at whatever time of day.
The Role
As part of our strategy for growth and national impact, SCAA is seeking a motivated individual to manage our newly formed Data function, as Data and Insights Manager. This is a hands-on managerial role, which will contribute to both the immediate data management requirements and lead on the development of the longer-term Data and Insights Strategy for SCAA.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in embedding a culture of data-driven decision making, using insights and analysis to support future growth, with a particular focus on fundraising, marketing and supporter engagement. They will ensure the right frameworks and infrastructure are in place to allow for effective data management and data-driven decision-making across the charity.
This role can be fully remote, with the option to work from Perth Airport, where SCAA headquarters are located or our Aberdeen base at Aberdeen Airport, if preferred. Occasional travel to our Perth base will be required for the successful candidate. SCAA supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements—our current approach typically includes two office days per week for those working on a hybrid basis. The usual hours and days of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am—5pm.
About You
Essential
- Significant experience leading data strategy, governance or CRM development in a fundraising, marketing or customer insight environment.
- Strong knowledge of data protection and GDPR compliance, with understanding of DPO responsibilities.
- Demonstrable experience in designing and interpreting data analysis and insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Experience overseeing CRM systems from a strategic perspective, including planning for improvements or new systems.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or other data visualisation tools from a user or strategic oversight perspective.
- Excellent leadership and line management skills, with experience developing staff and building data capability within the wider team.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders with complex data insights.
- Project management skills.
Desirable
- Experience within the charity sector, especially in fundraising or supporter engagement.
- Experience working with finance teams on reconciliation and Gift Aid processes.
- Qualification in data protection, data analysis, or a related discipline.
