About the Role 

We are looking for a Social Media and Engagement Officer with a genuine passion for conversation, connection, and community. This is not a broadcasting role — it’s about dialogue. You’ll be the voice of St John International across our social media channels, engaging with audiences in real time, responding thoughtfully to emerging conversations, and finding opportunities to amplify our work and our people. 

You’ll help us grow beyond our traditional audiences, reaching new spaces and communities, and positioning St John International as a global leader in first aid and humanitarian service. You’ll work closely with the Communications Team to bring our quarterly communications strategies to life and ensure every post, comment, and interaction reflects our shared purpose and values. 

The role reports to the Director of Communications and works closely with colleagues in the Fundraising Team and our network of international communicators across 44 St John Establishments. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Act as the first point of contact for St John International’s social media communities, responding to comments, messages, and discussions in a timely, engaging, and brand-aligned way. 

• Serve as a guardian of our brand voice — confident, compassionate, and inclusive — ensuring all communications reflect our global values. 

• Identify and nurture opportunities for meaningful engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms. 

• Collaborate with the Communications Team to plan and execute content that supports quarterly communications strategies. 

• Monitor conversations about St John and related sectors, identifying trends, opportunities for thought leadership, and potential risks. 

• Support and elevate St John’s network of expert speakers, identifying new digital and offline platforms to showcase their expertise with broader audiences. 

• Work closely with colleagues across Establishments to gather stories, visuals, and insights that highlight our global impact. 

• Ensure all content and engagement reflect an understanding of cultural diversity, political sensitivity, and our international context. 

• Use social media analytics tools to monitor performance, report on engagement growth and sentiment, and provide insights to inform future strategy. 

• Occasionally attend events or workshops (in the UK or abroad) to capture stories and build relationships with partners. 

About You 

• You’re a natural communicator who thrives on genuine interaction and knows how to build rapport online. 

• You have a strong grasp of brand voice and can adapt tone and messaging to suit different audiences and contexts. 

• You’re curious and empathetic — able to navigate complex or conflicting information and find clarity in nuance. 

• You’re globally minded, culturally sensitive, and politically aware, with a good understanding of how narratives play differently across international regions. 

• You have demonstrable experience managing social media channels for an organisation, ideally with an international, humanitarian, or non-profit focus. 

• You’re proactive and creative, with an eye for storytelling and a commitment to continuous improvement. 

• You can confidently use analytics tools to measure and interpret social media performance. 

• Experience with tools such as Meta Business Suite, MailChimp, or similar is desirable. 

• Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite would be an advantage but is not essential. 

• As our platforms develop, we’d love for you to be confident in short-form video editing. This would include turning raw footage from our St John Establishments or events into usable content for Reels, Shorts and LinkedIn videos. On the job training for this can be provided if needed.

We’ve launched a bold new pilot in the West Midlands to tackle the urgent issue of late prostate cancer diagnosis in Black men and we need a dynamic Project Manager to lead the way. In this pivotal role, you’ll bring communities, healthcare partners and local insight together to dismantle barriers, build trust, and shape a model that could change outcomes across the UK.

What the job involves

As the Project Manager, you’ll lead an innovative pilot designed to tackle late diagnosis of prostate cancer in Black men. Day to day, you’ll shape and deliver a regional model that breaks down systemic barriers to early diagnosis - from coordinating the unification of efforts to address drivers of inequity in prostate cancer to establishing a new bridging fund to support cross-sector partnerships. You’ll work closely with community organisations, Primary Care Networks and NHS stakeholders, bringing people together to build trust and drive practical, measurable improvements.

What we want from you

You’ll be someone who cares deeply about health equity and is motivated by making real change happen for Black men in prostate cancer. We’re looking for someone who has experience designing or delivering community‑based health projects and feels confident working across sectors to build strong, equitable partnerships. You’ll bring strategic thinking, the ability to turn insight into action, and the communication skills to engage, influence and inspire. You’ll be comfortable managing timelines, budgets and reporting impact, and you’ll bring a strong understanding of public health, health equity or programme management. Most importantly, you’ll champion inclusion, cultural sensitivity and our values in everything you do.

As this role is supporting our work in the West Midlands, candidates must live within, or no more than 30 minutes from, one of the following NHS Health Trust areas: Herefordshire and Worcestershire, Black Country, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham and Solihull, or Coventry and Warwickshire.

Job Summary:­

We are looking for an experienced TESOL/TEFL professional to deliver high-quality English language teaching to adults living in Southend and/or London. The successful postholder will deliver engaging language lessons to groups of adult learners with different levels of English within community venues. The postholder will work closely with other members of Family Action staff, particularly those working in FOOD Clubs/Stores, which support people to maximise their income, learn new recipes and try new foods. Main Requirements:

The successful candidate will:

· Have a Dip TESOL/DELTA or other similar level teaching qualification (eg PGCE including a TEFL element)

· Have demonstrable knowledge of effective language teaching and learning strategies

· Have experience of assessing and monitoring students’ learning

1. About Sculpt UK 

Sculpt is a UK-based charity with over 20 years’ experience, who support young people to shape their own future. Our vision is that we live in a society where young people can be fulfilled through their education, work and participation in wider society. The need for our work is clear given the increasing problems young people face and their lack of confidence and awareness regarding their journey into the world of work. 

We run a range of bespoke programmes that work directly with young people in conjunction with partners - schools, careers hubs, employers, local government and further/higher education. 1. What does the role involve? 

Sculpt UK is hiring a youth programme officer who would deliver our direct intervention work with young people with a focus on skills building around employment through our holistic work experience programmes. Approximately 75% of our work involves working with young people who have SEND or who are at risk of becoming NEET (not in employment, education or training).

Responsibilities: 

Youth Programme Officer: 

• Adhere to Sculpt UK’s safeguarding practices and procedures at all time  

• Deliver funded programmes focused on youth employability, leadership and youth voice in line with Sculpt UK’s delivery style and ethos 

• Lead on the Futures Unlocked programme delivery – working with 375 students across London on Free School Meals with SEND to run work experience days with a range of employers 

• Engage employers to deliver work experience days 

• Work with other Youth Programme Officers to successfully to deliver projects and support in data collection required for reporting 

• Use their experience and knowledge of the issues affecting young people to tailor the workshops accordingly to age, need and interest 

• Run mock interviews with programme participants 

• Ensure young people complete relevant entry and exit surveys  

• Undertake relevant training associated with Sculpt UK’s work included but not restricted to child protection & safeguarding 

• Contribute toward and keep up to date with Sculpt UK’s internal / external communications platform such as slack, newsletters and social media  

• Engage with Sculpt UK’s Youth Advisory Board members when invited to do so.

• Have a recent safeguarding qualification from a recognised provider or be willing to undertake additional training in this area 

• Ability to travel - the role will require you to travel around London when delivering at schools or employers 

• Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, confidentiality, data protection and commitment to reporting concerns to an appropriate staff member

As the Training and Support Worker, you'll engage with schools, colleges, community settings and employers, delivering training, supporting implementation, and empowering neurodivergent young people into sustainable employment. You'll play a key role in developing the programme through partner insight and keeping up with best practice in workplace neuroinclusion. 

You will be required to travel regularly to deliver face-to-face training within schools, colleges, community settings and workplaces across Yorkshire.

We are recruiting a Volunteer Manager to join our Communities, Older Adults and Volunteering team. The postholder will lead the Bolder Healthier Community Champions Volunteer Programme, overseeing the full volunteer journey from recruitment through to ongoing engagement. This includes coordinating recruitment through the Volunteer Brum digital platform, ensuring volunteers are effectively onboarded and inducted, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records. You will work closely with local delivery partners to support them in involving and supporting volunteers in their areas, while also developing engaging content for volunteer sessions.

You will also lead activity within the Blues Go Green funded programme, building strong relationships with partner organisations and attending regular partnership meetings. The role involves supporting the development and delivery of volunteering activity in public parks across the city, ensuring activities are well planned, inclusive and delivered safely. Gathering feedback from volunteers and using it to inform continuous improvement will be an important part of this work.

Alongside programme delivery, you will oversee marketing, communications and events linked to both programmes. This includes promoting opportunities to attract volunteers from across Birmingham, supporting partners with local promotion, and coordinating online and in-person inductions, engagement sessions and celebration events. You will also support financial monitoring and reporting, helping to track budgets, manage invoices and contribute to reporting against key performance indicators.

This role is well suited to someone who is organised, approachable and confident working with volunteers and partners, with experience of managing programmes and a strong interest in community and voluntary sector work.

This is a practical, hands-on leadership role at the heart of Richmond CVS’s work with local charities and community groups. The postholder will lead our support to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across the borough – helping them to grow stronger and more sustainable.

The main focus of the role is to strengthen the fundraising skills and income generation of local organisations, alongside providing high-quality advice on governance, planning and strategy. The role requires curiosity, creativity and strong problem-solving skills to help organisations find practical solutions to real-world challenges.

Richmond CVS already works with a range of experienced consultants and trainers and has an established suite of training resources. The postholder is not expected to be an expert in every aspect of charity management. A key part of the role is to coordinate and facilitate this support, drawing on specialist expertise where needed, while providing direct advice particularly in relation to fundraising and the fundamentals of good governance.

Endometriosis UK is the leading UK charity supporting those living with endometriosis. Formed in 1981, we offer information and support, for example through our website, information leaflets and webinars, and via our local support groups, Helplines and online forum.  As well as directly supporting those with endometriosis, we work to raise awareness of endometriosis amongst healthcare professionals, the public and the media; lobby for improved diagnosis, treatment and management; and support research.
