Abbey Community Centre works with people of all ages and backgrounds, with a particular focus on older residents and low-income families with young children. The role and its impact
As Centre Operations Manager, you will be the organisation’s senior operational lead on the ground. Working closely with the CEO, you will hold delegated authority for the day-to-day running of the Centre — ensuring the building, people and systems all work together to support high-quality community activity.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining practical problem-solving with people management. You will line manage and help develop operational staff, oversee facilities and contractors, lead on health and safety and operational compliance, support volunteering, and ensure organisational systems and processes function reliably.

A background in science or biomedical research is welcomed but not essential if you can demonstrate the ability to engage credibly with complex evidence and policy.

Theos is a Christian think tank which seeks a world in which Christian ideas about human flourishing are drawn upon to answer some of the world’s biggest challenges. We stimulate debate about the place of religion in society, challenging and changing ideas through research, commentary and events.

The Role

About You
We’re looking for a strategic, imaginative communicator with a sharp editorial eye, a feel for public discourse, and a deep interest in how religion continues to shape society.
You will have experience of:
- Creating and implementing a media and communications strategy and desirable experience of contributing to organisational-level strategy
- Gaining cut-through in digital and mainstream media through creative and compelling public engagement activity

About the Role
To lead on the Trust’s Policy and Communications work. To ensure our strategy and work in this area is led by the specific needs of people affected by MSA. This will require effective contact between the Trust and people affected by MSA, a range of health and care professionals; in order to develop their engagement in a professional and supportive way. To be an ambassador for change in wider society, working in the best interests of people affected by MSA. To develop and ensure effective external communications and dialogue with people affected by MSA and facilitate positive collaboration with other relevant agencies and policymakers. To promote the development of this element of work within the MSA Trust, which may include future line management responsibility as the work develops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the CEO, internal teams, Services Committee, and other colleagues to set and deliver an integrated Policy and External Communications strategy for the MSA Trust.
- Be responsible for the development and delivery of an operational plan with targets and be accountable for the budget in this area.
- Lead on policy and campaigning work, ensuring priorities reflect the views of people with MSA.
- Be responsible for the Trust’s external communications and messaging.

As they enter an exciting new season of growth and expansion, The Rock Church is seeking a visionary, hands-on Creative Media and Communications Manager to lead and develop their digital presence and creative output. This is a key role for the future of the church, using creativity and media to build God's Kingdom and tell the story of what God is doing in and through TRC, both on the ground and online.
You'll oversee and creatively shape all media and communication platforms across the church, playing a significant leadership role, especially on Sundays, alongside a volunteer team. From digital strategy and social media to video production, live broadcasting, design, photography, and website management, you'll be at the heart of how the church communicates its mission, vision, and values with excellence, authenticity, and impact.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
