This flagship programme, delivered in partnership with TDS, GMCA and the Nationwide Foundation, uses action research and behavioural‑insight‑informed interventions to understand and reduce unintentional non‑compliance among private landlords, with the aim of improving renting standards and supporting people in housing need.

We have a new 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity to join our Greater Manchester Good Landlord Charter/Landlord Support Hub team as a Research and Evaluation Manager.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Lead the project’s research and evaluation activities, including insight gathering, participatory research, and continuous testing of behavioural or supportive interventions.
• Design and evaluate behavioural interventions, assessing impact, outcomes and what works to inform future policy and operational practice.
• Collaborate closely with the Behavioural Insight Specialist and Landlord Support Manager, ensuring research is rigorous, ethical, and generates meaningful learning.
• Engage landlords, tenants, letting agents, and local authorities to gather data, understand barriers to compliance, and capture lived experience.
• Produce high‑quality reporting, including findings, recommendations, and insights to support both internal decision‑making and external stakeholders such as GMCA and the Nationwide Foundation.
• Represent the Research & Evaluation function at meetings, workshops and advisory groups, contributing to the wider aims of improving standards across the private rented sector.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:

• Strong experience in research, evaluation or insight‑gathering, ideally within housing, social policy, behavioural insights or community‑focused projects.
• Ability to design and apply research methods, including interviews, behavioural diagnosis, qualitative and/or quantitative analysis.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, able to turn complex insights into clear recommendations.
• Confidence managing relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Based in/near Greater Manchester, and able to travel across the region as needed.

About the role 

In this Senior Marketing Officer role with the Activation Team, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of the Press Inserts and Door Drop campaigns. You will be supporting the Senior Marketing Manager and taking direct responsibility in the exploration and delivery of new campaigns, projects and channels. The role will also include support in the delivery of the DRTV and Brand programmes as well as supporting with ad hoc team requirements.

In this role, you will: 

1. Work closely with multiple internal and external teams, creative and media agencies and printers. Manage key agency relationships, including liaising with account managers to deliver campaigns and projects. 
2. Be responsible for developing the strategy, analysis and reporting of ongoing Press Insert and Door Drop campaigns. 
3. Work with the Insight Team and creative agencies to manage and deliver audience focussed communications. 
4. Support the Senior Marketing Manager (Supporter Activation) to prepare annual plans and budgets and manage monthly cost monitoring and invoice processing. 
5. Collaborate with relevant colleagues in other departments to identify and implement new cross-working opportunities

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Proven experience in a successful direct marketing, fundraising, supporter activation and/or supporter engagement and/or customer marketing role
• Experience working in a project managing role, in particular leading or supporting on the delivery of complex campaigns with multiple stakeholders 
• Ability to work flexibly and independently, to manage varying competing priorities and meet strict deadlines with often changing priorities

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Experience of project managing direct marketing campaigns from start to finish across a range of channels, including print, telemarketing and digital. 
• Experience of presenting to and project managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience of working in the voluntary/fundraising sector
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and being able to work to short deadlines

Your role 

This role sits in the Philanthropy & Partnerships Directorate, a high performing team that is responsible for all areas of high value fundraising including major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners and special events/high value committees. We play a vital role in delivering a stewardship and communications programme to support the wider Directorate with the knowledge, tools and expertise to recognise, thank and update our highest value supporters.

We will need you to: 

• Maintain and manage data lists and mailing processes for key communications, including biannual newsletters, season’s greetings cards and the Charity’s Impact Report.
• Support fundraisers to coordinate and deliver correspondence to donors and partners, including sharing news from the hospital or preparing routine updates, ensuring all communications are accurate, timely, and properly recorded.

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England, Wales and Northern Ireland with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands we are looking for a specialist Advocate for Scotland. Although home based, some travel will be required - frequency will be commensurate to the role. We welcome applications from candidates with experience of domestic abuse. Scotland is expected to introduce Domestic Homicide and Suicide Reviews commencing in April 2026. We are looking for a candidate with a good understanding of the Scottish legislative system and good understanding around domestic abuse to join our growing charity

Our Specialist Advocates support families impacted by fatal domestic abuse through provision of lay advocacy, for and on behalf of, families with a range of statutory service providers (e.g. those conducting reviews and inquiries, social services, police, housing) and work to build good relations between all parties. To ensure that families get the support they need, you will use AAFDA’s Home Office endorsed seven-step approach to working with individuals and families, to ensure that they receive the best possible support and advocacy to restore dignity and relief for families and to help them cope and recover. Through trauma-informed approaches, you will:

· Listen to families and advocate for them in a complex system that too often treats them as passive participants and overlooks the value of their insight.

· Provide information, support, guidance, advice and advocacy on Domestic Homicide & Suicide Reviews (DHSR’s) and other reviews where relevant and appropriate.

· Manage families’ expectations of the legal and procedural processes facing them by supporting families in meetings with agencies such as health, police and local authorities.

· Give families practical help on a wide range of issues - including help with letter writing or advocating with employers and local authorities on the families’ behalf.

· Support AAFDA in our bringing families together in AAFDA’s peer support events, such as the Hear Our Voice weekend and the on-line peer support Zoom sessions, where families can speak with others to share their experiences and stories. This will involve occasional evening work.

Talking Money is looking for someone with a deep understanding of charity finance who can provide robust financial management for the charity. You will manage all Talking Money finances, from banking, invoicing, and payments to end-of-year reporting and funding management. About the opportunity

As Treasury Manager within our Finance & Assurance directorate, you'll own our Treasury and Accounts Receivable functions, playing a vital role in our financial sustainability. You'll monitor our cash position, forecast cash flow across diverse income streams from online fundraising platforms to direct donations and community collections, and manage banking relationships to ensure we optimise our working capital and invest our reserves wisely.

This isn't a back-office role. You'll have:

• Experience managing banking relationships, optimising cash deployment, and working with multiple bank accounts and treasury systems.
• Track record in managing end-to-end accounts receivable processes, including invoice generation, reconciliation, and collections.
• Ability to develop and motivate teams using a high challenge, high support approach, particularly those undertaking professional development.
• Good communication and influencing skills, with proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across departments.
