We are looking for an experienced people manager who has a passion for supporting individuals, families and communities through mental health crises. A new service in the area, Wigan Crisis Space provides a safe space for those experiencing mental and emotional distress, and suicidal ideation. Forming part of the Greater Manchester VCSE crisis pathway, we are an out-of-hours, non-clinical alternative to A&E for adults to access timely compassionate support from trained recovery workers – the service operates from 3pm to 10pm, 7 days a week.
Salary - £40,300 FTE per annum
Hours – 37 hours per week (full time) including out of hours and weekend management cover, and support on a rota basis.

Location - Wigan Crisis Space, Crompton Street, Wigan, WN1 1YP. Office based and wheelchair accessible.
As the Service Manager, you will have a strong knowledge of the mental health landscape and a strong track record of effective management. You will have responsibility for two Team Leaders as well as overall leadership of the staff team (totalling 8). You will work closely with other service providers, as well as our Operational Manager, to offer first-class support for Wigan residents.
Main responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and management to the staff team to ensure the delivery of a safe, effective and appropriate service to adults living within the Borough of Wigan.
• Ensure that the service is integrated, comprehensive and makes a difference to people using it, with clear focus on improving mental and emotional health and wellbeing as well as social outcomes - meaning that people will be healthier, safer, more resilient, and better able to enjoy life’s opportunities.
• Facilitate opportunities for staff, volunteers and people who use the service to contribute to the ongoing development of the Crisis Space by sharing learning, listening and sharing and responding to feedback.
• Create and implement a continuous development plan for the service to ensure it delivers quality support for Wigan residents.
• The Crisis Space is an out of hours service that operates from 3pm – 10pm, 7 days per week. This post will require a minimum of two shifts per month during the week from 2pm to 10pm (on site) and two shifts per month during the weekend from 2pm to 10pm (on site).

We are looking for 2 people to join the team in Bristol as Coordinators, joining either of the below teams:
North Star Service, part time 30 hours per week (to include Tuesday, hours can be worked across 4-5 days)
North Star Service works with people who are experiencing homelessness, and have difficulties with their relationship with substances and mental health. The service main base is at the Compass Centre, however also operates across Bristol and within homeless hostels. North Star runs a variety of interventions including initial engagement, drop-ins groups to build relationship skills and safety, psychological skills groups and one to one therapy either as a weekly longer term intervention, or a standalone session format in drop-in clinics embedded within hostels.
Assertive Contact & Engagement (ACE) Service, part time 22.5 hours per week (to include a Tuesday, Hours can be worked across 3-5 days):
St Mungo’s Assertive Contact & Engagement (ACE) Service works with people with complex mental health needs who are not actively engaged with other services and face multiple barriers to accessing mainstream support. The service operates across Bristol, running a variety of services including community one to one work, therapeutic groups and drop-ins, and training for other services.
In the role of Coordinator you will:
As part of the wider management team, the Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring we provide a quality service, particularly to neglected groups and individuals, and who face complex barriers to accessing services. Key responsibilities in this role will be:

Main Purpose and Scope of the Job:
- To promote the training package, to build and maintain effective relationships with general practice teams, and to recruit local general practices to participate in the training package.
- To provide in-house training for general practice teams on understanding, recognising and responding to domestic abuse.
- To provide ongoing specialist advice and support around domestic abuse to practice teams.
- To encourage general practice health professionals to ask patients about their experience of abuse and respond, record, safety check and refer.
- To provide specialist, individual and needs-led advocacy and support to patients who are or have experienced domestic abuse who are referred from participating practices, and to provide onward referrals where appropriate.
- To collect and collate performance and monitoring data for reporting purposes and also with a view to further embedding and developing the programme locally.
- To work in partnership with Southampton IDVA service to deliver Pippa (Prevention, Intervention and Public Protection Alliance) providing initial advice, information and guidance to victims, professionals, and family members. To participate in the delivery of the on-call out of hours on a rota basis
- Work with those experiencing domestic abuse to increase their personal safety, and that of any children, and inform them of their rights and options in terms of housing, legal and welfare rights

About the role
We are seeking a friendly, confident person who can work under their own initiative and is looking to establish or further their career in administration. You would be working in a suitable home working environment, regularly connecting online with the administration team to ensure our volunteers and school partners receive a positive and helpful response to their enquiries and maintain efficiency and data integrity through our onboarding processes.
You will work closely with our support team and trainers to ensure that our volunteer and school customer journeys run efficiently and help raise awareness in local communities.
Day to day you will process safeguarding checks and support new volunteers to progress smoothly through our training journey, often interacting via online calls. You will manage incoming enquiries via phone and email and support the wider remotely based team with administrative tasks. Use of Salesforce is integral to the role, with accurate records enabling us to provide a high level of customer service.
