We are working to save an extra 2,000 lives a year in Yorkshire.

Yorkshire Cancer Research is entering an exciting period in its development. As part of this we are expanding our team at our Head Office and a number of new roles are being created. We are currently looking for a CRM Manager to join the new digital team to develop and manage the CRM system and ensure it is meeting the current and evolving needs of the charity.

The Role

As the CRM Manager, you will be responsible for the quality and integrity of CRM data, developing a CRM strategy that delivers on strategic aims and ensuring operational procedures comply with legislation and best practice.

Managing and maintaining the database, you will liaise with third parties, consultants and/or contractors as needed to ensure the CRM system is fit-for-purpose.

You will work very closely with various stakeholders (marketing in particular) providing support and expertise and ultimately enabling them to deliver and you’ll be hands on in providing data sections, data segmentation, cleansing and deduping, analysis and insights etc.

It’s key that you bridge the gap between the technology and the users due to the training element of the role and the third-party relationship management.

As an expert in CRM best practises you will put in place standards and processes and embed them across the organisation ensuring no single points of failure exist.

Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying, communicating and addressing data management issues and risks. You will also line manage the Database Assistant.

About You

To join us as our CRM Manager, you will need:

- Substantial experience of working with marketing and/or fundraising databases (experience working with Raisers Edge would be a huge bonus)
- Proven experience of creating database queries, using reporting tools and the ability to produce complex reports and data analysis
- Broad knowledge of data protection, GDPR legislation and best practice
- Previous experience of project managing large and complex database development and implementation projects
- Line management and coaching experience
