About the role
As Legal Counsel, you will provide high-quality, pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of charity, commercial, contract and regulatory matters.
Working within an experienced legal team collaborating on complex and high-impact legal matters, you will support SCUK's legal and compliance obligations, assist with risk management, instruct external counsel when needed, and contribute to a culture of ethics, integrity and safeguarding. You will also support the development of legal tools and training to empower colleagues to operate with confidence and compliance.
In this role, you will:
- Provide pragmatic, risk-based legal advice across contract, commercial, charity law and regulatory compliance matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of contracts, including donation agreements, grant agreements, partnership agreements, service agreements and NDAs.
- Support compliance with legal obligations including data protection, safeguarding, anti-fraud, anti-bribery, sanctions, and charity law.
- Support external counsel management and liaise with SCUK and SCI legal teams.
- Deliver training and guidance to staff and volunteers to embed legal awareness and self-service across the organisation.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the charitable sector, assess their impact on SCUK and ensure that staff are aware of and comply with changes and updates.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you demonstrate the following:
- Qualified lawyer in England and Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction) with post-qualification experience advising independently on a broad range of commercial, contract and/or charity law matters.
- Experience in at least 1 of the following areas: general corporate / commercial / contract, regulatory compliance, charity / not-for-profit.
- An understanding of:
- the UK charity regulatory framework; and
- the UK's bribery and anti-terrorism laws and practice, including the way in which they may impact an international NGO.
- Demonstrated ability to draft, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of contracts, plus experience of advising on compliance issues.
- Ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and to explain complex legal issues clearly and pragmatically to diverse audiences.
- Strong ethical judgment, flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Efficient, highly organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise effectively under pressure.

Ways of Working:

About the role
As our Head of Performance Insight and Planning, you will lead the organisation’s approach to business planning, performance, and insight—bringing clarity, alignment and accountability across St Mungo’s. In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in London. About the role
This role delivers the Pan-London Sexual Violence Alliance (PLSVA) prevention and outreach priorities, strengthening community and professional responses to sexual violence across London.
You will design and deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive prevention work, including campaigns, training and community engagement, with a focus on Black and racialised communities, LGBTQ+ people, men and boys, and people with learning disabilities. As the Community Prevention Worker, you will:
- Design and deliver inclusive community prevention programmes, awareness campaigns and training on sexual violence, consent, bystander intervention and male accountability.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with communities, grassroots organisations and statutory and voluntary sector agencies to improve awareness, responses and referral pathways.
- Work closely with Alliance Navigators, partner agencies and the other Community Prevention Worker to ensure consistent messaging, effective signposting and joined-up survivor pathways.
- Embed survivor voice and co-production through collaboration with the Fearless Collective (Experts by Experience).
- Monitor, evaluate and report on prevention and engagement activity, contributing to Alliance learning, impact reporting and service improvement.
- Model WGN’s feminist, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed practice and operate within safeguarding and good practice standards.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Digital Engagement Officer to join a UK charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by brain tumours. This 12 month placement is ideal for someone early in their career or under employed and looking to build experience in the charity sector.

About the Role
This role has been specifically designed as a development opportunity for someone who may be, returning to work, changing career, or looking to move into the charity sector for the first time.

Abianda is a London-based charity that works with young women and girls affected by criminal exploitation and violence, and the professionals who support them. Abianda is seeking an experienced and collaborative Young Women and Girls Practitioner (1:1) to work with young women and girls aged 13-25 affected by criminal exploitation and violence as part of our flagship service, the Star Project.
As the Young Women and Girls Practitioner (1:1), you will take young women and girls through a tailored programme of activities, supporting skills development and critical thinking. Service Objectives
The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) A&E Liaison Service are to:
- Improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
- Increase timely access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by HMN and other third sector and statutory providers.
- Contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- Remain a source of independent support for all clients.

About the Role:
The Mental Health A&E Link worker will work closely with individuals in a mental health crisis currently in A&E, by using a person-centred approach to ensure that everyone is supported with dignity and respect.
They will encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery; through providing emotional support, signposting and completing onward referrals into mental health support. They will work closely with A&E clinical staff, integrated discharge teams, Bounce Back, and mental health liaison teams, to proactively identify referrals into the crisis alternatives service to facilitate timely discharges from A&E.

The project:
We are in the process of expanding our service beyond our London footprint to Bedfordshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Kent, along with Thames Valley, providing one-to-one advocacy and specialist work including workshops and group activities delivered by Advance in partnership with voluntary organisations.
This role plays a critical part in creating, coordinating and delivering the group offering for women accessing our Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (CRS), as well as providing administration support across the region.
In short you will:
- Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach
- Ensure the client waiting area is kept tidy with up-to-date information/leaflets and supplies of refreshments
- Create structured sessions based on CRS support pathways and/or advance’s EDI strategy
- Deliver, facilitate and coordinate direct group delivery and events at the Women’s Centre and regional venues
- Hold a small caseload of women that are accessing the Women’s Centre and/or in the community in line with service delivery need – to include completing initial assessments where required
- Build relationships with external organisations and partners to support the delivery of structured sessions at the Women’s Centre and to signpost women for wrap around support where appropriate
- Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region
- Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria
- Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events
