Team Sahara is a dedicated Dementia Support Service supporting South Asian communities across Greater Manchester. We're a small, passionate team with a welcoming and supportive culture, committed to helping people living with dementia and those who care for them access the right support at the right time.

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Dementia Adviser to join us, working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (21 hours per week). Because this role works closely with South Asian communities, you'll need to be fluent in English and at least one South Asian language, such as Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Bangla or Gujarati.

About the role

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing personalised information, guidance and emotional support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and help them access the services, resources and networks that can make a difference to their lives.

Your days will be varied and meaningful. You might be visiting someone at home, supporting a family over the telephone, delivering a dementia awareness session in the community or working alongside local professionals to ensure people receive joined-up support. You will manage your own caseload, respond to referrals and maintain accurate records, while always keeping the individual at the centre of your work.

A big part of this role is building relationships within South Asian communities across Greater Manchester. You will work closely with community groups, faith organisations, health and social care professionals and other local partners to increase awareness of dementia, strengthen community connections and improve access to support for people affected by dementia.

You will also help facilitate Memory Cafés and other group activities, creating welcoming and inclusive spaces where people can connect with others, access information and feel supported.

You will be part of a caring and supportive local team who share ideas, learn together and encourage one another. There will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills, with regular support from your manager and colleagues.

About you

You will have:

- An understanding of dementia, or a willingness to learn about the experiences of people living with dementia and those who care for them.
- Experience providing information, guidance, advice or emotional support. This could be from health, social care, community, voluntary, customer service or other people-focused roles.
- The ability to build trust and positive relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively whilst balancing competing priorities.
- Confidence using IT systems to maintain accurate and confidential records.
- A compassionate, non-judgemental and person-centred approach.
- The ability to travel independently across Greater Manchester.
- Confidence speaking to groups and delivering presentations to communities, professionals and public audiences.
- Fluency in English and at least one South Asian language. Fluency in Bangla or Gujarati would be particularly beneficial.

We are looking for a warm, thoughtful and organised Dementia Adviser to join our supportive team in Bridgend and the wider Cwm Taff Morgannwg area working 21 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2027.

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing ongoing support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and offer guidance that helps them feel steadier and more confident as their situation changes.

Your days will be varied and meaningful. You might be visiting someone at home, offering calm reassurance over the phone, or working closely with other professionals to make sure the right support is in place. We operate a triage system for new referrals and you will play your part in making sure people are responded to quickly and thoughtfully. You will manage your own caseload, keeping clear and accurate records, while always seeing the person behind the paperwork.

You will be part of a caring and dynamic local team who share ideas, reflect together and support one another. There will be time to meet as a team and opportunities to keep growing your knowledge of dementia, with your manager and colleagues alongside you.

About you

You will have:

- An understanding of dementia, or a willingness to learn about the experiences of people living with dementia and those who care for them.

At Pilgrims Hospices, clinical volunteers are a vital part of how we care for patients and families. Working alongside our clinical teams, they support everything from ward-based care to therapy services, bereavement groups and community programmes. Their time, compassion and presence help shape the experience of care in very real and meaningful ways.

We are now looking for a Clinical Volunteer Lead to provide leadership to this work across our services.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a large and diverse group of clinical volunteers, working across inpatient, therapy, psychosocial and community settings. Citizens Advice Woking is seeking a Community Outreach Adviser to join our new three-year National Lottery Community Fund project supporting residents in the Canalside area.

This community-based role will provide free, independent and impartial advice on issues including welfare benefits, debt, housing and energy. You will deliver outreach sessions, build strong relationships with local residents, community groups and partner organisations, and help improve access to advice for people who may face barriers to traditional services.

Working closely with South Asian communities and other residents whose first language may not be English, you will help ensure our services are inclusive, accessible and responsive to local needs. You will also work alongside volunteers and local organisations to develop the project through a co-production approach, empowering communities and creating lasting positive change.

We resource, connect and champion a network of over 6,300 Warm Welcome Spaces and bring together a growing coalition of local, regional, and national partners representing the worlds of charity, faith, business, government, and philanthropy. By working together, we can unlock the power of community spaces made by and for everyone, creating a thriving network of hope and reconnection fueled by human warmth.

The Opportunity

We are expanding our programmes and partnership team and so we are looking for a Warm Welcome Space Support Coordinator (based in the East Midlands).

To support the range and depth of opportunities we can offer to Warm Welcome Spaces, we are looking for a Spaces Support Coordinator to work primarily on supporting our Champions programme, as well as other exciting programme opportunities, to ensure they are as successful as possible in delivering impact for Spaces by meeting their targets. 

We’re looking for someone who thrives on the variety of connecting with a huge range of people and who is organised and systematic while at the same time has room for creativity, learning and innovation. Warm Welcome Responsibilities

Working closely with the Warm Welcome Spaces Support Manager and wider team your primary responsibility will be to provide Project Coordination related to projects that are designed to support Warm Welcome Spaces, taking ownership of specific projects and tasks as required, including;

Project Coordination:

• Owns and manages parts of a project and ensures successful delivery - for example within the Warm Welcome Champions Programme or Partnership volunteering opportunities to benefit Spaces. This will include organising specific events as part of wider projects

• Develops project plans and timelines and maintains updates and progress

• Communicates clearly about a project and ensures the project is keeping to the planned timeline and outcomes, identifying any delivery challenges quickly

Working Arrangements

Gareth Stacey House and Lansworth House are our 24-hour supported housing services in central Brighton and Hove offering high levels of housing-related support for young people aged 16-25 with multiple and complex needs. The services have 15 and 20 bedspaces respectively, with shared communal facilities; the services support young people to manage their daily living activities in areas including finances and budgeting, developing life and work skills, and managing self-care.

We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing and Compliance

• Support young people to understand and comply with their occupancy agreements, including coaching them to meet house rules and responsibilities as part of preparing for successful independent living.
• Promote a strong rent‑payment and credit culture, encouraging residents to maintain regular payments and understand their financial obligations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and statutory requirements affecting young people, ensuring practice aligns with current housing law and organisational policies.
• Respond promptly and effectively to breaches of agreement, including rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, or property damage, using restorative approaches where appropriate and working collaboratively with the wider team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).

There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role, but you will get to know the team and service, along with an induction and training prior to starting on a rota.

We’re looking for an Outreach Support Worker to join our team, supporting vulnerable individuals across Castle Point, Rochford and Brentwood areas across Essex, (so a full UK driving licence and access to your own car is essential). We currently have multiple opportunities available within this team, with both full-time (37.5 hours) and part-time roles (30 or 21 hours per week).

Joining us as an Outreach Support Worker, you’ll provide both planned support and crisis intervention to individuals with a range of needs, helping them maintain their homes and build the skills required for independent living. You’ll work with customers across the community, delivering person-centred, flexible support tailored to their individual circumstances. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues and partners, you’ll play a key role in creating a supportive, inclusive environment while contributing to the continuous development of services that meet the needs of our communities.

What your day might look like

• Start by visiting customers in their homes, helping them maintain their tenancies and build essential life skills.
• Support individuals with navigating welfare benefits, accessing services, and building confidence.
• Liaise with external agencies to ensure customers get the right support at the right time.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed, always with empathy and professionalism.

• Good IT skills, including maintaining accurate electronic records using systems such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and databases.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends where required.

The Assistant FP&A Analyst plays an important supporting role in contributing to budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and reporting across the Society. Our dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers, and Bank Workers provide personalised guidance, practical assistance, and signposting in key areas including housing, budgeting, daily living skills, employment, and healthy relationship building.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team at Eastbourne Foyer, with the expectation of working from our other sites in Hailsham when required. You will hold a caseload of residents and carry out regular key work sessions with them each week. Through these sessions, you will work together to develop personalised support plans, track progress, and help residents achieve their goals.

Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing and Compliance

• Support young people to understand and comply with their occupancy agreements, including coaching them to meet house rules and responsibilities as part of preparing for successful independent living.
• Promote a strong rent‑payment and credit culture, encouraging residents to maintain regular payments and understand their financial obligations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and statutory requirements affecting young people, ensuring practice aligns with current housing law and organisational policies.
• Respond promptly and effectively to breaches of agreement, including rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, or property damage, using restorative approaches where appropriate and working collaboratively with the wider team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).

There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role, but you will get to know the team and service, along with an induction and training prior to starting on a rota.

• Ability to manage arrears, ASB, and other non‑compliance issues using appropriate and restorative approaches.
• Good knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding procedures, and compliance requirements, with the ability to maintain clear professional boundaries.
• Familiarity with statutory and voluntary services available to young people and ability to work proactively with a caseload to support progression towards independent living.

Skills and Abilities

• Confident in record‑keeping, including case notes, incident reporting, and health and safety checks.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for appropriate recording of a resident’s progression, and to evidence outcomes achieved.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including signposting and advocating for clients as necessary.
• Ability to work autonomously, and use own initiative, as well as being part of a team.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT, and keyboard skills.
• Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately.

Gareth Stacey House and Lansworth House are our 24-hour supported housing services in central Brighton and Hove offering high levels of housing-related support for young people aged 16-25 with multiple and complex needs. The services have 15 and 20 bedspaces respectively, with shared communal facilities; the services support young people to manage their daily living activities in areas including finances and budgeting, developing life and work skills, and managing self-care.

We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures.

We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our teams across Lansworth House and Gareth Stacey House, working flexibly between both sites to ensure young people are safe.

You will respond promptly to any reported incidents, accidents, or concerns, carrying out thorough checks and taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone on site. You will also take a proactive approach to preventing anti‑social behaviour, working closely with support staff to maintain a positive environment. In addition, you will carry out one‑to‑one interventions with young people who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or who require medical assistance, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate support.

What you will be doing - this is more than a night shift role - it’s an opportunity to make a real difference, working as part of a dedicated team committed to helping young people grow and develop.

Main areas of responsibilities are:

Safety and security

• Provide a friendly, professional presence and ensure the building remains safe, secure and welcoming at night.
• Support resident wellbeing by upholding health and safety procedures, house rules and tenancy requirements.
• Monitor risks and respond to incidents calmly and appropriately, recording and reporting to the relevant teams. 

Resident engagement

• Welcome residents and offer informal, responsive assistance to help them develop confidence, independence and life skills.
• Encourage residents to share their views and engage with available services and opportunities.
• Assist with evening groupwork sessions that promote learning, wellbeing and positive development.

Administration and housekeeping

• Complete essential admin tasks including data entry, case notes and record management.
• Carry out routine health and safety, compliance and room checks.
• Log maintenance issues to ensure the building remains safe and well maintained.

General

• Work collaboratively on a four‑on, four‑off rota, providing consistent, non‑judgemental support overnight.
• Maintain a calm, professional approach and handle challenging situations effectively.
• Take part in ongoing training and reflective practice to support psychologically informed care.

This role involves lone working, so you will need to be confident in decision‑making and in following procedures. Health Consultant Role

This role is an essential part of CoramBAAF’s multi-disciplinary offer for CoramBAAF members, providing expertise, knowledge and experience of health practice and policy within Adoption, Kinship and Foster care. Key responsibilities include

• Providing leadership and direction in respect of CoramBAAF’s goal to promote positive health outcomes for care experienced children and young people including adopted children and children in kinship care.

• Developing policy and good practice guidance for health and social care professionals and services in a multi-disciplinary context.

• Facilitating the CoramBAAF Health Group and the Health Advisory Committee and ensure that the work of the health group continuously develops to meet the first two objectives.
• Working in partnership alongside the CoramBAAF’s existing health consultant

As a professional membership organisation CoramBAAF is responsible for delivering high quality research-based policy advice and briefing updates to its members and other relevant stakeholders, including central and local government. This role sits within the policy, research and development (PRD) team. The PRD team is led by the Managing Director of policy, research and development and consists of consultants who specialise in different forms of family placement from an interdisciplinary perspective including social work, legal, health and research. Core to the team’s role is the contribution to membership services and products, including publications, conferences, briefings, practice notes and forms. The team also convenes a number of advisory committees and special interest groups that support and feed into these primary functions.

East Sussex Transitional Housing is a low-support service, providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for 98 young people between the ages of 18-25 who have been, or are, at risk of homelessness. We have a small, supportive, and established team which manages 18 housing properties across, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures.

You will be based at the YMCA office in Eastbourne but will be visiting our 7 properties around Eastbourne each week, meeting with residents in their homes and at the office.

Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing and Compliance

• Support young people to understand and comply with their occupancy agreements, including coaching them to meet house rules and responsibilities as part of preparing for successful independent living.
• Promote a strong rent‑payment and credit culture, encouraging residents to maintain regular payments and understand their financial obligations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and statutory requirements affecting young people, ensuring practice aligns with current housing law and organisational policies.
• Respond promptly and effectively to breaches of agreement, including rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, or property damage, using restorative approaches where appropriate and working collaboratively with the wider team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).

There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role, but you will get to know the team and service, along with an induction and training prior to starting on a rota.

Experience and Knowledge

• Experience in housing or supported accommodation, ideally supporting young people with multiple and complex needs.
• Strong understanding of occupancy agreements, rent management, welfare benefits, and tenancy sustainment.
• Ability to manage arrears, ASB, and other non‑compliance issues using appropriate and restorative approaches.
• Good knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding procedures, and compliance requirements, with the ability to maintain clear professional boundaries.
• Familiarity with statutory and voluntary services available to young people and ability to work proactively with a caseload to support progression towards independent living.

Skills and Abilities

• Confident in record‑keeping, including case notes, incident reporting, and health and safety checks.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for appropriate recording of a resident’s progression, and to evidence outcomes achieved.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including signposting and advocating for clients as necessary.
• Ability to work autonomously, and use own initiative, as well as being part of a team.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT, and keyboard skills.
• Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately.

We are looking for a warm, thoughtful and organised Dementia Adviser to join our supportive team in Selby and Tadcaster working 25 hours per week, on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2027.

This is a community-based role involving regular travel across the area including local home visits, meetings, and direct support, with the flexibility to work from home based on business and community needs.

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing ongoing support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and offer guidance that helps them feel steadier and more confident as their situation changes.

Our Hospital Dementia Adviser provides vital support to people living with dementia during their hospital stay. You’ll work directly with individuals who have a dementia diagnosis and their families, helping them understand their situation, navigate hospital processes, and plan a safe and confident discharge home with the right support in place.

This is a hospital-based role that involves regular walking between wards and departments. You will work closely with the wider Local Services Team to ensure that people are smoothly connected to ongoing support in the community once they leave the hospital.

Although there is no direct personal or clinical care involved, this role is all about offering high-quality advice, guidance, and emotional support. You will collaborate with hospital staff, volunteers, and external partners to ensure that people affected by dementia receive the right information and feel supported throughout their journey.

We operate a triage system for new referrals and you will play your part in making sure people are responded to quickly and thoughtfully. You will manage your own caseload, keeping clear and accurate records, while always seeing the person behind the paperwork.
You will be part of a caring and dynamic local team who share ideas, reflect together and support one another. There will be time to meet as a team and opportunities to keep growing your knowledge of dementia, with your manager and colleagues alongside you.

About you 

We are looking for someone compassionate, organised, and confident working in a busy hospital environment.

- Have an understanding of dementia and the needs of people living with dementia (experience with other health conditions or support needs will also be considered).
- Be comfortable moving around a hospital sites at Hull Royal Information and Castle Hill Hospitals and engaging with people in a fast-paced setting.
- Be comfortable providing information, guidance, advice or emotional support - this could be from health, social care, community, voluntary, customer service or other people focused roles.
- You will be able to listen and communicate, with the ability to build trust and rapport with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Be able to manage your workload effectively, with appropriate support and tools, and to balance competing priorities.
- Confidence using IT systems to maintain accurate and confidential records.
- A compassionate, non-judgemental and person-centred approach, with respect for diversity and individual lived experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Help people maintain independence, improve wellbeing, and feel more in control of their care. Support individuals and families as they navigate their hospital admission and prepare for discharge.
- Deliver Dementia Friends sessions and work alongside colleagues and volunteers to provide compassionate support.
- Build supportive, trusting relationships with people living with dementia and their carers across, recognising and respecting individual needs and circumstances.
- Host drop-in sessions, run information stalls, and attend events within the hospital.
- Provide personalised information, advice and emotional support that reflects each person’s culture, background, values and preferences.
- Deliver support through home visits, telephone contact and partnership working other professionals.
- Participate in the triage rota, ensuring new referrals are handled promptly, sensitively and equitably.
- Manage a defined caseload, maintaining accurate, respectful and confidential records.
- Signpost and connect individuals to appropriate local services and community networks, reducing isolation and increasing access to support.
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment, contributing to reflective practice and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate and deliver regular peer support groups creating a safe, inclusive environment where people affected by dementia can share experiences, build connections, and access tailored information and guidance.
