The Digital Marketing Manager works side-by-side with colleagues from across the Supporter Experience and Communications directorate, ensuring a joined-up approach to all communications activities, through the integration of strong storytelling, marketing expertise and supporter engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure Mary’s Meals’ mission remains central to all Acquisition Marketing work.​

• Work in ways which embody the team’s culture of empowerment, innovation and collaboration ensuring that Mary’s Meals’ values remain central.​

• Direct line management of officers and volunteers as required. ​

• Manage agencies and freelancers as required.​

• Ensure activities follow fundraising and data regulations, and marketing best practice.​

• Contribute to the creation of fundraising and awareness raising campaigns that build support for our vision including being part of cross-organisation project groups.​

• Develop and execute a results-driven digital marketing strategy focused on income generation, conversion, and lifetime supporter value.​

• Maximise value from the Google Ad Grant, ensuring full utilisation within grant constraints while delivering measurable results.​

• Build performance-driven channel plans across Paid Search, Shopping, Meta, Display, Video, and SEO, aligned to acquisition and revenue targets.​

• Identify new growth channels for Mary’s Meals.​

• Set up, manage, and continuously optimise Paid Search and Shopping campaigns on Google Ads, Google Grant, and Bing Ads with a focus on return on ad spend (ROAS) and cost per acquisition (CPA).

• Set up, manage, and continuously optimise Meta Ads with a focus on return on ad spend (ROAS) and cost per acquisition (CPA).​

• Deliver Display and YouTube campaigns via Google Ads, managing targeting, placements, and creative testing.​

• Monitor and optimise campaign structures, keyword performance, bidding strategies, and audience targeting to maximise revenue.​

• Lead the delivery of technical and content SEO initiatives to improve rankings and organic traffic.​

• Work with the Creative Communications team on agreed content and copywriting requirements for acquisition marketing activities. ​

• Track and report on key income metrics using GA4, GTM, and UTM tagging, with a focus on ROI, revenue per click, and conversion rates.​

• Set and report on KPI’s such as CPA, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate, and impression share.​

• Analyse data to identify trends, optimise campaigns, and deliver insights to inform wider marketing activity.​

• Test and refine messaging, ad formats, and landing pages through A/B and multivariate testing.​

• Contribute to oversight and performance of organic social media channels alongside the Supporter Marketing Manager, Supporter Experience Manager and Creative Communications Manager.​

• Work with designers and content creators to brief, review, and optimise assets (copy, creative, landing pages).​

• Collaborate with the Marketing, and wider Mary’s Meals teams to ensure campaigns support broader objectives.​

• Champion best practices in performance marketing across the organisation.

We are looking for an experienced, proactive and creative fundraiser to support the growth of Sands’ Individual Giving and Legacy programme, including committed gifts, cash appeals, supporter acquisition and retention. Experience of using digital channels to grow income from supporters and creating exceptional donor experience are a key to this role.  

The Individual Giving Manager role is part of the establishment of the newly formed Individual Giving strategy, driving development of both acquisition and retention channels and establishing growth within both, while improving overall supporter experience. We're Level Water, a founder-led charity solving learn-to-swim for disabled children. We're not your typical charity. We own our events and run them like a business. What you'll actually do

This role owns marketing as a growth engine. You'll set strategy, drive execution across multiple channels, and be accountable for how marketing translates into event sign-ups, fundraising growth, profile, and impact. You'll work closely with the Fundraising Director to shape priorities, influence decisions, and build something that scales.

Drive growth marketing that converts

• Own end-to-end marketing for our events portfolio: from launch campaigns to sell-out.

• Build and execute multi-channel campaigns across social, email, paid ads, PR, partnerships, and whatever else works.

• Test everything. Audiences, messages, creative, channels. Find what works, double down, and scale it.

• Use data to spot opportunities: which channels are converting? Where are we leaving growth on the table? What could we do differently?

• Manage our digital advertising and paid social strategy with a ruthless focus on ROI.

• Grow our email database and social audiences with intent, not just for vanity metrics.

• Be trusted to repeatedly turn £1 into £5 or £10. 

• Define and unleash our audiences: help them share their stories in a way that turns experiences into future sales, and makes everything that Level Water does easier.

• Build and manage our captain and ambassador programmes as genuine growth engines - nurturing relationships, setting expectations, and turning influence into measurable impact.

• Proactively convert interest into action. This includes direct outreach (e.g. picking up the phone to captains, engaging top fundraisers, activating ambassadors) to ensure intent turns into ticket sales and fundraising.

Tell stories that build belief

• Find, shape, and share the stories that show our impact: the children, the families, the teachers, the moments that matter.

• Build and curate a library of content (video, photography, case studies, testimonials) that we can use everywhere.

• Work with freelance photographers and videographers to capture our events and programmes at their best.

• Create content that our supporters, partners, and prospects actually want to engage with, not just content that ticks a box.

• Manage our website (fundraising, events, and programmes pages) to ensure it's always up to date, compelling, and optimised for conversion.

• Ensure our impact reporting to donors is rich with content about our work.

• Use storytelling internally to build shared understanding, momentum and belief across the charity as we scale.

Build our profile and partnerships

• Position Level Water as a leader in accessible swimming and outdoor challenge events.

• Build and leverage relationships with press, influencers, local authorities, and stakeholders.

• Identify partnership and sponsorship opportunities that align with our mission and drive growth.

• Amplify examples of inclusion within our pools, making them known and also making inclusive practice visible.

• Promote our swimming pool partners and recognise their contribution to our work.

Manage, measure, and improve

• Own the marketing budget and get maximum value from every pound spent.

• Manage our freelance network: scope projects, review proposals, and ensure quality work on time and on budget.

• Report regularly on what's working and what's not: campaign performance, audience growth, conversion rates, ROI.

• Stay ahead of the curve: what are the best organisations doing? What can we learn and adapt?

We have an exciting opportunity for a home-based IG Manager to join Add International, a passionate international grant making disability charity. The role offers a rare opportunity to use your individual giving skills to really shift the power, and ensure positive narratives and ethical fundraising communications.

The Charity

Add International are a grant making disability charity (c£2m income) that is a very flexible employer, offer home working, four day week, Monday to Thursday 30 hours per week.

The Role

Supported by the Director of External Engagement who has established a foundation of fundraising success, and communicating a power-shifting approach which donors are engaged with, for you to build upon.
You will line manage the Supporter Care Coordinator who is the first point of contact for donors, and manages the database and insights.
You will work closely alongside colleagues from the team based in the UK, Africa and Asia.
The charity are looking to grow the donor acquisition within this audience by trialling different approaches.
You will be responsible for optimising the stewardship of existing donors and working with the Supporter Care Coordinator.
Part of this role will also involve relationship management of some mid- high-value givers, promoting legacy giving and community fundraising, and provide accurate and insightful reports on income and the donor base.
In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to innovate, test and learn and influence the sector in doing things differently with individual giving!

The Candidate

This is a rare opportunity for someone who wants to combine their skills and experience in IG and public fundraising with a decolonial approach to fundraising. Have substantial experience in donor acquisition, donor communications and stewardship through public fundraising in the UK and delivering multi-channel fundraising appeals.
