We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Veterans Liaison and Officer (VLSO) to join a team providing support to ex-armed forces personnel. You will be home-based, with a caseload spread across Hertfordshire and occasionally adjoining counties.
We are looking for a dedicated individual who will empower ex-service personnel to regain their independence after a period of Mental Health (MH) Crisis, supporting them to thrive and contribute to our communities. This role will join a team of existing VLSOs across the East of England as part of a wider collaborative team within NHS England’s Op Courage - the Veterans’ Mental Health and Wellbeing service, and will work with other service charities and local support services. You will be home based with daily travel around your local region to support your clients and build relationships in the community, whilst working as part of the wider regional WWTW and NHS clinical teams.
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with prior experience of working with vulnerable adults; an individual who can work independently to set priorities that accurately reflect the client’s needs. Your role will be to work with clients in the community (or their homes), facilitating intense support and analysing individual needs to create a support plan that will break down barriers to a successful stabilisation, whilst navigating their mental health pathway.

About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Income and Engagement, you will drive sustainable income growth through regular giving, appeals and lottery programmes generating £6–£7 million annually. You will lead multi‑channel campaigns, oversee supporter care, insight and marketing, and develop high‑performing teams to strengthen supporter relationships and enhance the LNAA brand. This permanent, full‑time role is based at our HQ and Airbase in Lincolnshire and plays a vital role in supporting our life‑saving service.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in a senior management role, in-depth knowledge of running regular giving, lottery and appeals fundraising programmes, significant experience in running multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive income growth, understanding of CRM Systems and experience of building supporter or customer journeys informed by data and insight.
This role is based at our Headquarters in Lincoln, with the option of hybrid working after a probationary period, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

The Senior Email Channel Officer is a critical role in planning, creating, delivering and optimising our email campaigns and automated supporter journeys. The role ensures supporters receive timely, relevant and engaging communications that strengthen their relationship with the charity and drive meaningful action. The post holder will have experience in achieving KPI’s such as improved campaign engagement metrics; improved automated journeys to increase retention, reactivation and income; delivering email accuracy and quality; and contributing to the overall Supporter Experience Strategy to build lifetime value through more supporters, staying longer and doing more.

Key Responsibilities:
Campaign and Automation Journey Planning & Delivery
· Hands on delivery, including build and test high‑quality email campaigns that support fundraising, supporter engagement and other organisational priorities such as volunteering and campaigning actions.
· Build, test and optimise automated email journeys that welcome, retain, steward and reactivate supporters, building performance knowledge and insight that can be replicated across different supporter products and journeys.
· Support the Email Channel Manager with overseeing the email marketing calendar and sign offs where needed.
· Work with data and CRM teams to improve trigger logic, personalisation and segmentation, using your audience understanding to incorporate targeting and personalisation using customer data and dynamic content logic.
· Advise on the integration of email within multi-channel campaigns (e.g. email, SMS, Whatsapp, direct mail, social and telephone)
Reporting, Performance & Insight
· Monitor performance and continuously refine journeys to improve conversion, engagement and lifetime value.
· Work with Business Intelligence, Insight and Digital Analytics teams to produce regular reports on email performance, offering clear insights and recommendations.
· Use A/B testing, segmentation and behavioural insights to drive continuous improvement.

Data, Compliance & Quality Assurance
· Ensure all email activity is fully compliant with GDPR, PECR, consent and internal data governance.
· Working closely with the website team, carry out thorough QA across content, links, rendering and segmentation before deployment.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

· Support the Email Channel Manager with upskilling and mentoring junior team members in email and channel best practice, automations, segmentation, project planning and supporter journeys.

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Significant experience delivering email campaigns and automated journeys in a fundraising, marketing or digital environment.
· Hands‑on experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems.

About the team
The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships.

About this role
This role is a 12‑month maternity cover, supporting an important phase of delivery and development within the Philanthropy team. The postholder will work closely with colleagues to maintain momentum in new business activity while contributing to strategic account management and stewardship.

The Role
As Head of Grants and Inclusion, you will be a senior member of the team, leading grants programmes and championing inclusive, community‑centred funding across the region.
This is a strongly external and public facing role. You will spend much of your time out in Oxfordshire’s towns, villages and neighbourhoods—visiting groups, attending community events, and building deep, first‑hand understanding of local needs. These in‑person connections are essential to how the organisation works and to the intelligence they provide to donors, partners and grantees. This leadership role will be the primary point of contact for leaders from the grassroots charities and community groups funded by the organisation. They will assess need, monitor grants, offer support, and build trusted relationships. They will be representing the organisatio at external forums and occasionally speaking to community audiences.
The Head of Grants and Inclusion is responsible for leading the organisation's grants decision‑making processes whilst ensuring fairness, rigour and inclusion. They are the key staff link with the expert Grants and Impact Committee which oversees the organisation's grant-making for the Board. They also present to and participate in monthly decision-making Grants Panels drawn from community volunteers. Monitoring and evaluating the impact of the organisation's funding is a key responsibility and this person will be responsible for utilising and developing the organisation's CRM database (Salesforce), including playing an active role in its upgrade. They will work closely with colleagues in the Oxford office, including attending the all‑staff day each Tuesday.
The Person
The successful candidate will have an established track record as a Senior Grants Manager in the UK and will be an organised, confident and natural relationship‑builder who believes that inclusion is essential to successful grant making.
They will have a strong educational background, excellent written and verbal communication skills with a good eye for detail and accuracy. They will also have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload and support others to deliver on time (line management experience would be an advantage). Fantastic customer‑service mindset, with empathy for volunteers and small organisations and the confidence working with databases and systems, ideally including Salesforce and a collaborative, solutions driven approach and a willingness to get involved across the breadth of a small organisation. They will be comfortable engaging with monitoring and evaluation concepts and knowledgeable or willing to learn about their application in a grassroots context.
This person will also need a natural enthusiasm for travelling across Oxfordshire and being out in the community on a weekly basis, a willingness to attend occasional planned evening events (with time off in lieu) and a full driving licence will probably be essential. For over 15 years, Scotty's Little Soldiers has been supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.
