The role

Young Scot is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial and delivery-focused leader to help shape and drive a step-change in how we generate income and build partnerships. 

This is a pivotal role at a defining moment for the organisation with the recent appointment of a new CEO, as well launching a new organisational strategic vision. As we evolve our operating model and ambitions, you will lead the development of a more diverse, sustainable and innovative income portfolio - ensuring we can continue to deliver meaningful impact for young people aged 11–26 across Scotland. 

Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team (SLT), you will design and implement a new income generation strategy, unlocking opportunities across corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, public sector funding and earned income streams. You will take an “intrapreneurial” approach - building new propositions, testing ideas and embedding a culture where income generation is seen as a shared organisational priority. 

This role offers significant autonomy, creativity and influence. You will be equally comfortable setting strategic direction and personally leading high-value relationships, as you are enabling written bids and researching new partnerships.

About the role

This is a dynamic, strategic role and as Head of Therapeutic Services, you will exercise person-centred clinical responsibility for Woman’s Trust (WT), counselling, groupwork and other therapeutic services.

Reporting to the CEO, this role will oversee the day-to-day delivery of seamless, highquality service across all of our client-facing provisions. You will support the CEO to ensure the future development of WT by leading the frontline staff team in the provision of high-quality, relevant and safe services to survivors of violence and abuse in line with WT’s aims and principles.

As Head of Therapeutic Services, a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with colleagues across WT, to plan and implement quality improvement plans in order to deliver outstanding services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Working with key stakeholders to ensure that WT counselling services are delivered to a high professional standard, in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and the person-centred approach.

Leading on the development of new opportunities for the enhancement and expansion of WT counselling services, on the clinical representation of WT services to external bodies and involvement in campaigning for the improvement of services for women experiencing DA, and to be the safeguarding lead for WT.

Job Purpose

The Head of Community Support and Operations is a pivotal new role being introduced to the executive team at Barnsley CVS.  This person will be a key role in the growth and development of the executive team.  You will play an exciting part in the delivery and development of the recently developed 4-year strategy and theory of change. We’re looking for an experienced, passionate, strategic and creative Head of Development to join us as part of a job share and lead our support and capacity-building offer. 

You will have strategic oversight of our support offer to the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Somerset, leading on the provision of targeted support and infrastructure services. You will bring significant leadership experience working with or supporting the development of voluntary sector organisations, groups or networks. You will have demonstrable experience of partnership working – including with the Public Sector – and knowledge of the principles of asset-based community development and empowerment.

This is a full-time, job share role, though part-time and flexible hours will be considered for the right candidate. The salary is £40,000-£43,000 per annum.

As we prepare for the next phase of growth - to expand to work across 60 new schools over the next five years - the HR Officer will play a central role in helping UP achieve its strategic ambitions, delivering an effective service and supporting our team to give their best.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a small and supportive team, working with a high degree of autonomy within your areas of responsibility, while having access to support, guidance and escalation via the Head of HR as needed

This is a busy and varied role, requiring flexibility and strong multi-tasking skills. As a proactive, organised and adaptable HR generalist, you will thrive in a role where no two days are the same. You will be motivated by making things run smoothly, supporting colleagues with confidence at every stage of the employee lifecycle, and ensuring that robust processes, accurate records and strong compliance underpin a positive employee experience.

You will be confident working with colleagues at all levels, comfortable managing sensitive situations and holding constructive conversations, and able to provide clear and pragmatic advice, while applying policies fairly and empathetically.
