ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a dedicated School Mental Health Practitioner to join the Harris Federation’s central mental health team and make a meaningful impact in secondary schools across London.

You will be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team led by our Lead Mental Health Practitioner, receiving regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development and helping to shape the future of mental health support in education.

In this full-time, term-time plus role, you will be allocated to three Harris secondary schools, where you will deliver mental health support to students aged 11–18. You will work directly with students through 1:1 sessions, group work and whole-school wellbeing initiatives, helping to shape a culture of mental health awareness and support.

You will be based in schools for four days per week, primarily in South, South East and South West London, and occasionally in North London. Travel between schools is required. One day per week is set aside for team meetings and professional development.

As a term-time plus role, the full-time equivalent salary will be adjusted pro rata. The actual salary will be £33,016-£38,238 (37.5 hours per week, term time + three weeks).

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing targeted mental health and wellbeing support to secondary school students 
• Facilitating small group interventions and psychoeducational sessions
• Collaborating with school staff to promote mental health awareness and training
• Contributing to Federation-wide staff training on young people's mental health
• Contributing to opportunities to provide psychoeducational support to parents on supporting the wellbeing of their children 
• Maintaining accurate records and report on outcomes using national standards
• Sharing best practices and innovations across our network of schools

We are looking for a Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Assistant to provide care and cultivation of In Memory donors, Legacy pledgers and enquirers by acting as first point of contact for these supporters and delivering ongoing one-to-one stewardship across various touchpoints including face to face, over the phone and via written correspondence.

You will support the Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Team to achieve its aims and objectives through undertaking key administrative tasks and assisting with the delivery of the team’s projects including marketing campaigns, supporter events and internal promotion of Legacy and In Memory messages to a range of audiences and stakeholders.

As Legacy and In-Memory Manager you will be responsible for leading your team to drive transformational change, through the delivery of our legacy and in-memory growth strategy. 

You will set objectives and oversee team activity to deliver the entire legacy journey with the aim of achieving significant long-term growth in revenue income to support our ambitious plans to bring Maggie’s cancer care to everyone who needs us. 

You will be responsible for working collaboratively with teams from across Maggie’s to engage them in the importance of legacy and in-memory giving. 

You will manage external agencies and suppliers to deliver excellent work, on time and to budget.  You will also manage end-to-end, multi-channel campaigns including the delivery of these through colleagues and agencies.

About the role:

As a Team Leader you will play a vital role in supporting a team of CYP Practitioners in providing high quality, end-to-end support to all children and young people who have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse across Cumbria. You will support and guide your team to achieve key performance indicators, provide appropriate information and support, complete regular 1-1 performance reviews and annual appraisals.

You will need:

• good understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on child victim/survivors
• experience leading a team
• to be able to provide effective crisis intervention, carry out risk assessments, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning
• demonstrable experience of working in a similar setting or position
• strong communication skills and be able to present and educate service users and agency partners
• the ability to work independently and prioritise a busy workload
• An enhanced criminal record check is required for this role

About the role

Join us in building safer futures by giving a voice to male survivors of domestic abuse and strengthening professional awareness 

This is a unique and rewarding role that combines direct survivor support, specialist partnership work, and awareness-raising in the community.  

As part of our dedicated Domestic Abuse Service, you’ll focus on three main areas:  

Supporting male survivors at standard and medium risk  

• Provide one-to-one, trauma-informed support to men affected by domestic abuse.  

• Complete risk assessments, safety plans and ongoing recovery-focused support.  

• Help survivors build confidence, make safe choices and achieve long-term positive change.  

Survivor support alongside the Your Choice Project (YCP)  

• Work in line with Respect Standards, which ensure that survivors are supported while their partner or ex-partner attends the YCP behaviour change programme.  

• Deliver specialist parallel support to male survivors, ensuring their voice, safety and wellbeing remain central.  

• Collaborate closely with YCP colleagues to provide a balanced, holistic approach to safety and recovery.  

Community outreach and awareness-raising  

• Attend and run events across Nottinghamshire to connect directly with male survivors and the professionals who may encounter them.  

• Deliver training and briefings to raise awareness of male survivors’ experiences and increase professional confidence in responding to them.  

• Contribute to the development of innovative outreach strategies that challenge stigma and make services more visible and accessible to men.  

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is:

•  Experienced in supporting people in crisis, ideally in domestic abuse or frontline services.

• Knowledgeable about the challenges and barriers faced by male survivors of abuse.

• Skilled in communication, problem-solving and building strong partnerships.

• Confident working with both survivors and professionals in community settings.

• Passionate about equality, inclusion and ending domestic abuse in all its forms.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Implementation (Online & Offline)

• Key operational lead, deputising for the Head of Individual Giving and Legacies, taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of campaigns and activity across channels and supporter journeys.

• Develop and implement activity to attract new supporters through an integrated mix of channels, including social platforms (paid and unpaid), search engine advertising, email marketing, and offline appeals.

• Manage relationships with external partners, including creative, fundraising, and digital marketing agencies, ensuring high-quality delivery and ROI.

• Develop and execute integrated campaigns where ultimate conversion may occur via traditional channels such as telephone or mail, taking a holistic approach to acquire and convert new supporters.

• Analyse metrics and data, reporting on KPIs, budget, and spend. Work to constantly test and optimise campaigns to exceed targets and improve return on investment.

• Support forecasting and budget planning on marketing activities within the IG budget.

• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies, ensuring our fundraising efforts remain innovative and effective.

Stewardship, Content & Operations

• Develop and deliver personalised relationship-building communications and initiatives that recognise supporter loyalty and deepen their connection to the impact of their support.

• Oversee the operational delivery of supporter communications, including the development of processes for bespoke and workflow-delivered thanking and nurturing.

• Create and optimise content, sometimes cross team and directly with our incredible patients and supporters.

• Build journeys that maximise conversions and build loyalty. This includes high-quality creative fundraising writing, concepting, and messaging development.

• Ensure all supporters are thanked and updated in an appropriate and timely manner, working with the team to ensure coverage and that all interactions are in line with our supporter promise.

• Cultivate deeper engagement with supporters beyond transactional interactions, explore opportunities for meaningful dialogue and a sense of community. 

Collaboration & Cross-Selling

• Work with the wider PCR team to maximise opportunities for fundraising and patient impact, specifically leading on cross-selling meaningful cash and support propositions to other audiences (e.g., events participants, community fundraisers, and campaigners).

• Work with Agile principles in mind, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to plan and deliver high-quality work.

• Build key relationships across teams within and outside Public Fundraising to achieve successful fundraising outcomes.

• As required, represent PCR externally, promoting our work and building long-term relationships with stakeholders. 

Database and Compliance

• Develop your existing experience and affinity for supporter data to improve outcomes for supporters.

• Hold a very good working knowledge of key aspects of data protection law including GDPR and PECR, as well as the Fundraising Code of Practice.

• Work with our tools and seek to improve knowledge and use of these, including Access CRM, Fundraise Up, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Wordpress and MailChimp.

Skills and Competencies

Our ideal candidate would have the following:

• Fundraising Expertise: Proven experience in an Individual Giving role(s) with a track record of managing both digital acquisition and offline appeals (direct mail/telemarketing) for a charity or social cause, as well as significant experience in retention, marketing communications, supporter services.

• Agency Management: Experience managing creative, fundraising and digital marketing agencies, to deliver a variety of campaigns or activities across multiple channels.

• Digital Proficiency: Demonstrable expertise setting up and managing campaigns in Meta Business Suite, Google paid advertising, and email marketing platforms like Mailchimp.

• Strategic Thinking: Evidence of leading successful integrated campaigns resulting in significant income or lead generation.

• Audience development: Led development of successful new propositions for cross-selling across existing audiences.

• Creative Skills: The ability to motivate and inspire audiences through content and creative writing and storytelling for various channels.

• Financial Acumen: The ability to monitor and manage income and expenditure against targets as well as forecast and report on campaigns across all channels.

• Supporter Experience: A strong desire to provide excellent supporter experience and customer journeys to everyone who encounters PCR.

• Collaborative Mindset: A collaborative and innovative mindset with a desire to test, learn, and work with stakeholders cross-functionally.

• Agile Working: Experience working within Agile project management frameworks would be beneficial.

• Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of WordPress website optimisation and plugins, or a strong desire to learn.

• Passion: A strong belief in the work we do at PCR, and a demonstrable desire to improve outcomes for patients through our work in fundraising.

About the Service

We work under the supervision of the NHS Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) across Central Bedfordshire, Luton and Bedford, employed and managed by Mind BLMK, who receive funding for this transformational offer. We are privileged to be able to work holistically with people who are under the CMHT, struggling with a range of mental health issues.

Our service users are people with a range of mild/moderate/severe mental health diagnosis of anxiety, depression, paranoid schizophrenia, bipolar, EUPD, BPD, substance misuse including alcohol and people with suicide ideation. Often people present with high risks and once we take them onto our caseload we support them in managing their symptoms to reduce risk and to enable them to access wellbeing tools and services, leading to improved mental wellbeing and a better quality of life.

About the Role

Community Connectors work as part of an integrated, blended mental health offer to support people, for approximately a 6 - 12 week duration, with emotional, social and practical needs to access a range of local, non-medical and non-clinical services, to improve confidence, social inclusion and independence.

This role will involve working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with statutory, third sector and NHS colleagues to support clients who are suffering from moderate to severe mental health difficulties. You will need to have experience working with those suffering with mental health illness as well as being able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the services, support networks and local resources that may assist in improved outcomes for those dealing with complex and enduring mental health issues. The ability to be adaptable, work independently and the resilience to work in some challenging environments are key attributes for this role.

A typical day in the life as a Community Connector:

• 9.15 – 11.30: Attend MDT – discuss a number of patients and treatment. This is a weekly meeting at each CMHT for reviews of those under the CMHT and includes people who are currently on the mental health wards and individuals under a section.
  Discuss any high risk cases and next steps.
  Discuss those who are ready for discharge.
• 11.30 – 12:15: Add notes to database - that have been taken during the meeting – reporting on the discussion and outcome for patients (this includes identifying next steps for professionals and tasks which the admin team need to follow up on).
•  12.15 – 13.15: First Initial assessment with a new service user – introductions and getting to know them.
  Discuss goals and what recovery means to them.
  Carry out a dialog+ (diagnostic tool).
  Clarify areas for signposting and discuss wellbeing practical support.
• 13.15 – 13.45: Lunch break
• 3.45 – 14.30: Signposting for service user
  Update data base with notes from the initial assessment and upload any documents sent to services for the new service user.
•  14.30 – 15.30: Meeting with service user in local cafe. Review of goals and progress. Review any signposted services – has the service user attended? How are they feeling? What has worked/not worked and what could be improved? Stella Maris is the official maritime charity of the Catholic Church.  We are looking for a Regional Port Chaplain for the East Englia Ports to support seafarers, fishers and their families.

In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.

About the role

No two days are the same.  You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.

You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities.  You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.
