We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Lead for Impact Measurement and Evaluation to provide strategic impact guidance to the organisation to enable improved capture, measurement and communication of outcomes derived from BITC’s work.

The role will involve:

· Development and delivery of an impact and evaluation framework for BITC’s Place projects

· Development and delivery of a theory of change for BITC’s Place approach

· Support prospectus development as we reach our ambition of driving impact in 50 places by 2032

· Inform and oversee impact measurement, evaluation and communication across BITC

Experience Required

The successful candidate will have experience of impact strategy development and implementation, be proficient with a range of quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques and have experience of developing and leading the impact and evaluation approaches and models for key projects. 

Salary Range:

£42,435 - £57,000 (Nationwide)

Derby Family Drug and Alcohol Safeguarding Service specializes in working with parents, families, and young people across a range of home and community settings supporting parents to build insight into the impact of parental substance misuse whilst developing safety and risk management strategies to minimize risk to the wider family. The support package includes person-centered 1:1 intervention as well as peer groups, YP activities, and educational parenting courses.

Right now, we’re looking for an energetic, self-confident and flexible individual to develop and implement a participation plan and co-production and support the delivery of a volunteer programme across the service. Among your challenges will be the need to ensure general service user participation and empowerment is implemented across the service to help adults and young people who use it have input into service delivery decision making and development. You’ll also be responsible for supporting the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers. And, when it comes to creating a strategy for obtaining service user feedback or playing your part in wider organisational forums and groups, again, we will count on you to deliver.

To succeed, you’ll need broad experience of working with volunteers/peer mentor service users and promoting their needs, including within the substance misuse sector. A good understanding of the functional approach to substance misuse and the harm caused to individuals, families and communities by substance misuse and gambling will be key to your success, as will a commitment to the Recovery Agenda. Great at engaging with clients, you have what it takes to communicate and work effectively with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds. What’s more, you work well both independently and as part of a team and are adept at prioritising, planning and managing your workload. A willingness to work evenings and weekends and travel, mostly locally, is also required.

This is a fixed term part time role funded until 31st March 2025 and requiring the post holder to work 22.5 hours per week.

The role is generally between office hours of 9am-5pm with some occasional flexibility to support groups / activities in evenings if required as part of core working hours arrangement.

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative, project and event planning support to the Director of Network Programmes & Innovation. Due to the expansion of the Supported Lodgings service across Nottingham, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing team. 

Supported Lodgings is the provision of accommodation and support to care experienced young people between the ages of 16 and 21, within a home environment (either with an individual or family).  Supported Lodgings hosts provide the support and guidance the young person needs to develop the skills for their move on to independent living.

We are looking to recruit to a part time post which will be based both at our office in Beeston and at home.  Working hours will predominantly be office hours during the working week, however there may be the need to work flexibly at times. The role will include travel, primarily within Nottingham City but also the local surrounding areas.   

The primary objectives of this post are:

• To support the expansion of the service within the new Ofsted requirements.  This will include recruitment and assessment of potential hosts.

• To train and supervise hosts.

The Head of Finance has lead responsibility for overseeing the finance function of the organisation.  The role reports directly to the Chief Executive, is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and works closely with the Board of Trustees and in particular with the Treasurer.  The post holder also has responsibility for the line management of the Finance Officer and the Feeding Service Administrator (Finance Team).

What you will be doing as a Senior Trust Fundraiser:

• You will proactively and strategically develop national and regional funding bids, leading Kids relationships with a varied portfolio of funders.
• You will create and coordinate cross organisational project development groups and manage diverse priorities and input to craft national fundable projects that support the organisational strategies.
• You will build on relationships with existing supporters, working with service delivery staff to evidence impact in narrative and quantitative reports on funded projects and developing strategic applications to secure further support.

Personal qualities / experience required for the role of Senior Trust Fundraiser:

• You will have an understanding of budgets and feel comfortable fielding questions about charity finances

Summary of role 

The Policy Manager is a key role in supporting the development and implementation of WeProtect Global Alliance’s strategy and vision for a digital world designed to protect children from sexual exploitation and abuse.

We require a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong track record of carrying out policy research and analysis, who can build relationships with external stakeholders, provide technical support to governments, and is able to work in dynamic, global policy environments.

You will be responsible for monitoring policy and political developments, promoting evidence-based policies, and building and maintaining relationships with government, civil society and private sectors to foster change. You will have a sound understanding of how policy decisions are influenced and made. You will also lead on the development of policy outputs including briefings, papers and reports, working with colleagues to build evidence and articulate the Alliance’s work across our membership and with other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will demonstrate considerable professional experience in a comparable policy-focused role and will have a diverse skill set, encompassing critical policy analysis, effective communication of complex policy concepts to diverse audiences and strong project management skills. You will also have a demonstrable understanding of children’s rights and related public policy developments globally.

About WeProtect Global Alliance 

The internet was not created with children in mind and can be unsafe for children to explore. Every phone and computer is a potential gateway for offenders seeking to sexually exploit children. Our Alliance generates political commitment and practical approaches to make the digital world safe and positive for children, preventing sexual abuse and long-term harm.   

Our Alliance’s geographical reach is unprecedented: 102 countries are members along with 70 private sector companies and 94 civil society and 10 intergovernmental organisations. This diverse membership is key to our ability to deliver real change. WeProtect Global Alliance is supported by a high-performing secretariat of staff based in the UK and Belgium, and is overseen by an influential Global Policy Board. 

Policy Manager role and responsibilities 

Overall purpose of role 

WeProtect Global Alliance supports our members to achieve more together than they could alone, through pooling and sharing knowledge and data, solving problems and making a powerful case for change.

The Policy Manager role is pivotal to making a compelling case for action and bringing together experts to generate political commitment, develop policies and practical solutions to make the digital world safe and positive for children, preventing sexual exploitation and abuse and long-term harm. The role will support the vital work of our Global Taskforce, comprised of government members from across the globe. It will require close collaboration with the Communications and Engagement team and other members of the Alliance Secretariat.

Legislative, regulatory and policy work

• Lead on a range of policy projects on key emerging threats and responses to child sexual exploitation and abuse online.
• Analyse national legislation, policies, multilateral initiatives and regulatory approaches to identify trends, best practices, and opportunities for collaboration and policy learning.
• Prepare policy reports, briefs, and proposals, tailored to various audiences, including policymakers, stakeholders, and members, working alongside the Communications and Engagement team.
• Monitor the implementation and impact of policies, regulations, and legislative proposals regarding child sexual exploitation and abuse, including potential challenges in implementing and enforcing regulatory measures.
• Develop and evaluate policy options and recommendations based on evidence, best practice, and stakeholder input, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and member priorities.
• Support the drafting of responses to consultations, policy briefings, and other public policy initiatives, including relevant third-party publications.
• Promote, support and embed the use of the Alliance’s Model National Response with Government members including supporting the use of national legal and policy frameworks in accordance with the UNCRC and other regional and international and regional standards.
• Develop and maintain a good understanding of key legislative, policy and political developments in relation to child sexual exploitation and abuse online.

Global Taskforce

Support the focus and outcomes delivered by the Alliance’s Global Taskforce:

• Encourage and facilitate effective sharing of information among Taskforce member countries.
• Actively highlight valuable and impact resources available to governments.
• Support Taskforce member countries in identifying opportunities, actions and strategic steps within their national frameworks to enhance the protection of children.
• Organise bi-annual reporting and coordinating special events to foster leadership development for government officials involved in the Taskforce’s work.
• Maintain an up-to-date list of key contacts in Taskforce member countries.

Wider stakeholder engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, partners, and collaborators relevant to our work across the Alliance membership.
• Lead on development of or contribute to written outputs, such as reports, topic-specific briefing papers, website copy, presentations and blog posts to communicate the findings of our work to relevant audiences.
• Present analysis, evidence and findings about complex and sometimes contentious subjects to a wide range of audiences, ensuring an understanding of the subject and issues arising and enabling informed decision making.
• Represent the Alliance at key meetings as required, including presenting at and supporting the delivery of presentations at international events.
• Collaborate with WeProtect colleagues to integrate policy considerations into organisational initiatives and programmes ensuring coherence and effectiveness.

Person Specification 

Essential skills, experience and knowledge

• Strong commitment to the mission and values of WeProtect Global Alliance.
• Extensive professional experience in a comparable policy role in the not-for-profit sector, government, international/intergovernmental organisation or a social movement.
• A strong interest in children’s rights and preventing child sexual exploitation and abuse.
• Knowledge and understanding of public policy processes, with strong analytical skills to analyse and gather data
• Knowledge of children’s rights, in particular child protection issues.
• Advanced interpersonal, people and networking skills, including a successful track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
