Job details
Hours: 37.5 per week.
Work pattern: Usually Monday to Friday working during office hours with occasional weekends and out of hours work, however we do operate very flexibly.
Salary: Between £60,000-£70,000 per annum depending on experience (full-time)

Key Responsibilities
Executive leadership and strategic contribution
- Report directly to the CEO, providing regular updates on financial performance, risk management, and operational efficiency. Additionally, the CFRO will present detailed financial reports, risk assessments, and progress on strategic goals to the Board of Trustees, ensuring transparency and alignment with the charity's long-term objectives.
- As a key member of the Executive Team, actively contribute to the development and refinement of the charity’s overall strategy, aligning financial and risk management goals with broader charity objectives.

Financial strategy and governance

Compliance and regulatory oversight
- Ensure full compliance with charity governance, statutory reporting, and all relevant legal obligations, including charity law, tax regulations,, financial reporting standards and data protection. The postholder will also act as our Data Protection Officer.
- Ensure that the charity adheres to all relevant health and safety regulations, creating and maintaining a safe working environment for staff, volunteers, and visitors.
Leadership and team development
- Lead, manage, and inspire the Charity Support Services team, ensuring a high level of collaboration and providing the resources needed for effective performance.

Stakeholder management and reporting

Education:
- Essential: A recognised accountancy qualification (preferably ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

About the oppurtunity:
You will help drive the quality and impact of our key stage 2 (KS2) and key stage 4 (KS4) maths tutoring programmes through subject-specific training of volunteer tutors, and by advising and supporting our (mostly) non-teaching staff members who manage these volunteer tutors day to day.

Specific responsibilities relating to the role:
Supporting the delivery of our maths curriculum:
- Design and deliver online maths-focused training for volunteer tutors so that subject knowledge is secure within the tutor community.
- Provide advice and support, including some direct tutor communications, on subject-specific matters for Action Tutoring staff who manage volunteer tutors.
- Maintain existing tutoring GCSE and KS2 maths curriculum resources to ensure volunteer tutors have high quality materials to use in sessions.

- Work with Action Tutoring’s volunteer engagement team to feedback trends so that the quality assurance process at the tutor application stage is as strong as possible.

- Support the Training Manager by delivering up to four virtual initial tutor training sessions a week during peak months, presenting Action Tutoring’s established training content.

Due to a restructure, we are seeking a confident and experienced Modern Slavery Case Worker with a wide range of skills and importantly, a ‘can do’ approach.
As the Modern Slavery Case Worker, you will work as a member of a close and supportive team providing a safe environment for vulnerable female adults and their dependents up to the age of 1 from outside the UK who have experienced trauma and exploitation. You will provide high quality practical and emotional support to the residents within a risk assessed safe house setting. The role will involve assisting clients with increasing practical skills and self-confidence to empower and enable independent and safe living.
You will be expected to line manage Case Worker Assistants and bank staff. Additionally, you will be allocated a caseload of up to 5 service users to support.
This role is mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend shifts. You will be required to be part of an on-call rota and able to get to and from the project if it is necessary to attend the project whilst on-call.
You must have experience of working with vulnerable adults, the ability to work within a ‘risk associated’ environment and, ideally, experience of working within a residential or community setting with non-UK citizens.
Administration / IT skills and health and safety awareness are essential. Modern Day Slavery, Immigration and knowledge of the asylum process would be desirable. Please also note that there is a substantial amount of administrative work involved in this role.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Programms & Communications Manager to support our events, marketing, website management and membership functions. This role requires a dynamic individual who is detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities, and experienced in project coordination. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, problem-solver, and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Project Management/ Event Management

Managing and coordinating BIMA events, iftar, events, dinners, charity health promotions.

Coordinate local network projects/ activities for Luton Muslim Health Alliance and London Muslim Health Network, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.

Track project progress, and provide status updates to Senior Management Team.

Support logistical requirements of the events, this may include but not limited to printing, refreshments, liaising with venues, volunteers, stakeholders.

Facilitate team meetings, document minutes, and follow up on action items.

Evaluating and completing written reports on the projects and deliverables.

Marketing Management

Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and content creation.

Content creation and curation, working with a marketing agency, ensuring consistency with branding and messaging.

Collate marketing materials, ensuring consistency with branding and messaging.

Maintain marketing databases and mailing lists.

Management/ Engagement on Social Media Platforms.

Assist with promotional activity for BIMA events.

Creating an evergreen campaign on membership growth.

Membership Onboarding

Reviewing and processing membership sign ups via the website.

Reviewing and processing members on BIMA’s whatsapp community.

Maintain and deliver professional customer service for membership queries.

Administration

Supporting BIMA teams and colleagues in organising and delivering projects and events, this may include but not limited to email management, marketing and promotion, database management and logistical support.

Support senior leadership in administration and management of the email inbox.

Person Specification

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as event management or project management

Demonstrated expertise in marketing, event planning, and website management, with a track record of successful campaigns and initiatives.

Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create compelling, persuasive, and well-structured content tailored to diverse audiences.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English at a professional level.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Experience with website management platforms (e.g., WordPress) is highly desirable.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Highly self-motivated and proactive, with a strong drive to take initiative and achieve goals.
