Job description

JOB TITLE: Front of House Receptionist/Administrator

REPORTING TO: House Manager

HOURS: 36.25 hours on a shift basis, including weekends

As a key member of the Waverley Abbey Front of House team, you will provide a warm and friendly welcome to guests, students and visitors at reception, engage with and manage house administration tasks, and support other areas of the house as and

when required.

Key tasks

> Give a 5* welcome to visitors, guests, students and contractors.

> Be well acquainted with all activities and events due to take place in the house each day and be able to act as a central point of communication for our guest experience.

> Liaise with College staff and the House Manager to ensure students ,tutors and other guests stays with us are run smoothly and efficiently from time of booking through to their leaving us.

> Booking of bedroom reservations via telephone and email using CRM

> Ensure relevant staff in the Waverley Abbey team are well briefed with any updates to activities on the day.

> Administrative tasks day to day with speed, accuracy and efficiency.

> Act as Duty Manager for the House at weekends when required – on a rota basis.

> Engage face-to-face, by email and telephone with enquirers to inform them about and promote all that Waverley Abbey offers, signposting them to relevant areas of the organisation as appropriate.

> Ensure the foyer is clean, tidy and well presented at all times.

> Support other Front of House /café/restaurant/Event duties if required.

Main performance assessment criteria-Essential

> Friendly welcome and excellent customer service to all guests.

> Effective communication and liaison with staff at all levels.

> Adaptability and flexibility with respect to the daily needs of the business.

> Excellent IT and administrative skills.

> Highly organised, reliable and able to prioritise.

> Ability to perform under pressure with a “can do” attitude.
