The Finance Manager reports into the Chief Executive and is a key role in ensuring organisational resilience, and supporting strong governance and data driven decisions for this impactful organisation.  Your competence with managing day to day financial management operations, and year end are a given.  You will also be a supportive and consultative manager to the Finance Assistant reporting into this role.  What sets the successful candidate apart, is the ability to work closely and effectively with other areas of the organisation.  You will work closely with the Fundraising team, and with the Education Programmes teams.  You will also feel comfortable to present to non-finance related stakeholders such as the Executive team and Board of Trustees, enabling your colleagues to feel fully informed, and being able to answer questions as needed.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent and will have substantial experience as a senior financial lead within a small organisation.  Your relational capability will also be key, and as such you will be able to demonstrate your strong interpersonal skills and flexibility to work and travel on occasional evenings. An alignment with the mission of the organisation will also be of utmost importance.

This position is a part time role, working 4 days per week and is based in the London office for 2 days per week.

Position Overview

This interim Management Accountant role is central to maintaining the financial health and transparency of a multi-faceted charity operation. You'll assist with, and ultimately prepare accurate management accounts, analyse financial performance across commercial operations, and support budgeting and forecasting activities. Your work directly enables the organisation to make informed decisions, build financial reserves for major improvements, and maintain the trust of their student members, university partners and regulatory bodies including the Charity Commission.

Responsibilities

• Initially assist with, then prepare monthly and period-end management accounts using Twinfield/Ezora accounting software

• Analyse financial data including bar sales, cost of sales and operational performance metrics

• Reconcile accounts across multiple ledgers and cost centres to ensure accuracy

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes to guide organisational financial planning

• Set up and maintain closing procedures to ensure timely financial reporting

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver reports and accounts within agreed deadlines

• Assist with external and internal audit processes, providing supporting documentation

• Ensure all financial processes comply with GDPR and charity regulatory requirements

Requirements

Essential:

• Fully or part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent experience

• Proven experience in management accounting roles

• Proficiency in accounting software systems

• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting

• Strong analytical ability to interpret financial data and identify trends

• Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Desirable:

• Experience working in charity or not-for-profit finance

This role is an essential leadership role in Overcoming MS, working as a key member of a small Senior Leadership Team, in partnership with the Chief Executive and Director of Services. The Director of Fundraising & Communications is responsible for driving income generation, strengthening the charity’s profile, and embedding marketing and digital excellence across all areas of work.

Job summary:

You will set both strategic direction and deliver hands-on activity, overseeing all fundraising streams, communications, digital platforms, and supporter engagement. You will develop integrated strategies that maximise limited resources, grow sustainable income, amplify our impact and ensure the charity communicates with clarity, consistency, and purpose.

You will lead a small team of fundraisers, marketeers and communicators to deliver to our current organisational plans, whilst developing longer term plans to extend our reach and our income base. You will work proactively and independently to build relationships, develop innovative campaigns and provide the support that enables our service delivery to function.

You will be expected to provide a high standard and quality of impact across a range of activities and projects, being fully aware of and upholding the charity’s values, and taking responsibility for modelling these to others across the organisation and to the wider community.

Key responsibilities:

1. Strategic & organisational leadership

• Lead the development and delivery of an integrated fundraising, communications, and digital strategy aligned with the charity’s mission and growth ambitions.

• Lead Overcoming MS’s communication strategy to significantly grow visibility, engagement and trust, with everyone affected by MS, the Overcoming MS community, donors and fundraisers, and other key stakeholders.

• Ensure digital and communication tools, channels, systems and platforms underpin and are able to maximise opportunities for all fundraising, communications, and operational activity.
• Use communication and marketing techniques to amplify the impact of our services and increase our reach, ensuring maximum take up.
• Oversee the charity’s website, ensuring strong user experience, accessibility, SEO performance, and conversion optimisation.

• Oversee production of high-quality, tailored content for digital, print, and social channels.

• Oversee digital supporter acquisition and retention: paid ads, email marketing, marketing automation, and analytics.

5. Campaigns & public engagement

• Lead fundraising, awareness and media campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
• Use data, insights, and analytics to optimise campaign performance and supporter engagement.

• Provide regular performance reports to the CEO and Board, including financial updates, campaign metrics, and risk management.

Local Voice is an independent charity delivering Healthwatch services in Waltham Forest and Newham. Healthwatch gives local people a strong voice in shaping health and social care. We gather community insights, identify what is and isn’t working, support improvement, and represent people’s experiences to decision-makers.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and organised Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of Healthwatch Waltham Forest and Healthwatch Newham. You will manage operational activity, support staff and volunteers, maintain strong governance processes, and ensure that insight gathered from local people leads to meaningful improvements.

You will work closely with the Chief Executive and Advisory Groups in each borough and help shape annual work programmes based on evidence, engagement, and co-production.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Audit Data Analyst to join our Research and Quality Improvement Directorate, which promotes evidence-based practice and improves health outcomes for children. This is an exciting opportunity to work on national audit programmes that shape paediatric care across the UK.

Reporting to the Project Manager (Audits), you will manage complex healthcare datasets, lead on data analysis using R/R Studio, and produce high-quality outputs for clinicians, commissioners, and policy makers. You’ll play a key role in delivering robust, reproducible analytical pipelines and ensuring data integrity and security throughout the audit lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing secure handling and analysis of complex audit datasets, ensuring compliance with data governance and protection requirements.
• Developing reproducible analytical pipelines to underpin audit outputs and support cross-audit working.
• Analysing large datasets using R/R Studio, producing results at unit, ICB, regional and national levels, and identifying trends and outliers.
