Role summary
As Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Ben Kinsella Trust has the strong operational foundations needed to maximise its impact and support continued growth. Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide strategic leadership across the charity's operations, governance, finance, HR and IT, ensuring the organisation operates efficiently, remains compliant and has the systems and infrastructure required to deliver its mission.
You will lead the development and continuous improvement of organisational systems, policies and processes, driving operational excellence and enabling colleagues to focus on delivering high-quality programmes, campaigns and services. Working closely with the CEO, Finance Manager, trustees and external partners, you will oversee governance, risk management, financial planning, people and culture, and digital infrastructure; ensuring the charity is well-managed, resilient and equipped for future growth.
We're looking for a proactive, organised and collaborative leader who enjoys improving how organisations work and can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery. Your leadership will help ensure the Ben Kinsella Trust remains a well-governed, financially sustainable and high-performing organisation, enabling us to honour Ben's legacy and prevent knife crime through education and campaigning.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of operational systems, processes and policies to ensure the charity operates efficiently, consistently and in line with best practice.
- Oversee organisational project management, ensuring strategic projects are effectively planned, monitored and delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain effective systems for organisational planning, reporting and information flow, ensuring senior leaders and trustees have access to timely and accurate information.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process redesign, automation and the effective use of technology and digital systems.
- Provide operational leadership across the organisation, ensuring resources, systems and infrastructure effectively support programme delivery and organisational growth.
Governance
- Lead the charity's governance framework, ensuring compliance with Charity Commission requirements, statutory obligations and internal policies.
- Maintain the organisation's policy framework, ensuring policies are regularly reviewed, updated and effectively implemented across the charity.
- Lead organisational risk management, maintaining the risk register and supporting senior leaders and trustees to identify, monitor and mitigate strategic and operational risks.
- Ensure appropriate compliance with data protection, safeguarding, health and safety, insurance and other regulatory requirements.
Finance
- Lead the charity's financial management, working closely with the CEO and Finance Manager to develop budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
- Monitor organisational income and expenditure, providing financial analysis and recommendations to support effective decision-making.
- Oversee financial controls, procurement processes and delegated authorities, ensuring robust stewardship of the charity's resources.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts, annual budgets, audits and financial reporting for the Board of Trustees and external stakeholders.
- Develop financial systems and reporting processes that improve visibility, accountability and organisational planning.
HR & IT
- Lead the development of the charity's people infrastructure, ensuring effective HR policies, systems and processes to support employee wellbeing, performance and compliance.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management and learning and development processes, working with managers to build a high-performing and inclusive culture.
- Ensure the charity's HR systems and employee records are maintained accurately and comply with employment legislation and GDPR requirements.
- Lead the organisation's IT strategy and digital infrastructure, ensuring staff have secure, reliable and effective technology to support their work.
- Oversee cyber security, business continuity, system procurement and relationships with external IT providers, driving continual improvement in digital capability.

The role

ELBA’s Mentoring Works programme has been running since 1996 and has supported thousands of young people across London and beyond. Mentoring Works connects Year 10 and Sixth Form/college students to volunteer business mentors working in the City and Canary Wharf. Mentors and mentees connect regularly for sessions designed to develop the knowledge, skills and qualities needed for future careers. Sessions explore the Skills Builder framework and key employability competencies but can also be tailored to individual needs. Mentoring Works provides resources, guides mentees in their own decisions and discoveries and promotes networks, opportunities and social mobility.
Purpose of the job
To be responsible for supporting the key aims and deliverables of Mentoring Works. The Mentoring Works Project Manager will need to develop and manage strong relationships with schools and colleges; recruit students and engage and train business volunteers as mentors; design resources; deliver sessions; monitor relationships; support with safeguarding and produce robust impact evaluations for the programme. You will be required to support other members of the Mentoring Works team and your colleagues as and when required. The post will be managed by the Head of Programmes - Education, with further support and training from the Mentoring Works team. The post holder will have regular one-to-one support for input and guidance to achieve agreed success indicators and will be subject to annual performance appraisals with mid-year reviews.

Job Description
- Manage relationships with schools, colleges and employers, with particular responsibility for ELBA’s partners

About Play for Progress
This is an exciting moment for Play for Progress (PFP) as we celebrate our 10th anniversary and reflect on a decade of creative, therapeutic and community-building work with young people navigating the asylum system. Play for Progress is a Croydon-based charity dedicated to supporting unaccompanied young people seeking asylum, aged between 14 and 25. Through creative engagement, education, therapeutic & mental health support and community-building, we provide a space where young people can access opportunities, develop their skills, and find the support they need to navigate the challenges of displacement.
Our mission is simple but profound: to ensure that every young person who comes to us has the community to survive, the space to heal, and the stability to thrive. We are a small, close-knit team driven by a deep commitment to the young people we serve and we are looking for a Head of Therapeutic Services who shares that commitment.
The Role
This is a management position with both strategic and clinical responsibility. As Head of Therapeutic Services, you will drive and develop our therapeutic offer, ensuring that our young people receive high-quality, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care. You will lead our team of multi disciplinary therapists, providing clinical oversight and operational support, and hold a small caseload of clients. You will also manage and oversee our weekly group therapy sessions on Tuesday afternoons in Croydon.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Therapeutic Services will contribute to organisational strategy, safeguarding, service development and build strong working processes across the different strands of Play for Progress. You will work closely with the Executive Director and senior leadership team to shape the organisation’s Therapy Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Service Development

Provide strategic leadership for all therapeutic services, including individual therapy, group work, and psychosocial support programmes

Who You Are
Essential

Qualified therapist (e.g. BACP, UKCP, BPS, or equivalent accreditation) with substantial post-qualification experience

The Senior Head of Operations will play a central leadership role within RLSS UK, ensuring the charity operates effectively and efficiently. We are now seeking a values-led and commercially minded Head of Finance and Resources to join our Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping Aspire's future.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional who wants to combine strategic leadership with hands-on operational delivery in an organisation that makes a tangible difference every day.
As Head of Finance and Resources, you will lead Aspire's finance and resource functions, ensuring strong financial stewardship, effective governance, organisational resilience and sustainable growth. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Trustees and senior colleagues, you will help shape organisational strategy, support business development and fundraising activity, and ensure the charity remains financially strong and well positioned for the future.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with excellent leadership and relationship-building skills. You will be equally comfortable presenting financial information to Trustees, supporting managers to improve financial performance, and helping to identify opportunities that strengthen our impact and sustainability.
You will bring:
• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and/or significant senior financial management experience.
• Experience of leading finance and operational functions within a charity, public sector, social enterprise or similarly complex organisation.
• Strong strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting skills.
• Experience of producing meaningful management information and using data to support organisational decision-making.
• Advanced Power BI and financial reporting skills, with the ability to develop insightful dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of grant funding, commissioned services and restricted fund management.
• Experience of developing and improving systems, processes and organisational effectiveness.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and develop others.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with Trustees, funders, partners and colleagues.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and willingness to work collaboratively across the organisation.
• A commitment to Aspire's values and a genuine passion for creating opportunities for people facing disadvantage.

The Role
As Head of Course Development, you'll lead the creation of a new portfolio of self-paced GCSE and A-Level courses. You'll recruit and manage the course development team, establish quality standards and production processes, oversee instructional design, content development and assessment, and ensure delivery to ambitious project timelines.
Working closely with colleagues across product, operations and marketing, you'll help shape a market-leading online learning experience from concept through to launch. This is a rare opportunity to leave your mark on a completely new educational offering.
As the new product grows, there is also the potential for this role to evolve into a longer-term leadership position within the organisation.
About You
We're looking for an experienced education leader with a strong understanding of curriculum development and pedagogy, ideally across GCSE and A-Level. You'll bring experience leading course or curriculum development, managing educational teams, delivering complex programmes to fixed deadlines, and be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, build-from-scratch environment. Experience of online or asynchronous learning would be highly advantageous.
