Power2 is a fast growing and energetic children and young people's charity that has supported 27,000 young people since 2001. We are based in the North West of England and London and deliver early-intervention asset-based programmes to children and young people who have mental wellbeing challenges and are disengaged from school and more widely. We are well-known for our accredited Teens and Toddlers programme and are supporting young people via Power2 Rediscover, an intensive 1:1 crisis response programme.
With our support, children and young people who are experiencing vulnerabilities and disadvantages improve their wellbeing, re-engage with school and learning, build networks and access opportunities.

We are looking for new Programme Leads to deliver our programmes so that all children and young people, regardless of their needs, feel they belong and can prosper.
Our new Programme Leads will be trained to deliver all our programmes and will primarily work in schools to support young people, their families, and school staff to ensure that at-risk pupils make the most of their education and improve their life chances. Work will include 1:1 support based in a school or in the community and delivery of Power2’s group programmes. The successful candidates could be based in one school or travel between multiple schools.
The relationships you cultivate with the young people you work with are at the heart of our success – so recruiting the right people is paramount. Our facilitators work with significant autonomy and authority and must embrace responsibility and be accountable for their work. They work collaboratively alongside young people, operating as a mentor as they empower young people to develop self-esteem, become resilient and engage with school and their own future. They give each young person the time, the confidence and skills to engage with their education and their future life plans.

About the Service
The ConnectU St Albans programme is a partnership-led initiative designed to address key social, economic, and health needs primarily those in Park Street and London Colney, as well as Chiswell Green, Sopwell and Cottonmill. Provide primary and secondary contact details to ensure continuity and responsiveness. Through a coordinated and targeted approach across Health and Wellbeing, Employment, and Community Engagement, the programme will expand vital services into underserved areas, while strengthening existing support to vulnerable groups.
The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Community Outreach Worker ConnectU St Albans role is to:
- Expand employment, health and wellbeing, and community engagement services into priority areas: Sopwell & Cottonmill, Park Street & Chiswell Green, and London Colney.
- Strengthen existing service provision for financial advice, food security, and homelessness support.
- Build strong local partnerships, volunteer networks, and stakeholder relationships.
- Deliver measurable outcomes for residents, with a focus on those experiencing deprivation and marginalisation.
- To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with coexisting drug and alcohol difficulties, mental ill-health, these will be clients who are presenting to the Police, Anti-Social Behaviour, Tenancy Enforcement, Housing and Environmental Health Services within Hertfordshire.
- To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
- To raise greater awareness of complex needs and the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) amongst local service providers. Supporting them to gain confidence in working positively and consistently with people who have multiple needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage and support clients to participate in group activities, workshops, and community-based mental health programs.
- Provide employment-related support as part of mental health and wellbeing recovery services, including goal setting, job readiness, and workplace adjustment support.
- Assist clients in developing CVs that reflect their strengths, skills, and recovery goals, supporting confidence and readiness for employment.
- Engage individuals with early-stage mental health needs or employment barriers through accessible, community-based support delivered in partnership with local organisations near client’s homes.
- Encourage and support clients to access volunteering opportunities that build skills, confidence, and community connection.
- Work from the local food bank every Friday from 10:00am–12:00pm as a point of contact for individuals to access support and information, including referrals and signposting to appropriate services.
- Hold a caseload proportionate to working hours, delivering support through home visits and community-based interventions.
- Provide practical support by transporting clients to external appointments to reduce barriers to access and promote wellbeing.

About the role
As Service & Support Analyst, you will be a key member of the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) function, providing first and second-line support to colleagues across Save the Children UK. You will ensure that technology services are reliable, accessible and easy to use, helping staff to do their jobs effectively.
You will troubleshoot incidents, fulfil service requests, work closely with suppliers and technical teams, and play an important role in improving service quality, user experience and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to colleagues, managing incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs and ITIL processes.
- Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and software.
- Work with third-line teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and reduce repeat incidents through effective problem management.
- Take ownership of support tasks, contributing to continuous improvement of processes, documentation and knowledge bases.
- Deliver clear, customer-focused communication and hands-on IT support, including supporting senior leaders to ensure a seamless IT experience.
- Maintain accurate IT asset and software licence records and support the setup and delivery of IT services for internal events and programmes.
About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Proven experience working in a 1st and/or 2nd line IT support role within an ITIL-based service environment.

This role is part of the Connexional Team Learning Network, supporting, encouraging, and equipping the Church to live out ‘Our Calling’ through worship, mission, evangelism and discipleship. The Learning Network primarily works with lay and ordained leaders, helping them equip others.
This post contributes to Connexional-wide learning and development initiatives, and is specifically aligned with the Wales Synod Cymru District as the Welsh speaking Learning and Development Officer (LDO) and the new West Midlands District following the merger of the current Birmingham District and the Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury District on 1st September 2025. Wales Synod Cymru is a bilingual District of 16 circuits, including the Welsh language Cymru Circuit which covers the whole of Wales, and the West Midlands District has 20 circuits across Birmingham, Wolverhampton and the Black Country, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. Both districts are diverse in terms of population groupings and serve communities in rural, market towns, suburbs and city centre settings.

All counselling delivered through The Matthew Hackney Foundation is provided in line with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (or equivalent professional standards).
The Matthew Hackney Foundation is a small, registered charity (Charity No. 1208669) dedicated to improving access to emotional and mental health support for children and young people who would not otherwise be able to access counselling.
We currently provide funded, school-based counselling across 23 Surrey schools and support approximately 45 children, young people and their caregivers each week. We are proud of the strong, trusting relationships we have built with the schools we work with, all of whom provide appropriate, private spaces for counselling sessions. Session days and times are arranged collaboratively, with flexibility for our counsellors wherever possible.
The Role
This role is particularly well suited to newly qualified counsellors or therapists looking to build confidence, experience and regular school-based hours within a highly supportive charity setting.
We are delighted to invite one or more fully qualified Counsellors to join our small, passionate team on a self-employed basis, initially for the Summer Term 2025.
You will provide a minimum of 3 hours of counselling per week in one school. There is flexibility to take on additional paid hours, up to 6 hours per day and up to 5 days per week, delivered across different schools, depending on availability and funding. Placements typically run for up to 11 weeks, aligned with individual school terms.
You will need access to your own transport, as travel between schools may be required.
Should funding continue, there may be opportunities to extend this work into the next academic year.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
· Deliver high-quality, safe and confidential 1:1 counselling to children and young people
· Undertake assessments and agree appropriate therapeutic interventions
· Manage and maintain a clinical caseload, including regular reviews
· Work using an integrative therapeutic approach
· Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date clinical records

Employment Status
- This role can be offered on either a self-employed or employed basis
- Self-employed counsellors are responsible for their own tax, National Insurance, supervision and professional insurance

- You must be able to commit to a minimum of one half-day per week (term time only) for at least one school term (ideal for newly qualified counsellors building a portfolio of experience)
