Greater Manchester Youth Federation (GMYF) is a long-established charity running vibrant youth centres across Greater Manchester. Purpose of Role:
The Centre Manager is responsible for the effective leadership and management of Ormside Mill Residential Centre (ORC), including all Health and Safety, estate management, operations and bookings. The postholder will ensure high-quality, inclusive, and safe delivery of youth work activities, aligned with our organisational values and mission.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management
- To support the CEO in the delivery of our mission, in line with our values and ambition.
- Oversee daily operations of Ormside Mill Residential Centre, ensuring high service standards and smooth handover/takeover procedures.
- Line manage staff associated with the centre, such as the grounds keeper, housekeeper and finance assistant.
- Manage and administer all bookings and reservations for the Ormside Mill Residential Centre, maintaining an organised and efficient system.
- Provide onsite ‘take over’ and ‘hand over’ arrangements for groups, including providing oversight of activities with freelance instructors etc.
Safety, Quality and Compliance
- To ensure they have up to date Safeguarding knowledge and to promote GMYF safeguarding culture.
- Responsible for safe, inclusive practice in all areas of ORC work, through supportive line management of key staff, user and contractor briefings and operations. Be responsible for compliance with health and safety regulations including Fire Safety, Legionella, Contractor Management, vehicle maintenance etc.
- Manage and complete documentation for inspections or quality marks such as AHOEC, Evolve, AALA Licence etc. ensuing readiness for audit and compliance, including supporting the Chief Instructor with kit management and storage.
- To be responsible for a detailed estates plan that sets out key compliance requirements and their successful management within a 12-month period and beyond.
Administration and Organisation
- Represent the organisation in external networks and partnerships related to residential and youth work, including building positive relationship with local residents.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to populate the forecast events and resource demand.
- To identify, submit and secure external funding to support our endeavours, via grants or individual benefactors.
- To promote environmental sustainability, appropriate waste management and care for the environment.
- To be responsible for the production of regular and accurate reports such as the Annual Report, User Satisfaction reports, etc.
- Responsible for the vetting, compliance and expectations for freelances staff, in line with GMYF values.

AHF is seeking an England Development Manager (Heritage Revival Fund) to co‑lead our core grants and advisory programme across England. This role has been created following the recent announcement of significant new investment, which will support the expansion of the Heritage Revival Fund through to 2030. This investment will enable AHF, in partnership with DCMS and Historic England, to provide grants to hundreds of communities across England, helping them bring neglected historic buildings back into use.

The Membership Account Manager leads the development, delivery and growth of FareShare South West’s membership programme across the West of England region. About the role
We are hiring in our Grants team which is part of the wider Development Department at ClientEarth. This department is responsible for raising and managing funds to enable the organisation to deliver its mission using the power of the law to bring about systemic change that protects the earth for, and with its inhabitants. As Grants Officer you will work in our Grants Team to manage a portfolio of grants that fund our organisation’s work, with a focus on managing a portfolio of grants from trusts, foundations, and other statutory and institutional funders.

In this role, you will be managed by Emma Franklin. Emma is a Grants Manager at ClientEarth, where she oversees a dynamic portfolio of grants related to supporting the Resources, Energy and Mobility system of legal work across Europe and Asia. Emma has worked in grant management and philanthropy roles since 2017 at several major environmental not-for-profits. She’s extremely passionate about climate and environmental issues, and believes deeply in ClientEarth’s mission – using the lasting power of the law to protect our fragile planet. Emma moved to London in May 2024, hailing originally from her hometown of Sydney, Australia.
Main Duties
- Manage a portfolio of grants, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and timelines

About the role
We have an opportunity for a Safeguarding Officer to join our very busy team!
The organisation has a strong safeguarding ethos promoting the overall safety, safeguarding and welfare of all of our members. We are seeking individuals who have experience of the voluntary youth or community sector or other relevant professional field and have direct practice experience of working with children & young people in a safeguarding context. You will have excellent knowledge of the principles and practices of Early Help along with experience and knowledge of statutory requirements, and best practice guidance, relating to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults at risk.
Our safeguarding team operates centrally in London where we are responsible for providing support, advice and guidance to our volunteers relating on all safeguarding matters across the UK. Our safeguarding Officers act as our lead professionals in managing safeguarding casework in line with our policy, procedures and statutory duty.

What will you be doing?
Our Research Officer will play a key pivotal in strengthening the evidence base for innovation across the UK’s justice systems. The role will have a particular focus on improving outcomes for women in the criminal justice system and for families in the family justice system, including through our work overseeing FDAC.
Undertaking qualitative and mixed methods research, you will draw out the voices of people with lived experience and frontline practitioners on issues like:
- Improving the treatment of women in the criminal justice system
- Joined up responses to domestic abuse
- Making sure that children and families involved in the family justice system have the right support.
Your duties will include:
- Undertaking qualitative and mixed-methods research projects
- Working with other team members to design research methodologies
- Carrying out fieldwork with people with lived experience, practitioners and other informants
- Drafting research reports and other research outputs
- Presenting your findings at events
- Working alongside our practice team to produce accessible evidence summaries for practitioners
- Working with our policy team to frame research findings to create policy change
