Use your fundraising talent to make a lasting difference to thousands of local people and help shape the future of a pioneering mental health charity.
Part-time Community based Fundraising Manager 2 days pw
Salary £35k pro rata
About us
For nearly 30 years Sutton Mental Health Foundation has been a refuge for people in Sutton, Surrey, whose mental health has had an impact on their lives. Over this time, the Foundation has helped thousands of people navigate their way through their mental health challenges and in 2025 we saw an 18% increase in demand for our services.
From our unique and pioneering centre in the London Borough of Sutton, we provide a wide array of services aimed at promoting mental wellbeing, resilience and recovery from mental distress and ultimately, keeping people safe. Sutton Mental Health Foundation provides a place where people can feel safe and supported in tackling their mental health challenges and we provide these services 365 days a year.
Our crucial work
The Foundation is a hidden gem of innovation, with a pioneering ‘Intentional Peer Support’ approach at its heart, which trains former and current service users to provide support to individuals facing similar mental health challenges to those they have faced themselves. The first contact from local people experiencing severe anxiety or distress often comes through telephone calls or through our Crisis Café, which operates every evening in person from 6.30pm to 11.00 pm, 365 days a year, and on the phone or on- line at other times. This is where people can receive support and learn about the range of support options the Foundation provides.
Our counselling service can help local people tackle a wide range of issues affecting their mental health.
Our Belmont Connect service is a place to socialise, meet new people and receive support in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You can also join one of our classes or drop-in sessions. These may be art-based, music-themed, or centred around activities such as gardening. We aim to offer a range of weekly activities that cater to different interests and encourage social connection and wellbeing. In the winter our In Your Corner Sunday service offers lunches from midday onwards, and we have year round specialist support sessions such as the Sutton Hearing Voices Group, which help individuals explore different ways to deal with hearing voices.
We have been very successful in securing funding for our work from the local authority and from our local NHS Trust, but we have now reached a point where we want to raise new funds to innovate and expand our services, hence creating this new role of Community Fundraising Manager.

Tinnitus UK is looking for an experienced, ambitious and highly organised Operations Manager to join our senior team and play a key role in the leadership and future development of the charity.
You will work closely with our CEO, Board of Trustees and colleagues across the organisation to help turn our ambitions into action and ensure Tinnitus UK has the strong foundations, systems and ways of working it needs to succeed and to best support people living with tinnitus, and those who support them.
You will be an important link between the staff team and Board, bringing insight, challenge and practical solutions to organisational decision-making. You will lead and develop a small team, build strong relationships with external partners and suppliers, and take ownership of a broad portfolio spanning finance, governance, people, systems, risk, compliance and organisational improvement.
We are looking for someone who enjoys making organisations work better: someone who can see the bigger picture while also making sure the detail is right. You will be comfortable moving between strategic conversations with the CEO and Trustees and the practical work required to make things happen.
You do not need to be an expert in tinnitus. What matters is that you share our values, are motivated by our purpose and want to use your operational leadership to help Tinnitus UK achieve more for people affected by tinnitus.
About the role
As Operations Manager, you will provide leadership across Tinnitus UK’s internal operations, ensuring we have robust systems, financial oversight, governance, people processes and infrastructure in place to deliver our strategy.
Working closely with the CEO, you will translate organisational priorities into effective plans and ways of working. You will help create clarity across the organisation, identify risks and opportunities, make sure decisions are followed through and drive continuous improvement.
You will also play an important role in ensuring that Tinnitus UK is ready for the future: improving organisational resilience, strengthening our infrastructure and helping us develop the capacity to grow our reach and impact.
About you
We are looking for an experienced operations professional who enjoys making organisations work better and wants to take significant responsibility within a national charity.
You will be proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable bringing structure to complexity. You can see the bigger picture while making sure the detail is right, manage competing priorities and take ownership of work through to delivery.
You will be confident working with colleagues at all levels, from supporting and developing your team to discussing finance, governance and organisational priorities with the CEO and Trustees. You will build trusted relationships with external partners and suppliers and be comfortable offering constructive challenge when needed.
You will bring experience across a number of areas including organisational operations, financial management, project and change management, governance and risk, people management, suppliers and contracts, and organisational systems or CRM platforms.
Experience within the charity sector, membership organisations, digital transformation, events or professional education would be valuable, as would experience working closely with a CEO, senior leadership team or Board.
Most importantly, you will be collaborative, pragmatic and dependable, with the confidence to take ownership, maintain high standards and help create an organisation in which people can do their best work.
What we can offer
This is an opportunity to take on a genuinely influential role within Tinnitus UK at an important point in our development.
You will have the scope to shape how the charity operates, introduce improvements and work closely with our CEO and Board to strengthen the organisation for the future.
The role offers considerable variety. One day you might be discussing organisational risk and financial performance with Trustees; the next you could be improving a system, negotiating with a supplier, supporting a member of your team or developing the operational plan for a major national event.
You will join an organisation committed to improving the lives of people affected by tinnitus and a team that wants to continually improve the way we work and the impact we achieve.
Tinnitus UK is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
If you are an experienced operations professional looking for a senior role where you can influence, improve and help lead an organisation with a clear social purpose, we would love to hear from you.
How to apply
Please apply with your CV and a cover letter outlining how you meet the person specification, including the experience and skills you would bring to Tinnitus UK.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 14 September 2026.
Interviews will take place in person on Wednesday 23 September 2026 at our Sheffield office.
Striving for a world without tinnitus.

Dean Farm Trust is seeking an experienced and compassionate Sanctuary Operations Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and operational management of our 32-acre animal sanctuary near Chepstow.
Home to 200 rescued animals, including pigs, cows, sheep, goats, equines and birds, Dean Farm Trust provides a home for life to animals in need. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with animal welfare at its heart.
The Sanctuary Operations Manager will lead our on-site team, working through our Team Leaders to ensure the Sanctuary operates safely, effectively and to the highest standards of animal welfare. The role will oversee staffing and rotas, volunteer development, recruitment and training, budgets and resources, facilities and maintenance, land and pasture management, health and safety, compliance, contractors, projects and the operational delivery of Sanctuary events and activities.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership and people-management experience who is confident managing a busy operational environment and developing both staff and volunteers. You will need to be organised, practical and able to balance the immediate demands of running a sanctuary with longer-term planning and improvement.
This is an important appointment for Dean Farm Trust as we strengthen our operational structure and build a sustainable future for the Sanctuary. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director and Trustees while taking real ownership of Sanctuary operations and providing strong, consistent on-site leadership.
A genuine commitment to animal welfare and to the values of Dean Farm Trust is essential.
Please read our full Candidate Pack before applying. It includes the complete Job Description, information about Dean Farm Trust and further background on why we are recruiting for this role now.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
You’ll be at the helm of a busy, welcoming centre that brings residential stays, day visits, camping and outdoor activities to guiding groups, schools, youth groups, corporate teams, families and friends. That variety is part of what makes the role so rewarding. No two days look the same, and that’s exactly the point.
This is a senior role with real scope and real responsibility. You’ll lead a team, set the tone for high standards across the site, manage the practical realities of running a working centre, and help shape its future direction in line with Girlguiding Anglia’s values and ambitions. You’ll have the chance to think strategically about where the centre goes next while staying hands on with the day to day running that keeps a place like Hautbois thriving.
We’re after someone positive, proactive and organised, who leads with warmth as much as with structure. You’ll need to be comfortable holding multiple priorities at once, calm under pressure, and genuinely motivated by creating great experiences for the people who come through the centre’s doors. If you enjoy variety, thrive on responsibility and want your work to have a visible, lasting impact, this role offers all of that in abundance.
The role is based at Hautbois, right in the Norfolk countryside. Flexible working may be possible where it suits the business, though some evenings and weekends will be part of the job given the nature of a residential site. The centre isn’t easily reached by public transport, so a car and full driving licence are essential for commuting and the occasional meeting further afield.
In return, you’ll get free parking, office drinks and snacks, a holiday allowance that grows with your length of service, and modern IT and working facilities to support you in the role.
This role might also suit candidates with backgrounds as an activities manager, camp manager, adventure manager, outdoor learning manager or residential centre manager.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

Fundraising Manager
£45,000 FTE | £27,000 actual salary
22.5 hours per week | Part-time | Hybrid – Ilford, Essex
Ready to take the lead and make your mark?
The Dream Factory creates life-changing dreams for children and young adults aged 3–25 who are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, severe disabilities and serious illnesses.
Every dream we grant creates something incredibly precious: an experience to look forward to, a chance for families to spend special time together and memories that can last a lifetime.
We are now looking for an experienced and relationship-focused Fundraising Manager to help us grow our income, strengthen our supporter relationships and enable us to grant even more dreams.
This is more than an opportunity to manage an existing fundraising programme. You'll have the chance to help shape the future of fundraising at The Dream Factory.
Working just 22.5 hours across three days a week, this could be an ideal opportunity for an experienced fundraiser looking for greater flexibility alongside the chance to take real ownership of a fundraising function.
Could this be your next step?
You may already be a Fundraising Manager, or you could be an experienced Senior Fundraiser, Corporate Fundraiser, Community Fundraiser or Partnerships Fundraiser who's ready to take the next step and lead a fundraising function.
You don't need to be an expert in every area of fundraising.
We're looking for someone who knows how to build strong relationships, spot opportunities, turn ideas into income and inspire others to support a cause.
You'll be someone who enjoys thinking strategically but is equally happy rolling up your sleeves and making things happen.
What you'll be doing
Working closely with our small and committed team and Board of Trustees, you will take the lead on developing our fundraising and building sustainable income for the charity.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- shape and deliver our fundraising plans and priorities
- develop new corporate partnerships and build relationships with local and national businesses
- grow our community fundraising and individual giving
- develop fundraising campaigns, events and new income opportunities
- nurture existing supporters and develop long-term relationships
- identify opportunities to increase and diversify income
- manage and support colleagues involved in fundraising activity
- develop the systems and processes needed to support effective fundraising
- monitor fundraising performance and provide updates to the Board
- bring your own ideas, experience and creativity to the role.
This is a hands-on position. We are looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to both lead fundraising and get involved in delivering it.
You won't be doing it alone
We know that asking one person to “lead all fundraising” can sound like a big ask – particularly in a part-time role.
That's why it's important to us that candidates understand that you will be joining an established charity with a committed staff team, supportive Board, existing supporters and fundraising relationships.
You'll also have external support for our trusts and foundations fundraising, allowing you to focus your time on developing other areas of income and building relationships that can help The Dream Factory grow.
You'll have the freedom to bring new ideas, test different approaches and help us decide where our greatest fundraising opportunities lie.
Who we're looking for
We're much more interested in what you can do than where you've worked.
You'll probably have experience of generating income through one or more areas of fundraising, rather than necessarily having worked across every income stream.
We'd particularly love to hear from you if you:
- have experience of successfully generating fundraising income
- are confident building relationships with supporters, businesses and partners
- can identify and develop new fundraising opportunities
- are comfortable taking ownership and working independently
- can balance planning with hands-on delivery
- communicate confidently and can inspire people to support a cause
- are organised and able to manage competing priorities
- enjoy working as part of a small team where everyone contributes
- share our determination to create extraordinary experiences for children, young adults and their families.
Experience of corporate, community or individual giving would be particularly valuable, but we don't expect you to arrive with experience of everything.
If you have strong fundraising experience, great relationship-building skills and the ambition to step up and lead, we'd encourage you to apply.
Why join The Dream Factory?
Because in a small charity, you can see the difference you make.
You'll have genuine ownership of fundraising and the opportunity to shape how it develops.
You'll work directly with a passionate team and Board, build relationships with supporters and partners and see the direct connection between the income you help generate and the dreams we're able to make come true.
This role offers:
- £45,000 FTE salary (c£27,000 actual)
- 22.5 hours per week across three days
- hybrid working
- genuine autonomy and the opportunity to shape fundraising strategy
- the chance to develop your experience as a fundraising leader
- an opportunity to make a visible and lasting difference within a small charity.
For someone who has been waiting for the opportunity to take the lead, introduce their own ideas and build something, this could be that opportunity.
About The Dream Factory
The Dream Factory grants dreams to children and young adults aged 3–25 with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, severe disabilities and serious illnesses.
Our dreams are about much more than one special day. They give children and young people something positive to focus on, create opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach and give families precious experiences and memories together.
We are a small charity with big ambitions and our ability to reach more families depends on growing sustainable fundraising income.
That's where you come in.
Interested?
If you're an experienced fundraiser looking for a flexible role where you can have genuine influence or you're ready to take the next step in your fundraising career – we'd love to hear from you.
Please don't be put off if you don't meet every single point in the job description. If you believe you have the fundraising experience, relationship-building skills and enthusiasm to make a difference at The Dream Factory, we'd encourage you to apply.
