Job description

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to use your management and leadership skills to directly benefit people with breast cancer. You will take the lead on ensuring the successful delivery of our portfolio of online and face to face services for people living with secondary breast cancer and contribute to the development of new opportunities across the UK.

You will manage a newly created team of permanent and contract staff and work closely with the services team to maintain quality, and increase access, reach and influence.

You can be based in any of our offices located in Sheffield, London, Cardiff or Glasgow.

About you

Thriving on challenge, you will balance forward-thinking skills with the determination to deliver high quality services to the people who need them. With a willingness to adapt to change, you will have proven people and project management skills, and the confidence to lead a busy team and work collaboratively across different geographical sites. It goes without saying that you’ll need exceptional organisational and time management skills and be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication.

About us

We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future.

We’re that trusted friend that people affected by breast cancer turn to for caring support when they need it most. The expert authority on breast cancer research who is making breakthroughs and driving forward progress. And a vehicle for change, acting now to make sure anyone affected by breast cancer gets the best possible treatment and care.

We believe that we can change the future of breast cancer and make sure that, by 2050, everyone diagnosed with the disease lives – and is supported to live well. But we need to act now.

Although the role can be based in any of our offices, we are following a blended approach between office and home working with a minimum or two days per week in the office for full-time staff members. Should you have any queries with regards to this please email us using the email address provided upon clicking on the apply button.

Breast Cancer Now is an inclusive employer committed to developing a diverse workforce.
