We’re looking for an interim Head of International High Value Fundraising, who will take the lead on high value fundraising for our international work, ensuring our work can impact dogs and their owners across the world.
What does this role do?
As Head of International High Value Fundraising, you'll:
- lead the International High Value Fundraising team, providing direction and day-to-day leadership to inspire and support the team in cultivating transformational giving. Motivate and empower colleagues to unlock major opportunities in the United States and strengthen our approach in other regions.
- partner with other fundraising teams across Dogs Trust and our international partners, World Veterinary Service and Mission Rabies, to enhance and align global philanthropy strategies. Identify and pilot innovative approaches to generating significant new income and building long-term, sustainable partnerships.
- personally manage a portfolio of high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and major donors, leading on all aspects of relationship management, from prospect identification and tailored proposal development to bespoke stewardship and long-term engagement that secures six-, seven-, and eight-figure gifts,
- represent Dogs Trust internationally, strengthening our global profile and cultivating relationships that increase awareness of, and secure substantial philanthropic support for, our international programmes.
This role is being offered as a fixed term, family leave cover role until January 2027. Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for Friday 21st November 2025, however, we may invite suitable candidates to interview for the role sooner. Interviews will take place on Teams.
Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a dynamic, innovative senior fundraiser, with a breadth of experience across different fundraising modalities in the international context, ideally with some experience of setting up a new function. You’ll have excellent communication and partnership management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with varied internal and external stakeholders. This is a growing, changing role with lots of moving parts, so we’re looking for a someone who is flexible and adaptable, who proactively identifies challenges and opportunities. We’d love to hear from candidates who hit the ground running, and enjoy taking the lead on a new, exciting area of work. Above all, you’ll need a commitment to the work we do, and understand the importance of this work internationally.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.
Location: Based in London office, E1, with the team meeting in person to collaborate once per week. There is also the expectation of travel as required (usually 2-4 times per month) across London (and potentially) the UK to meet with donors. Homeworking options in line with our Crisis Hybrid Working Policy.

About the role
Crisis is in the first year of our new strategy, and philanthropy is critical to achieving our organisational goals — especially the £20m Housing Supply campaign, an ambitious initiative at the heart of our strategy to deliver genuinely affordable homes and end homelessness for good
You would use your proven ability to build strong relationships and secure four- to five-figure gifts to manage a dynamic portfolio of major donors and prospects, applying your understanding of moves management and the major donor solicitation cycle to engage, inspire, and retain support. Confident in working with high-profile individuals, you would use your excellent communication and influencing skills to deliver compelling cases for support, represent Crisis with professionalism, and create meaningful donor experiences.
Proactive and creative in your approach, you would work collaboratively across teams, integrate digital techniques to enhance engagement, and measure success against KPIs and targets. Above all, your work would be driven by a deep commitment to Crisis’ purpose and values—equity, inclusion, and the belief that together we can end homelessness for good.
About you
We are looking for an ambitious and relationship-led fundraiser who is passionate about making a tangible difference and inspired by Crisis’ mission to end homelessness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of moves management and the major donor solicitation cycle, using these principles to strategically cultivate, solicit, and steward high-value supporters. With a proven track record of securing four- and five-figure gifts, you will be confident in engaging and influencing high-value and high-profile individuals, understanding their motivations and inspiring their confidence in Crisis’ work. You will combine excellent communication and influencing skills with creativity and independence, managing a dynamic portfolio of donors while working collaboratively across teams to deliver outstanding supporter experiences. Highly organised, results-driven, and innovative in your approach, you will be motivated by achieving targets and growing income. Above all, you will share Crisis’ deep commitment to equality, inclusion, and social justice, and be driven by the belief that homelessness can—and must—be ended.

Join Gingerbread Family Support as we grow our residential and outreach services and progress a new supported accommodation development. Lead month-end and SORP accounts, build a simple compliance calendar, and turn KPIs and risk into clear Board insight.
The ideal candidate will be proactive in their approach, qualified (or equivalent experience) in charity finance. Plain-English communicator who gets things done on time.
You will need:
· Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) or equivalent senior experience in charity finance.
· A strong track record delivering management and statutory accounts, budgets, forecasts and audits in a charity environment.
· Confidence with payroll, Gift Aid and VAT; skilled in Excel and modern finance systems
· Line-manage and support a capable Finance Assistant; work closely with our Head of Services, HR Officer and Maintenance Lead
· Evidence you’ve designed and run a whole-organisation compliance/assurance approach (calendars, owners, evidence, escalation) with on-time returns.
· Experience coordinating KPI dashboards and risk registers that drive action, not paperwork.
· Clear, plain-English communication with non-finance colleagues and Trustees; a calm, organised style; and a focus on getting the basics right on time, every time.
Hours: 37 Hours per week
