Job description

The successful applicant will join the safeguarding team within the Diocese of Leeds.  The main purpose of this post is to support the implementation of the highest standard of safeguarding practice to ensure that a safe environment is provided for children, young people and adults who may be at risk.

This post will involve working with a team of safeguarding volunteers and clergy to enable communities to understand and implement safeguarding policies and procedures as defined by the Catholic Safeguarding Advisory Service.

The post holder will have an administrative base in the Leeds Diocesan Trust Safeguarding Office. The majority of the work will involve providing support to volunteers and the wider church community throughout the Diocese of Leeds. This will involve working at evenings and weekends.
