About the role:

We are currently seeking qualified, women solicitor, barrister and qualified legal executive volunteers to provide legal advice on our Sexual Harassment at Work (Employment Law) advice line. All volunteering is done remotely and you must be qualified to practice in England and Wales.

What will you be doing?

Our free telephone advice line provides vital legal advice for women experiencing sexual harassment at work, supported by legal advisors with experience in employment, discrimination and harassment law. We offer a safe space for women to talk about their situation and receive expert legal advice to enable them to make important decisions about their future.

We ask all our volunteers to:

• Provide advice on our advice lines for one 2-hour session a month (minimum);
• Attend the induction training session provided by Rights of Women;
• Give clear and accurate legal advice to callers;
• Be non-judgemental and non-discriminatory in their approach;
• Follow our procedures for making records of calls and obtaining monitoring information;
• Keep up to date with the law for the relevant advice lines;
• Attend all agreed advice line sessions (remotely);
• Inform us as soon as possible if they are unable to attend an agreed session;
• Abide by Rights of Women’s procedures, standards and policies, including equal opportunities and confidentiality in relation to staff, volunteers and users.

What are we looking for?

The qualifications and skills we look for in a volunteer are:

• A woman solicitor, barrister or CILEx member;
• A current practicing certificate;
• Ability to work remotely with adequate internet access and a private space;
• Good communication skills;
• The ability to deliver advice clearly and calmly;
• An empathetic, non-judgemental and non-discriminatory manner;
• A working knowledge of the relevant area of law for their advice line;
• Commitment to equal opportunities;
• Commitment to the aims and objectives of Rights of Women.

Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

What we need from you

You'll be:

• supporting and encouraging a team of fundraising volunteers
• planning fundraising events and activities with your team
• allocating tasks before and during fundraising events
• keeping financial records from fundraising events
• encouraging and promoting a professional image of Cats Protection
• following policies and guidelines and ensuring licences and permits are obtained for events

Time expectation

Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

Are you a HR professional? Could you give an hour a week to tackle pregnancy and maternity discrimination? Then we need you!

We’re not going to sugar-coat it, things aren’t great for working parents and pregnant women. It can feel frustrating and a bit depressing at times, but by being part of the Pregnant Then Screwed volunteer team, you get to turn that frustration into something positive. In the last year the fantastic volunteers on our Advice Line have spoken to over 5000 women and parents, collectively providing around 40 hours of free support and advice every week. Hundreds of women and parents call our Advice Line every day, but with a small team of volunteers we are only able to answer a fraction of those calls—this is where you come in.

We are looking for brilliant HR professionals who want to help Pregnant Then Screwed tackle the Motherhood Penalty by becoming a Volunteer HR Advisor.

Our Volunteer Advisors give around 1-2 hours a week of their time to the Advice Line. They use their HR knowledge to offer a kind, empathetic support and advice to help people to identify and challenge pregnancy and maternity discrimination in the workplace.

About the role

Role Title: Volunteer HR Advisor 
Location: Home-based (UK)
Reporting To: Head of Support Services

Time Commitment

The Advice Line is open Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm, with various available shifts during those times. We ask volunteers to give 1-2 hours per week on the Advice Line for a minimum of three months. 

Alternative time commitments can be considered and discussed as part of your application, so please do include any information that might be useful in your application form.

Main Role Purpose

The Advice Line HR Advisors play a vital role in providing support and guidance to working parents facing unfair treatment or discrimination in the workplace via our advice line. Volunteers will offer advice, listen empathetically, and provide information about employee rights and available resources. This role is critical in empowering parents to make informed decisions and navigate workplace challenges effectively.

Essential requirements

• Minimum CIPD level 5 Diploma in People Management with one professional reference.
• Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and policies related to pregnancy, maternity leave, and discrimination.
• Access to a mobile phone/laptop/tablet to receive calls. You will not be charged for calls and your number will not be shared.
• Access to a reliable and secure WIFI connection. Public WIFI is not suitable for this role.
• Excellent active and empathetic listening skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
• A kind and welcoming telephone manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Comfortable using online communication tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls to the PTS Advice Line from individuals seeking support and advice.
• Listen actively, empathise, and provide HR advice and guidance to support callers with their enquiries.
• Signpost to further information and other support organisations if necessary.
• Make referrals to our legal partner if required.
• Record all details of the call on our CRM system.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions, adhering to all Pregnant Then Screwed guidelines and policies.

ROLE TITLE: The Digital Navigator (Growth & Social Lead) – Men’s Mental Growth Movement

JOIN MINDSET:
Algorithms don't care about "awareness," and neither do we. We care about action. MINDSET is a new, volunteer-powered CIO that’s binning the clinical "waiting room" approach to men’s mental health. We’re building a movement around shared challenges and real-world connection.

We don't need a "social media manager" to post quotes. We need a Digital Navigator to lead our growth.

THE ROLE:
As our Digital Navigato, you are the link between our vision and the men who need it. You’ll be responsible for our digital presence, managing our "Coming Soon" campaigns, and using data to make sure our "Missions" are seen by the right men at the right time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Deploy the "Coming Soon" campaign across X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Monitor engagement—using data to tell The Frontline (The Doers) what activities men actually want.
• Apply for and manage our Google Ad Grant (up to £7.5k/month in free ads).
• Grow the waitlist using simple, high-impact digital funnels.

WHO YOU ARE:

• A digital marketer or social lead who knows that "likes" don't equal "impact."
• Someone who understands how to target male-leaning audiences effectively.
• A volunteer who wants to use their technical "day job" skills to save lives.

COMMITMENT: 

This is a volunteer role with no set hours. While we would ideally appreciate a committment of 2–3 hours per week, we are fully flexible around your other life commitments. You are free to stop volunteering at any time. This role is fully remote.

We don't want an "IT Support" person. We want a Systems Architect to build our engine room.

THE ROLE:
As our Tech Setup Lead, you are the invisible force that makes MINDSET scale. You’ll be responsible for setting up our "Tech Stack"—from volunteer comms to member waitlists—ensuring everything is automated, secure, and simple to use.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Set up and manage our Google Workspace for Nonprofits.
• Build our internal "Mission Control" using Slack and Notion.
• Implement a lean CRM/Email system (like Mailchimp) to manage our growing brotherhood.
• Bridge the gap between our vision and the digital tools that make it happen.

WHO YOU ARE:

• A tech-savvy pro who knows how to make different apps talk to each other.
• Someone who values "simple and scalable" over "complex and clunky."
• A volunteer who wants to build the foundation of a movement that changes lives.
