We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Officer to join the fundraising team at the Batten Disease Family Association CIO (BDFA).

The BDFA, founded in 1998 is the only patient organisation in the UK for families affected by Batten disease, a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition that affects children and young adults. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them, as well as actively raising awareness, and promoting research into the management of Batten disease to improve patient care pathways and ultimately find a cure.

This is an exciting time to join the charity, which has grown to offer additional support services for families affected by Batten disease and to implementing a long-term strategy to develop its advocacy, education and research capabilities. We’re looking for an individual who has some experience in fundraising, particularly leading on all aspects of community fundraising, developing and nurturing relationships with volunteer fundraising groups and individual supporters. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of our CEO to develop community fundraising maximising the funds raised by volunteer fundraisers and developing supporter engagement. The successful candidate will also work alongside our Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer to support our Trusts and Foundations income generation.

The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:

- Experience in all aspects of community fundraising including events, assisting fundraisers to develop imaginative fundraising ideas and inspiring new supporters to raise funds whilst maintaining relationships with existing supporters

- Experience in building and sustaining long-term relationships with fundraising groups and individual supporters

- Experience in managing effective and creative fundraising communications on social media and the website

- Ability to contribute to the overall Trusts and Foundations income stream, including proactively researching and identifying grant funding opportunities 

- Ability to lead on creative fundraising campaigns around key events such as Batten disease awareness day and Christmas

This job requires a motivated individual who has a passion for all those within our Batten community and a strong desire to support the development and financial growth of the BDFA. The role is full time (35 hours per week) and is home based with occasional travel around the UK to meet donors and support fundraising events.

We are seeking a Community Development Officer to lead a major in-progress project improving recognition, support, and care for people with smell and taste disorders at a local level across England. 

This three-year, volunteer-led programme, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund has achieved significant success in its first eighteen months. We are now recruiting a new postholder to take this strong foundation forward through the next phase of delivery. 

Over the past eighteen months, we have recruited and established a thriving network of volunteers and local groups across England. This momentum is expected to continue. The Community Development Officer will work closely with existing volunteers and groups, primarily remotely, while also attending in-person events and meetings in different parts of England as needed. 

The postholder will lead the ongoing recruitment, training, and support of volunteer groups, working with them to identify opportunities for local outreach and engagement. Role Purpose 

We are seeking a Senior Digital and Information Security Specialist to join our small dedicated team of risk experts. In this role you will lead the development, delivery, and continual improvement of Kamara’s digital security offering and support a team of digital security specialists, review and refine their work, and ensure our approaches remain current with emerging trends and methodologies. You will also play a key role in administering and strengthening Kamara’s internal IT security and information management systems, working closely with the leadership team to ensure robust, resilient, and practical systems that align with our organisational goals. 

Who we are looking for 

We are looking for a technically skilled and people-centered digital security professional who combines deep technical expertise with excellent communication and facilitation skills. You will have a track record of providing pragmatic, context-sensitive digital security guidance to organisations operating across diverse budgets, capacities, and geographies. We particularly welcome candidates with experience supporting social justice or civil society organisations, especially those working in higher-risk environments. 

Key Responsibilities 

Project Design and Delivery 

- Design and deliver digital and information security assessments, management plans and protocols for a range of partner organisations 

- Facilitate engaging workshops (both virtual and in-person) to support partners in implementing and embedding digital security practices 

- Represent Kamara in meetings with partners 

Team and Curriculum Development 

- Support a small team of digital security specialists, reviewing and contributing to their learning and development 

- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of Kamara’s risk management methodologies and tools 

- Stay informed about emerging threats, technologies and best practices, using insights to strengthen our digital security offering 

Internal Digital Security and IT systems 

- Oversee and administer internal IT and digital security systems, working in close collaboration with the leadership team

- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments, recommending and implementing improvements as needed 

- Design and deliver digital security training sessions for staff, as required. 

Candidate Profile 

Essential: 

- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT and digital security roles - Experience providing direct digital security support and training, ideally to social justice or civil society organisations, and/or in higher-risk contexts - Excellent communication, facilitation and cross-cultural collaboration skills - Hands-on experience managing Windows/Linux/or macOS infrastructure and cloud-based environments (Azure, Google, Amazon) 

- Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment, mitigation, and hardening techniques 

- A pragmatic approach to digital security, with the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible, actionable guidance 

- Strategic view and experience managing digital and information security risks, including the intersection between information security and legal and regulatory frameworks 

- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) and ability to work within Western Hemisphere timezones 

Preferred: 

- Relevant professional qualification or certification in digital security, IT, or facilitation

The High Value Officer for our Fundraising team will focus and lead on supporting the Trusts and Major Donor teams with postal and electronic mailings; keeping the CRM up to date; supporting the Prospects Research Manager with initial research, identifying new opportunities and sources of funding; streamlining administrative systems and processes; creating purchase orders and invoices; supporting the Major Donor Manager with administration of the Mid Value pool.

This is a great junior role, offering opportunities in several High Value fundraising teams. You will get to use your administrative skills across a range of activities and also develop your research skills when looking at prospects and supporting the Corporate team in their due diligence work.

You will: 

1. With support from the MD Manager, lead on the day-to-day running of our Mid Value programme including administration and delivery of a calendar of activity

We are seeking a transformational and visionary Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) to lead a national youth focused organisation, dedicated to promoting peer-led early intervention support for those in need. The successful candidate will be the first employed leader, propelling Youth4Youth from its robust foundations to the next stages of its development. The role

The Project Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our Council funded Adult Bereavement Service in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This service aims to provide accessible, accessible, empathetic and effective support for adults affected by bereavement, particularly sudden or drug/alcohol-related deaths. The Project Delivery Officer will work collaboratively as part of the local and regional volunteer and staff team. The Research, Training and Consultancy Team is transforming. We focus on providing evidence based and insightful research, training and consultancy to a range of different stakeholders within the transport and planning sectors. This is an exciting time to join and be part of a new and dynamic training and consultancy provision function. This role is a mixture of delivering primary qualitive research, delivering training, and providing disability specialist information as a consultant.

Our work seeks to change the culture of transport and street design in the long term. You need to be an expert in disability access requirements and legislation and be able to undertake primary research techniques (such as facilitation, leading focus groups, workshops and survey design.Alongside this you will need a strong knowledge of disability equality and the social model, ideally with a focus on the transport and/or planning sector. You will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills. This role will require some travel (depending on client needs). 

Your role will be broken down into 4 main areas, undertaking primary research methods (with the guidance of the Research Manager); delivery of training providing expert advice and consultancy; liaising with clients. You will be supported by the Head of Research and Training and the Research Manager to deliver your key responsibilities.

Purpose of job

The Support and Integration Officer are responsible for providing excellent standards of support,
as well as quality information, advice and guidance, to enable the resettlement and successful
integration of refugees. This role is one of the main pillars of the service that ACH provides.

Key Responsibilities

 Completing an initial Pre-Tenancy Assessment for each person referred to the service asAs 
well as developing a personalised plan of support for them, ensuring that it is reviewed
regularly
 Giving advice and support on a range of issues, including housing, finance, education,
employment, health and immigration, as required.
 Supporting people with budgeting / registering with care providers / creating social
networks/advocacy/volunteering/training/employment opportunities, etc.
 Making internal and external referrals to other services, e.g ACH / Careers and Enterprise
or other relevant external agencies and referral partners as appropriate
 Organising and attending group trips to local places of interest for our tenants
 Developing links with external organisations or agencies to promote the needs of
refugees and create opportunities for partnership working.
 Effectively managing a designated caseload of tenants, as well as keeping accurate records
records and maintaining case files to a high standard.
 Fully participating in team meetings, staff meetings, training sessions, supervision and any
other relevant forums or communication processes.
 Organising house meetings and visiting our tenants both at their properties and in the
community
 Making use of CRM Salesforce reports to improve case management

Reporting to the Communications Manager and working closely with BASIC's programme teams, the postholder will develop, deliver, and analyse the impact of digital content across our online platforms — including BASIC's website and microsites, social media channels (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, BlueSky), and email communications.
