The Role
We have recently set a new 3-year strategy, leading to a major transformation of the organisation. To support this, we have built a new Project Delivery function and invested in key capabilities, including project management and business analysis. Outline of the role
The IT Manager at IAPB will be responsible for overseeing our IT systems, infrastructure and digital services, ensure they are reliable, secure and aligned with IAPB needs. This role will provide leadership on IT strategy, manage day to day operations, be the key liaison with our outsourced IT provider and support staff to use technology effectively to deliver our mission. We have staff located both in the UK and globally, so working effectively with and understanding the needs of our diverse workforce is key.
Scope and accountability
Reporting to Head of Finance, the post holders role will include:
1. IT strategy and planning
- Conduct a full review of all IT systems and processes
- Develop and deliver the IT strategy in line with organisational goals

2. Systems and infrastructure

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer to join our AI Platform team.
The AI Platform team supports our product teams in developing the best and safest AI features in the EdTech space. The team maintain AI platform services, prompt libraries, and reusable pipelines that can be applied across multiple projects.
In this role, you may work on:

Enhancing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines,

Optimising embedding and vector similarity systems through semantic search, clustering, filtering logic, and dimensionality reduction techniques.

Supporting model evaluation and safety tooling, such as automated test harnesses, hallucination detection, content moderation and input guardrails.

Contributing to model fine-tuning, prompting and deployment, with a focus on balancing performance, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations and Systems Manager to join our team. As Operations and Systems Manager, you will ensure SMK’s operations are well managed, and make sure that we have all the processes, technology and policies needed to operate effectively. We’re looking for someone to take initiative to improve things where needed and bring their experience from elsewhere to the team.
The Operations and Systems Manager will work closely with the CEO, Board and staff team of 6, and hold the relationships with our external IT, Accounting and HR providers. You will also play a key role within the organisation in shaping culture and supporting staff to carry out their roles to the best of their abilities.

Flexible and Hybrid Working
Our office base is located in central London. You need to be in the office for a minimum of 1 day per week and further Team Days and Board Away Days. Travel and accommodation for working at our London office is at the job-holders own expense. Expenses incurred for SMK business outside London are covered by the charity.
The 15hours per week can be worked flexibly across Monday to Thursday, with a preference for them to include at least part of Monday and Tuesday to accommodate our weekly team meetings (Monday mornings) and Board Meetings which occur quarterly (Tuesday afternoons)..

The Finance and Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the charity’s financial and operational functions. About The Role
As a SQL Insight Analyst, you will be at the heart of our charity’s ambition to drive our decision making through evidence and data backed insights. Working closely with the rest of the Data, Insights and Research team to enable their access to aggregated or granular data points from our Services and Fundraising databases.
You will become an expert on the data points we collect at Help For Heroes and gain understanding of how these all play a part in achieving our overall goal of ensuring Members of the Armed Forces Community Live Well after Service.
About You
You will be a highly motivated SQL code writer with a passion for making a difference in our community. You will need a sharp and dynamic mind that can infer the business logic that underpins the work we do. You will have the adaptability to be able to speak both in business logic and in the translated SQL language that access the data points needed to provide insight on a particular business challenge. Good organisational skills, energy and the ability to listen, build relationships and inspire both confidence and curiosity within our dataset will be essential to drive the change the Charity is looking for.
We are looking for someone with:
- The ability to write efficient and accurate SQL code.
- An aptitude for understanding business logic and translating that into all code written.
- Strong communication skills to ensure that requirements are agreed and understood on both sides of the ask.
- Basic knowledge of BI tools, in order to implement connections and code to allow for visualisation of the aggregated data.
- Effective and efficient organisational and IT skills.

- We meet as a team quarterly, most often in London or in Downton (near Salisbury). Travel and accommodation if required would be provided.
