Temple Church is located in the Temple, City of London. The Church serves the legal colleges (Inns of Court) of Inner and Middle Temple, and serves members of the Inns and their families, London’s residents, visiting jurists and travellers from all over the world through the provision of some of the most uplifting services, music and discussions in London. Inner and Middle Temple have established a new registered charity, Temple Church Trust (Reg no 1205712), to maintain the Church, support its choristers and professional musical team, and develop its charitable activities. In advance of the Trust becoming operational in the summer, the Temple Church Committee wishes to appoint the first Chief Executive Officer of the Trust.
The role:
The CEO will be expected to lead and coordinate an established team of full-time and part-time staff; manage the Church’s multifaceted stakeholder network; ensure close control and management of the Church’s resources; and represent the Church and its work to the two Inns and externally so that the Church can function effectively and plan confidently for the future. The CEO will also be responsible for the Church's sensitive commercial development through the Trust’s wholly-owned commercial subsidiary company.
What we need:
You will be an excellent leader with effective interpersonal skills. Your recent experience will be at the director level or equivalent in the third sector, public sector, military or commerce. You will have a proven track record of leading or significantly contributing to the leadership of an organisation similar in size and complexity to the Temple Church. Proven experience in managing and delivering projects and income generation is essential. You should demonstrate a commitment to learning and development and sympathy for the mission and values of the Church of England.

Job Purpose
We are seeking a Finance Officer, based in our office in Newquay, Cornwall. The Finance Officer will provide financial, HR and administrative support to the Director of Finance and Administration and wider team. The Finance Officer role handles confidential matters and manages a varied workload, working independently to meet deadlines and accomplish tasks. The role will handle all day-to-day finance processing for the UK office, whilst also operating as part of a global finance team which increases the scope and interest of the role.
Oceana in the UK is expanding, and this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to support in the growth stage of an organisation, and to build experience across a broad range of finance responsibilities and other operational areas.
This role will be based in our Newquay, Cornwall office three days per week (Tues-Thurs) with two days home working (Mon and Fri). It reports to the Director of Finance and Administration.
Role Overview
Ø Responsibility for all day-to-day finance processing and system entries across accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, fixed assets, intercompany and other balance sheet accounts.
Ø Preparation of weekly vendor pay run, ensuring correct documentation and coding.
Ø Initial review of all expense and credit card entries to ensure correct documentation and coding.
Ø Preparation of all journal entries and balance sheet schedules for month end close, in accordance with global timetable, for review by Director of Finance and Administration.
Ø Support UK team to ensure all costs are covered by contract and relevant approval.
Ø Assist with monthly payroll processes and staff onboarding tasks.
Ø Design process guides and training as needed.
Ø Support Director of Finance and Administration to design, produce and maintain regular cost reporting for UK Budget holders.
Ø Support Director of Finance and Administration to maintain and improve financial processes and control measures.
Ø Ad-hoc project or problem-solving tasks in response to requests for financial information from UK or global teams, or to investigate banking, tax or process solutions as the UK office expands.
Ø Coordinate with external auditors, including preparation of supporting documentation as required for audit planning and year end field work.
Ø Support Director of Finance and Administration with general administrative tasks across Finance, HR, IT, Governance, Legal and Operations as required.
Ø Act as part of a global finance community, sharing knowledge with finance staff in other Oceana offices.
Ø Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
Ø Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Ø There is some flexibility in required financial qualifications, but we anticipate that the role would best suit AAT level 4.
Ø Practical work experience in a variety of finance roles is essential, ideally bringing experience from both small and large finance team environments.
Ø Strong IT literacy, with expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, and ability and confidence to learn multiple new systems. Some experience of cloud-based IT environments and accounting systems preferred.
Ø Ability to represent Oceana UK in a professional, diplomatic, and responsive manner.
Ø Excellent and effective verbal and written communication with all internal and external stakeholders, including technical, professional, and upper management staff.
Ø Must have excellent attention to detail and take pride in accuracy of work.
Ø Must maintain strict confidentiality when working with sensitive data and possess strong judgment in handling communications, expenses, and budgets.
Ø Willingness to identify problems and suggest resolutions, including providing advice on process improvements.
Ø Ability to handle many tasks simultaneously, with speed, accuracy and initiative.
Ø Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
Ø Must be motivated to show initiative in continuing to develop this role, and to provide excellent and enthusiastic financial and administrative support to an expanding team.

About the Role

SINCE 9/11 are seeking a dynamic and driven leader to manage the charity through its next phase of development.

Our work remains as important as ever, teaching young people across the UK – who weren’t even born in September 2001 – about the events, causes and consequences of 9/11 and subsequent terrorist atrocities.
In a world where extremism and terrorism pose a huge risk, both to life and to the pluralist ideals of democratic societies, SINCE 9/11 seeks to lead the way in educating young people and steering society towards a more peaceful and tolerant future. In order to do so, we are now seeking a talented, driven and engaging leader who can take our charity to the next level. We believe that we have a high-quality programme to take into schools and other settings working with young people; our challenge now is to ensure that our programme reaches as many schools as possible.
We therefore need a leader who is confident and creative in building relationships with schools, academy trusts, local authorities, subject associations and teaching unions; someone who is familiar with the national education environment. We are looking for an organised and effective coordinator to provide support to the the Controller of Governance and Assurance and the Global Head of Safeguarding. This will involve managing a portfolio of administrative responsibilities, including supporting key safeguarding stakeholders, Sightsavers global boards, as well as working with UK Board and sub committees, ensuring that they are provided with a comprehensive and efficient support service, enabling them to discharge their roles.

About the role.
As a member of the Cathedral Leadership Team and as the senior operational manager of Wells Cathedral, the COO is responsible for the delivery of the Chapter’s strategy and plans and for the day-to-day coordination of operations in the context of the ministry and mission of the Cathedral. Reporting to the Dean of Wells and accountable to the Chapter of Wells Cathedral, this is a full-time role which requires a presence onsite to carry out the duties effectively. About the role
This is a vital role supporting the Workforce Development team through the effective coordination of activities associated with a number of initiatives carried out within WorldSkills UK, including the completion of an award-winning pilot programme supporting education institutions to mainstream excellence into the delivery of technical education.
You will be working with a highly motivated and engaging team in a fast-paced environment, coordinating activities, managing resources, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, monitoring progress and evaluating impact. Role purpose
The Project Coordinator will proactively support the programming, coordination and management of a number of projects within the WorldSkills UK portfolio, including the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence and Network for Innovation as well as the International Skills Partnership initiatives. The successful applicant will work with the Senior Workforce Development Manager in supporting a team of High-Performance Skills Coaches based across the UK.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Cheshire. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. You will be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
About you
Desirably you will have some experience of working in advocacy, or providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education and support.
You should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.
How will you make a difference?
You will be responsible for ensuring the individual’s wishes, feelings, beliefs, needs, and values are met to create positive outcomes for the people you support.
You will support people to speak up for themselves and grow in confidence, equip them to understand and exercise their rights and options, and will assist them in the decision-making process relating to their care, treatment, and support.
You will work resourcefully and collaboratively with the individuals you support. You’ll be creative in your approach to empower our clients by ensuring you meaningfully explain people’s options and rights to them. You’ll support individuals to fully participate in decisions affecting them and will make sure they have their voices heard.
