Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.

Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.
By participating in the scheme Approved Provider units affirm their dedication to excellent care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The accreditation of units is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. Our accreditation process is designed to be collaborative and supportive, guiding units through every step towards achieving and maintaining exemplary service standards.
The role will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with the Approved Provider and Training Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

JOB PURPOSE
The postholder will help the people accessing our services to engage with pre-employment support to build the skills, confidence and resilience needed to gain future employment. This will be achieved through one-to-one support sessions, designing and delivering pre-employment workshops, digital inclusion initiatives, and volunteering opportunities. By providing guidance and meaningful engagement, the postholder will help clients develop transferable skills, improve digital literacy, and gain valuable experiences that supports their journey into sustainable employment.
MAIN DUTIES
• To provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming service for those who are seeking to gain employment, training or volunteering opportunities, including exploring goals and available support.
• To support a caseload of clients one-to-one who use the service in developing tailored self-development plans that identify opportunities for pre-employment support, digital literacy, volunteering and other meaningful activities in order to gain future employment.
• To develop and facilitate pre-employment workshops that support clients to build transferable skills, increase confidence, and prepare for future employment opportunities. Independently run training sessions and group programmes, managing all aspects of delivery. Sessions will typically be facilitated on a lone-working basis.

Draft and schedule LinkedIn and other social media posts to share information about our work and that of our members.
Update and manage the website with any relevant news or information.
Monitor and report on engagement levels with our newsletters, member updates, social and web content, suggesting areas for improvement.
Use communications tools and techniques to mobilise support for the protection of the equality and human rights legal framework.
Policy and team support
Organise meetings and events; including timelines, sending invites and reminders, speaker liaison, logistics and planning.
Draft meeting agendas and send along with any supporting documentation in advance of any meetings.
Take the minutes at various meetings, summarise for distribution, and follow up on any actions.
Monitor and report on the attendance levels of our members’ meetings, working group meetings and events.
Draft and administer satisfaction and impact surveys, and report on the results.
Support the wider team to conduct its policy influencing work for example, through government consultations and correspondence with policy makers.
Person Specification (Essential Skills and Experience):
Communication skills:
Very strong oral and written communication skills, coupled with an ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
An ability to quickly adapt to our unique tone of voice in your communications, ensuring that your language and tone are accessible and sensitive to the topics being written about.
A willingness to understand and adopt a human rights-based approach in your language, understanding the power of words and how they might uplift or diminish people.
Organisational skills:
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail whilst maintaining the ability to work quickly and responsively.
Demonstrable experience of using platforms such as Eventbrite and Microsoft Teams to manage large meetings and online events, and Microsoft SharePoint for file management.
Interpersonal skills:
The ability to liaise and engage with people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and create and sustain positive, collaborative relationships.
High levels of emotional intelligence and resilience including an ability to hold and manage difficult feelings and conversations with tact and sensitivity.
Understanding and ability to manage how privilege and inequality can impact in the workplace for yourself, colleagues and external stakeholders.
Professional skills and experience:

Content creation and management: experience of drafting engaging content for a range of audiences and through a range of channels, using Wordpress, Mailchimp, and Canva.

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded finance leader to join Samaritans as our Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation, leading financial planning, forecasting and reporting, while helping ensure we can continue delivering our life-saving work.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Corporate Services and working closely with senior leaders across the charity, you'll provide expert financial insight, lead a high-performing team, and drive innovation and continuous improvement across our finance function.

What you'll be doing:
As Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, you'll lead our FP&A team and oversee the organisation's financial planning cycle, management reporting, forecasting and financial modelling activities. You'll be a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, providing commercial insight and helping leaders make informed decisions that support our strategic objectives.
You'll also be a member of the Senior Leadership Group, contributing to organisational planning and helping shape the future direction of the finance function. Alongside your strategic responsibilities, you'll oversee both the Management Accounts and Accounts Payable & Receivable functions, ensuring robust financial reporting, controls and processes are in place.

The Senior Youth Inclusion Officer is a key role within the Youth Inclusion team, helping to connect insights and champion young people’s voices throughout our work.
