We are looking for a Senior Corporate Fundraiser to drive maximum impact, add value and increase corporate income.

They need someone strong in new business and who enjoys networking, there is normally an evening event once every six weeks.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in the Hertfordshire office.

The Charity
You would be joining an incredible local social welfare charity and a passionate and welcoming fundraising Team of 8.

The Role
Attend and represent the charity at local and regional networking events, business groups, and corporate forums to proactively build new relationships and generate fundraising opportunities.

Research and network, making connections with business influencers, to secure long-term, high value mutual partnerships.

Research and identify new potential partnerships within the local area, developing a programme of consistent and ongoing engagement (cold calls/mailing/networking) to build relationships and secure support.

Maximise value from corporate support and develop new areas leading to growth in income i.e. Payroll Giving, Charity of the Year, Gift in Kind, Sponsorship.

Be hands on in supporting the wider fundraising team with the planning and delivery of events where required to ensure successful on-the-day execution, while proactively identifying and securing corporate sponsorship opportunities to maximise event income.

The Candidate
Experience developing and delivering a corporate fundraising or sales strategy.

Successful track record of building relationships and successfully influencing business stakeholders.

Experience managing and monitoring income and expenditure budgets.

Are you an experienced financial professional? Pilgrims' Friend Society is expanding, and we need a Financial Accountant to take charge of legal entities for our Housing Schemes. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for running and reconciling finance sub-ledgers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Our focus is providing a loving and caring environment for our “family members” (our residents) and maintaining the Christian ethos that is important to many of them.

The group operates on 20 sites with over 700 staff and an annual income of c.£20m.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and processing of journal entries, including accruals, to ensure an efficient and accurate month-end close.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing procedures in Sage, proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Take ownership of reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other charities within the Group to reconcile inter-charity balances and accruals, while constantly looking for ways to streamline the process.
• Provide detailed analysis of the P&L to offer clear insights into monthly financial performance.
• Work closely with the Financial Controller to identify trends, variances, and areas for financial improvement.
• Take initiative in producing monthly financial reports for managers across PFS, ensuring these reports are not only accurate but also actionable.
• Collaborate with the Financial Controller to refine existing reporting and develop new reports that align with the charity’s evolving needs.
• Play an active role in the annual budgeting process, collaborating with the Financial Controller and key stakeholders to align the budget with strategic priorities.
• Prepare and submit ad-hoc reports, including regulatory returns to the ONS, Charity Commission, and other relevant authorities, ensuring they are timely and compliant.
• Support the Financial Controller with a wide range of finance tasks, from monthly close activities to strategic initiatives.
• Identify areas where processes can be improved or automated, driving efficiencies across the finance function.
• Work closely with non-finance managers to support their understanding of financial data and provide insights that help drive decision-making.
• Build strong working relationships across the charity, advocating for the finance department’s role in achieving the charity’s broader goals.
• Take ownership of your own professional growth by seeking out opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills.
• Participate in training and development programs and actively suggest ways to enhance the team’s capabilities.

About you:

• Recently or part qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, highly desirable.
• Relevant finance or accounting degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record in management accounting, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong experience in process improvement and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Proven experience with Sage 200.
• Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to challenge existing processes and propose innovative solutions.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights for managers and leadership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both finance and non-finance teams.

The Role of Director of Property

Effective management of clergy housing and glebe assets is critical to supporting mission and ministry across the Diocese which covers Coventry, Warwickshire and part of Solihull.

They will oversee 156 clergy houses valued at £18.6m and a glebe portfolio valued at c£34m, comprising commercial property, agricultural land, and farming tenancies.

The Community of St Paulinus (CsP) is a pioneering, non-residential community focused on resourcing sacramental church planting, forming disciples, and strengthening partnerships across the diocese.

This newly created role of Marketing & Content Lead reflects a strategic investment in building the public voice, identity and reach of CsP. We are seeking a creative and strategically minded marketing professional who will establish and grow CsP’s digital platforms from the ground up, developing a distinctive brand voice and presence that is rooted in Sheffield Cathedral while clearly expressing the unique identity of the Community of St Paulinus.

The postholder will shape CsP’s emerging communications strategy, build audiences, develop campaigns, and contribute to wider marketing thinking within the Project Resource Team.

The Marketing & Content Lead will sit within the Project Resource Team (PRT), alongside the Project Manager, Administration Assistant, and Fundraising Officer. The postholder will be line managed by the Project Manager and will be a key part of the agile Project Resource Team, which serves the CsP.  The postholder will also collaborate with the Cathedral Marketing and Communications Team, where appropriate, to ensure alignment and shared opportunity, with the wider Cathedral communications strategy and work. 

[This is a post which is funded by a grant from the National Church currently up to the end of 2028.  There will be further opportunity for us to review and extend the role if further funding is available with the current expectation that this could be until 2031.  Regular reviews on this will take place.  We have a strong record for applications and grants, but we are not in a position to give guarantees.]

About You and the Role

Joining a specialised team at a time of growth, the Expeditions Officer will deploy first-hand exploratory field research experience in providing practical support for practitioners, helping reinforce the Society’s role as an international leader and convening power representing diverse forms of geographical exploration.

This operational role is central to evolving the Society's technical resources, strategic programmes, and flagship events, ensuring our support for both our grant recipients and the wider community of practitioners remains rigorous and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

Expedition advisory support

Participate in the provision of advice and support to Society grant recipients and other expedition teams and individuals across their project lifecycles.

Training, events and content

Work with colleagues and external trainers to develop and organise needs-based training opportunities, primarily for Society grant recipients and other supported individuals and teams, across a range of subjects.

Support the development of multimedia resources to support Society members and the wider community of field practitioners in undertaking safe, ethical, impactful expeditions.

Governance and reporting

Contribute data and updates for the bi-annual reporting to the Expeditions & Fieldwork Committee and quarterly workplan reporting to management and trustees.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience leading successful exploratory field projects, preferably through overseas, collaborative, impact-driven ventures in remote and challenging contexts.

The successful candidate will apply both academic knowledge and a practical understanding of safe, ethical and impactful field research, significantly expanding the Society’s capacity to support diverse forms of geographical exploration.

Salary and Benefits

This is a permanent, full-time post subject to successful completion of a probationary period of three months. The salary range for this post is £35,897–£39,180 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.
