The Head of Public Fundraising is a new role at Coeliac UK leading the charity’s public fundraising function. The role focusses on driving sustainable growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, lottery, raffle, digital fundraising and merchandise. This role is responsible for delivering Coeliac UK’s 5-year fundraising strategy to maximise return-on-investment, grow long term supporter value, and contribute to the charity’s mission. 

The Head of Public Fundraising will embed and deliver comprehensive fundraising strategies, growing Coeliac UK’s supporter base and income, building up new and under-developed income streams and communicating effectively with their audiences to expand their reach, and encourage financial and non-financial support to deliver the organisations mission.

Who are we looking for?

Key to the success of this role is a strong understanding of individual giving fundraising. This role blends the strategic oversight and leadership of a Head of role across multiple income streams, with the hands-on expertise of an IG fundraiser. Experience across other income streams and areas of fundraising delivery would be a huge benefit as the role leads community fundraising and events, will take on digital fundraising - currently led by the Chief Engagement Officer, as well as manage the data and supporter care functions, but experience in individual giving is essential as Coeliac UK has defined that as an area of priority income. To progress to a screening call with THINK Recruitment, your CV must demonstrate evidence of delivering individual giving income in a UK charity environment. 

The successful candidate for this role will be someone who has already operated at a senior level within a charity such as at Senior Manager level, or Head of in a specific income stream.

Hybrid working

The role has a hybrid expectation of a minimum of a day a week in the High Wycombe office (HP11 2QW) to build relationships and provide support to the fundraising team, and there will be flexibility required for other in person meetings and events. About the role

We're looking for an ambitious marketer who's ready to take the next step in their career and help recruit and inspire supporters across a diverse portfolio of fundraising products and events.

As Senior Marketing Officer, you'll work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to plan and deliver campaigns across our Third-Party Events and relationship fundraising portfolio. You'll be responsible for the delivery and reporting of marketing activity, managing the day-to-day execution of campaigns to recruit participants for iconic events such as the London Marathon, Great North Run and other challenge events, alongside our In Memory and DIY fundraising products.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across marketing, product teams and agency partners, you'll help deliver engaging multi-channel campaigns that drive registrations, participation and income. You'll also support the marketing of our owned flagship events and other fundraising opportunities as needed, contributing to the growth of the wider fundraising portfolio.

About you

You're a proactive and organised marketer with experience delivering successful multi-channel campaigns and a passion for understanding what motivates people to take action.

You'll have experience using digital channels such as paid social, search, email and organic social media to acquire and engage audiences, alongside an understanding of campaign planning, performance monitoring and optimisation. Comfortable working with data and insight, you're always looking for opportunities to test, learn and improve results.

You'll be a confident communicator with strong teamwork skills, able to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver successful campaigns. Creative and solutions-focused, you'll enjoy generating fresh content ideas and finding new ways to engage supporters.

You'll be comfortable creating and capturing content, whether that's filming video for paid social content or working with photographers at supporter events when needed.

Most importantly, you're motivated by the opportunity to inspire supporters to take part in fundraising experiences that make a real difference to people affected by breast cancer.

The salary range is:

£34,000 to £36,500 per annum if Cardiff/Glasgow or Sheffield based

£36,500 to £39,500 per annum if London based

About Us

The Comedy School draws on the power of comedy to improve wellbeing across community, health, education and criminal justice settings. Since 1998, we have co-designed and delivered workshops, courses and training projects that build confidence, resilience and life skills for socially isolated and vulnerable people. We have worked with individuals with mental health conditions in collaboration with South London and Maudsley Recovery College for 15 years, and in 2023 expanded this work to veterans in partnership with London’s NHS Veterans Mental Health Services. Our Comedy for Veterans programme delivers evidence-based interventions that improve confidence, connections, wellbeing and sense of purpose.

Purpose of Role: The Veterans’ Worker will lead on outreach and peer support within the Comedy for Veterans Project, with a specific focus on engaging veterans from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, and other communities underrepresented in traditional support pathways. The role aims to ensure inclusive participation, support mental wellbeing, and sustain long-term engagement with the project.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead outreach and engagement efforts to promote the Comedy for Veterans Project, focusing on building trust and participation among veterans from Black, ethnic minority, and underserved communities.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with veteran organisations, community groups, and stakeholders to enhance referrals, collaboration, and community presence.
• Provide peer support and mentoring to veterans enrolled in the project, encouraging sustained participation, confidence-building, and shared learning.
• Identify and address participation barriers, including logistical, emotional, or wellbeing challenges, and signpost to appropriate services when needed.
• Support the delivery of workshops and events, working closely with facilitators to ensure activities are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to participants’ needs.
• Collaborate with staff and partners to monitor progress, share relevant participant insights (within confidentiality boundaries), and contribute to a safe, trauma-informed environment.
• Document attendance, feedback, and outcomes for evaluation purposes, and report on engagement levels and project impact.

Essential Criteria: 

• Proven experience in outreach, peer support, mentoring, or community engagement—ideally with veterans or marginalised groups.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse social, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Understanding of mental health and wellbeing, including challenges commonly faced by veterans, and the confidence to respond supportively.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, confidentiality protocols, and maintaining professional boundaries when working with vulnerable adults.
• Ability to work independently and manage time, alongside a flexible approach to group dynamics, changing needs, and varying energy levels.
• Commitment to inclusion and accessibility, with sensitivity to the social, cultural, and structural barriers some veterans may face.

Desirable: 

• Background in social work, community organising, mental health support, or creative arts facilitation.

Maximise our digital presence: grow our online following through engaging social media content (especially videos), digital advertising, newsletters, and a website redevelopment project.

Large-scale campaigns: support the marketing and communications activities surrounding fundraising initiatives like our UK-wide Festival of Kindness Christmas campaign which aims to deliver 300,000 gifts, meals and essential items to people who are vulnerable and experiencing homelessness through the winter. This includes a large-scale online fundraising campaign across multiple channels. Champion our social enterprise: promote our coffee shops and commercial initiatives in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and London by working closely with our operational management colleagues to brainstorm innovative ideas, craft point-of-sale, design promotional materials, and increase in-store brand impact.

The Role:

We are seeking a Refugee Support Worker to provide compassionate, practical and trauma-informed support to refugees and asylum seekers accessing our services. The role combines one-to-one support, advocacy, community engagement, practical assistance and partnership working to help individuals rebuild their lives, develop independence, improve wellbeing and become active members of their community.

You will support individuals to access essential services, overcome barriers, build confidence and strengthen social connections. You will also help coordinate community activities and community lunch programmes, working alongside volunteers and partner organisations to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for people seeking sanctuary.

This is a frontline role where your empathy, organisational skills and ability to build trusting relationships will make a tangible difference to the lives of refugees and asylum seekers in Newport.

Employment Details

As a Housing Options Officer, you will provide housing-related support, advice, and guidance to vulnerable young people aged 16-35 living in YMCA accommodation. You will work closely with residents to help them develop independent living skills, manage their tenancies, maximise their income, access education and employment opportunities, and move on to sustainable housing solutions. 

What you'll be doing

• Managing a caseload of young people and providing person-centred support.
• Completing assessments, support plans, and risk assessments.
• Supporting residents with budgeting, welfare benefits, tenancy sustainment, and life skills.
• Working with housing providers, local authorities, and support agencies to secure positive move-on outcomes.
• Managing rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, and resident welfare issues.
• Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing, and a psychologically informed environment (PIE).

About the role

Breast Cancer Now is building its AI capability, and this role will help shape how we deliver it. Reporting to our Senior Lead, AI, you'll help lead the delivery of AI projects and change across the charity, taking work that has been scoped and prioritised and driving it through to completion.

You'll be the single point of coordination for AI delivery: owning plans, budgets, governance and reporting, coordinating suppliers and stakeholders, and making sure new tools land safely and are genuinely adopted. It's a hands-on role with real breadth, spanning project delivery, business analysis and support for the responsible, well-governed use of AI. And it's all in service of our vision: that by 2050, everyone with breast cancer will live and live well.

About you

You're an experienced delivery or project professional who can own delivery end to end, on time and within budget and across multiple stakeholders. You're confident with planning, budgeting and project governance, and you can flex into hands-on business analysis, defining requirements and mapping processes, when a project needs it.

You build strong relationships and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues alike. You're well organised, meticulous about accurate work, and experienced in coordinating suppliers. Experience of driving adoption and embedding new tools and ways of working would set you up well, and any exposure to digital, data or AI projects, or to a charity environment, is a bonus.

Job Title:Freelance Facilitator

Reporting to: Senior Programme Lead

Location:Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and the North East (particularly Newcastle and Sunderland)

Salary:£120 per day (including travel) plus £25 to attend meetings with a school (if required) and £50 for attending half day training or £100 for full day training. Expenses can also be claimed for programme snacks and travel to training.

Power2 is a fast growing and energetic children and young people’s charity that has supported 30,000 young people since 2001.  We are based in the North West of England and London and deliver early-intervention asset-based programmes to children and young people who have mental wellbeing challenges and are disengaged from school and more widely. We are seeking Freelance Programme Facilitators to join a pool to deliver our programmes in Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and the North East. Supported by our Programme Development Manager with training and resources you will help children and young people who are experiencing vulnerabilities and disadvantages improve their wellbeing, re-engage with school and learning, build networks and access opportunities.

Programme Facilitators work with significant autonomy and authority. They must embrace responsibility and are accountable for their work. They work collaboratively alongside young people, operating as a mentor as they empower young people to develop self-esteem, become resilient and engage with school and their own future. They give each young person the time, the confidence and skills to engage with their education.

You will work in schools and community settings to support young people and their families to ensure that at-risk children and young people make the most of their potential and improve their life chances. Work will include 1:1 support and delivery of Power2’s core programmes.

Working closely with colleagues, volunteer consultants and partners, you'll help deliver projects and programmes that strengthens and develops them and creates positive outcomes for people and communities. You'll also contribute to volunteer engagement, partnership development, grant administration and project evaluation, while ensuring accurate records and data are maintained across your area.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Worker to join Oasis North Bristol. Our Youth Worker will work with young people and families across the community to develop positive activities which promote a sense of belonging.

We’re looking for an individual who has a passion for supporting young people and developing community led activities. The role will involve supporting young people and families in our local Oasis academies but also in the wider community, inspiring and enabling local people to be an active voice and developer in their local area.

The successful post holder must have:

· Good standard of basic education, including English and Maths Level 2

· Experience of youth work either as a volunteer or professionally

· Ability to build long lasting, positive relationships with both young people and adults

• Developing relationships with Surrey and Sussex ICB, local authorities, VCSE organisations and other key stakeholders.

• Identifying and securing opportunities through grants, commissioning, tenders and partnership development.

• Involving people with lived experience in the development and design of proposals to ensure they meet the needs of local people with mental health challenges.

• Growing our mental health training offer across Surrey, including both paid-for training and community-based awareness initiatives.

• Establishing and supporting a Surrey Steering Group and maintaining excellent partnership working with Mind in Brighton & Hove.

• Leading the development and launch of the programme's profile, relationships and future opportunities.

• Reports on progress and impact to the Steering Group.
