Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist care and support for babies, children and young people who are life limited or life threatened. Supporting over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families annually, Acorns is a vital lifeline for families across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire during unimaginably difficult times.

Over the past three years, Acorns’ leadership has enhanced collaboration and innovation across the charity and embedded an organisation-wide fundraising culture. They are now seeking a senior corporate partnerships specialist to lead Acorns’ newly formed Partnerships Team, which combines corporate new business, account management and community income streams.

A member of the Fundraising Leadership Team, the role will be responsible for securing and managing high-value strategic partnerships with businesses while simultaneously driving engagement with local community groups, education partners, and faith groups, ensuring clear tiering, structured pipeline progression and robust income performance.

The role will also act as Partnerships lead for the upcoming £5m fundraising appeal, co-canvassing alongside the Head of Philanthropy and executive leadership, and mobilising corporate and community networks around key campaign moments.

As Head of Partnerships, you will:

• Report to the Associate Director of Fundraising and line manage a team of four (Senior Business Development Manager (Corporate), Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager Senior Community Partnerships Manager, Partnership Engagement Officer)
• Form part of the Fundraising Leadership Team, with shared accountability for strategic decision making, compliance and cross-directorate working
• Lead and integrate Corporate and Community fundraising into a cohesive partnerships strategy aligned to the wider Fundraising Strategy
• Design and implement a three-year corporate and community income plan, with full budget and forecasting responsibility
• Conduct an audit of current partnerships activity, pipeline and resource allocation to ensure effort aligns to regional and national potential
• Lead corporate new business acquisition, securing multi-year strategic partnerships, Charity of the Year agreements, cause-related marketing, sponsorship and stock generation partnership

Essential skills and experience:

• Strong corporate fundraising background within a charity setting
• Proven track record of securing six-figure corporate gifts

• Experience designing strategies, annual plans and budgets and adapting them as required

This role

The Head of HR and Operations will be a key member of the Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. This role will be central to shaping the organisation’s culture and ensuring that our HR and operational functions are robust, future‑focused, and aligned with our mission.

Main responsibilities

Leadership and Management:

The Finance team provides finance and budgeting support to staff, managers and members of PCS. The department is about to embark on a digital transformation that will modernise how the Finance department operates for the Union. We are looking for a Head of Finance that will drive and lead this project whilst maintaining continuity of service operation to the union, members and staff and, to join a progressive union that values collaboration, integrity, and social impact.

Purpose of the job:

Management and leadership of the PCS Finance Team and the provison of strategic financial advice to the National Executive Committee and other bodies.

Responsible for the management of the compilation and production of all management accounts, PCS annual audit, budgets, cash-flow and financial planning reports and annual reports.

1.People Management

• Manage work allocation and workflow, future planning and support for Finance Team and Director of Central Services
• Motivate and manage individuals and the team as a whole to provide a high standard of service to develop and improve the skills and efficiency of the Finance team

• Ensure expenses are paid in line with Service Level Agreement requirements

7. Finance Training and good practice

• Participate in the dissemination of financial knowledge across the union. Organise and participate in periodic financial training programmes for budget-holders, treasurers and members

8. Communication

• Draft complex communications including briefs, reports, business cases, for internal and external stakeholders
• Draft papers, policies and regulations in relation to financial management
• Communicate with members by producing circulars and briefings, and by addressing meetings and conferences etc

To help us achieve our vision, we are looking for a Head of Community Resilience who is passionate about ending social division and will encourage hope at the centre of the places we live.  We are looking for someone who is skilled in building meaningful partnerships, as we know CUF cannot do this work alone.  Someone who has experience of working with a range of stakeholders and understanding the political landscape and sensitivity around communities.  This role sits at the intersection of faith-based community action, cohesion and inclusion, and inter faith work, addressing the social fractures of a changing Britain with care and credibility.

We are seeking a part-time Head of Finance and Operations to play a key role in supporting the smooth and effective running of CASE Europe’s London office. We have a newly created opportunity for a Head of Wales to join us at RBL to promote, advocate and champion for our vital work and connections across Wales.

You will be an experienced strategic leader, with excellent networking and communication skills and the ability to build strong strategic partnerships and influence at senior level. You will have a strong understanding of the political, cultural and social landscape in Wales, with experience as a spokesperson or figurehead with media skills and exposure.

This role is 28 hours per week, to be worked as required by the role, with the ability to work flexibly (including evenings and weekends). You will be expected to travel regularly in the course of your work, including regularly across Wales. You will be contracted to your home address, where you will be expected to work when not travelling.

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings.
