Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the CEO as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the role of Director of Finance exists to maximise the effective deployment of Unseen’s resources in pursuit of the charity’s mission. Summary and key purpose

This new role will be primarily responsible for developing, marketing and managing our individual giving together with working across other fundraising disciplines. You will be a key member of our fundraising team, producing compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory. You will ensure that our donors receive excellent care.

Our Individual Giving programme will incorporate one-off donations, regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals and in-memory giving. You will do this, with the support of our recently appointed fundraising agency, who you will manage our relationship with week by week.

A critical element of the role will be how we market ourselves to potential new donors, taking them on an emotional engagement journey in order to solicit regular gifts.

Your expertise and skills:

To excel in this role, you will need prior experience of working in a fundraising setting, with an understanding of good stewardship practices. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, working across teams and meeting multiple deadlines. Your excellent relationship management skills will enable you to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and gather information on new projects. You must have a thorough understanding of individual giving, developing donor journeys and experience of work with agencies.

Key responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of the regular giving programme, project managing appeals and overseeing the thanking process for individual donors.
• Create, plan, deliver and evaluate multi-channel, compliant, insight-led, supporter-centric campaigns to engage and drive action from new and existing supporters.

Role overview

City of Trees is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Engagement Officer to develop and manage volunteer experience and consultation at City of Trees’ new tree nursery. The Role

BASIC is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead our finance function during a period of sustained growth. The Financial Controller will work across Programme teams ensuring strong financial management and reporting to funding partners, maintain strong financial controls, ensure compliance with charity finance regulations, and provide accurate financial reporting to our Directors and Board of Trustees.

The Financial Controller will oversee the small finance team, including line management of a Finance Assistant and management of an external bookkeeper consultant. This team will be responsible for the majority of financial accounting, processing payroll, and accurate bookkeeping, for which the Financial Controller will be ultimately accountable.

The role includes managing restricted and unrestricted funds in accordance with funder requirements and programme needs, preparing statutory accounts for external audit, and overseeing payroll processing. This role reports directly to the Executive Director to prepare annual budgets and financial strategy, and works closely with the Board's Financial Development Committee to present its implementation.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills, experience in charity finance, and a proven track record of effective financial management of a growing organisation. You should be comfortable both managing a small team and working hands-on when needed, building collaborative relationships across the organisation. You will need to be a multitasker with the ability to work at pace, and be willing to develop the finance function and best practices to enable the organisation to grow further.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting and Reporting

TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served. 

Young people in our communities are facing complex challenges. Mental health struggles, pressures at school, family instability and the impact of poverty can leave them feeling isolated or overlooked. Too often, they don’t have access to the right support at the right time. TRAIN exists to change that. ABOUT THE ROLE 

As Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, your main focus will be trusts and foundations: researching opportunities, writing persuasive applications and producing clear reports. You’ll also play a part in growing support from corporates, community fundraising, individual donors and major gifts, helping to build a broader base of income over time. 

Alongside this, you’ll lead on communications. That means keeping our website and social channels current, producing supporter newsletters, and sharing our story more widely through PR and campaigns. You’ll help make sure the difference TRAIN makes for young people is seen and understood by funders, partners and the local community. 

It’s a hands-on role, well-suited to someone who enjoys writing, building relationships and juggling different projects. You don’t need to be an experienced fundraiser — we’re open to people with transferable skills, whether from corporate, public or third sector backgrounds. What matters most is that you can communicate clearly, organise your workload, and are motivated by making a difference for young people. 

You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the rest of the team. This is a part-time role of approximately 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot with hybrid working, but for the right candidate we will consider a fully remote arrangement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Fundraising (approx. 80%) 

• Pipeline and planning – work with the CEO to keep a clear fundraising plan, with trusts and foundations as the main focus alongside manageable growth in corporates, community, and individual giving. 

• Trusts and foundations – research prospects, build a live pipeline, and write strong, tailored bids. Prepare accurate budgets and gather evidence from the team to strengthen proposals. 

• Reporting and stewardship – deliver timely reports, thank funders and donors well, and manage renewals and uplift opportunities. 

• Relationship development – nurture links with local businesses, community groups and potential major donors. Prepare simple proposals and support fundraising events or activities as needed. 

• Systems and compliance – maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines and outcomes. Ensure fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and charity regulations. 

Communications (approx. 20%) 

• Supporter communications – produce engaging newsletters, updates and thank-yous that connect donors and partners with TRAIN’s impact. 

• Digital presence – update the website and social media channels with accurate, timely content that reflects TRAIN’s work and values. 

• PR and profile – share stories with local media, partners and networks. Ensure TRAIN’s messaging is clear, consistent and accessible. 

• Community engagement – promote TRAIN’s profile, youth offer, brand and presence in the community. 

General 

• Work closely with the CEO to align fundraising and comms priorities. 

• Collaborate with youth work staff to gather stories, quotes and data that demonstrate TRAIN’s impact. 

• Represent TRAIN at meetings and community events. 

• Contribute to the life of a small, collaborative team.

Oasis Southampton City Farm is a community focused registered charity working in Southampton. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.

We are looking for sessional farm assistants who will support the Farm Lead in delivering the vision for the farm by supporting the delivery of the farm’s variety of activities, including:

 · To deliver youth activities on the farm, supporting young people to help care for the animals

· To deliver birthday parties on weekends to groups of up to 30,

· To deliver animal experiences, giving families the opportunity to meet and greet our rescued and rehomed animals

· To support our adult day service with caring for our animals
