We are looking for a part-time Operations Manager to support our Executive Director and wider team by taking an operational lead, keeping a birds eye view over all of our activities and our infrastructure - and ensuring the principles and processes we’ve collectively agreed to are working optimally.
You will provide essential operational, administrative, financial and IT support. Lead in the day to day operations of the organisation, including office tasks, diary management and systemic thinking for our internal communications.
TERMS AND BENEFITS

Fixed term contract for 12 months (with the possibility of extension depending on future grants), £38,000 pro rata (equivalent to £22,800 per year), with a September or October 2026 start.

- Office & Team Support: managing the MDP office, keeping it stocked, ensuring the compliance of the office environment and support the Executive Director with diary and meetings.

Finance Support: pay small invoices and process staff expense forms, submitting relevant invoices and manage MDP's expense card system.

At least three years of experience in an administrative, operations, or office management role, ideally within a small NGO or human rights organisation.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.

Excellent organisation skills, with extensive experience in project and program management, a proven ability to plan, organise, and lead the implementation of plans and processes.

Excellent digital skills including on platforms such as Excel, Airtable, Google Workspace, or general software.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to help deliver our mission and support the growth and consolidation of the charity. As a member of our Senior Management Team, you will play a key role in implementing our new strategy as well as managing risk.

We are now looking for an ambitious and relationship-focused Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop and grow our relationships with businesses and organisations across Yorkshire.

The funds we raise also support vital, pioneering research and clinical trials led by the exceptional medical experts at Weston Park Cancer Centre. What you do
Main purpose of post
This is an important role in the fundraising team which is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting opportunities to generate income to achieve Weston Park Cancer Charity’s strategy. This role will support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to secure income generation through corporate organisations. It carries an income target aligned to the grade of the post holder, within an overall corporate income target of over £400,000 per annum.
You will be expected to understand Weston Park Cancer Charity’s unique offer, the needs and priorities of our corporate partners and be capable of taking our propositions and clearly shaping them to create mutual value for the communities we support and our partners.
Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for an income target of which aligns with the grade of the post, contributing to an overall corporate income target of over £4000k pa.
· Delivers income growth through gifts from corporates, workplace fundraising and public facing corporate donations.
· Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager in developing and implementing a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy which is data driven and demonstrates strong ROI.
· Develop and deliver concepts and ideas, from early discussion through to detailed proposals, working with colleagues across the charity.
· Contribute to maximising sponsorship of our key programmes such as Big Purple Bus and Grant-Giving for cancer research and other initiatives.

AAFDA is currently funded by statutory bodies, trusts and foundations, corporates, events and individuals. Under your management, you will identify, cultivate and grow these existing and new fundraising streams.As AAFDA’s Fundraising and Grants Manager, you will be responsible for oversight and growth of voluntary and statutory funding income, including from individuals (regular and one-off gifts, major donors and legacy giving), community groups, trusts and foundations, corporates, the statutory sector (including Police and Crime Commissioners) and other benefactors. With keen funder and customer awareness, you will regularly monitor and review both the plan and the strategy, in addition to working closely with our Finance Manager to manage diverse income streams and achieve income targets to fund AAFDA’s unique support and advocacy work with families bereaved by fatal domestic abuse. Holding responsibility for maintaining and developing the website and building social media programmes, you will undertake an ambassadorial approach in all activity to assist our CEO and Director of Services to lead and manage the AAFDA brand and corporate identity, with a focus on generating earned income, by extending awareness of what AAFDA does and how successful we are.
