Since 1927, Cats Protection has helped thousands of cats each year, across the UK. As a community of volunteers, employees, supporters and partners, we’ve improved the lives of millions of cats and transformed the way millions of people see and care for cats.

You will fulfil an important role supporting a small construction team responsible for delivering a portfolio of national construction projects across the Cats Protection estate ranging from pen replacement projects and refurbishment of existing sites, through to new-build Cat Centres.

Responsibilities of our Construction Project Officer:

The Construction Project Officer will support the Head of Construction and Capital Project Managers in the delivery of the Cats Protection Capital Plan. The post holder will be responsible for producing and updating key project documentation and contributing to best project practice. As well as this, providing support to the construction team, delivering small projects, discrete work packages, a range of project assurance support functions, maintaining the associate pool, finance, reporting and information systems.

What we’re looking for in our Construction Project Officer:

- Relevant project management qualification, or at least 2 years’ project experience

- Experience in project management support through all project/construction stages

- Experience and understanding of Project finance and procurement systems

- Experience of project assurance administration

- A self-starter, ability to work alone on own initiative, also the willingness to work as part of a team

- Ability to prioritise tasks, and plan ahead accordingly

- Excellent IT skills for example, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Project and MS Teams

What we can offer you:

  • salary of up to £32,894.59 per annum plus excellent benefits
  • generous annual leave entitlement
  • life assurance scheme
  • range of health benefits including private healthcare
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • and more

Through our values and behaviours we help people see the world through cats’ eyes. Together we can make a difference.
