About the role and person

About the Role
The School Wellbeing Practitioner will play a key role in supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing through:
- High‑quality wellbeing assessments and goal‑focused support
- Evidence‑based therapeutic interventions, including guided self‑help and low‑intensity CBT‑informed approaches
- Acting as a first point of contact for referrals and drop‑ins
- Early identification of emerging needs and proactive intervention
- Collaborative work with pastoral, safeguarding, health, SEND and academic teams
- Contributing to wellbeing initiatives, workshops, assemblies and themed events
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and upholding safeguarding responsibilities
This role has no direct reports and works closely with pupils, staff and families across the Charterhouse Family of Schools.
About You
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reflective and committed to supporting young people.
Essential requirements include:
- Graduate‑level qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Mental Health Nursing or Psychology
- Membership of BACP, UKCP, BPS or CQC
- Therapeutic experience with children, young people or adults
- Understanding of emotional, social and developmental needs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
- Calm, flexible and proactive approach
- Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development
Desirable:
- Experience in an educational setting
- Experience in a boarding school environment
- Experience delivering workshops or group wellbeing sessions

About the role
The Policy and Campaigns Lead is responsible for creating and delivering high-impact campaigns to build young women’s visibility, voice and power and achieve changes to policies, practices and attitudes which will bring about an equal world of work for young women.
You will play a critical part in delivering our 23-28 strategy, and will build Young Women’s Trust’s policy expertise and campaigning capability and our alliances with others who can support us to achieve our purpose.

About the role
In this role, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for our incredible supporters who are ‘doing their own’ fundraising and you’ll also play an important role in the day to day running of the mass ‘DIY fundraising’ programme.
This will include responding to supporter enquiries, sending out fundraising materials, and managing our community fundraising Facebook group.
Providing operational support to the wider team is a key part of this role. This will include processing invoices, working with external suppliers to replenish and manage stock levels, and accurately delivering processes such as coding income and thanking supporters.
You’ll be joining a passionate and supportive team who are based across the UK. There will be lots of opportunities to develop skills and knowledge through working with others and accessing our organisation’s learning and development programme, as well as being encouraged to attend sector webinars.

We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, who takes pride in delivering the highest standard of supporter or customer care. You’re someone who’ll enjoy engaging with our incredible supporters and hearing their stories and will have previous experience of providing excellent support via email and over the phone.

Main Responsibilities
Working as the Head of People & Culture for Citizens UK, reporting to the Executive Director, Finance & Operations, your main responsibilities will include:
People & Culture Strategy
Ensure Citizens UK has the people, capability and organisational shape required to deliver its mission and sustain impact over time.
· Analyse organisational strategy, change priorities and external context to identify their implications for people, capability, structure and ways of working.
· Carry out workforce planning to assess current and future capacity and capability, identifying gaps, risks and realistic options to address them.
· Develop, maintain and refresh the People & Culture strategy so it responds directly to organisational needs and provides clear priorities for action.
· Provide expert people and culture advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, informing strategic discussions, trade-offs and decisions.
Talent Management
Develop and implement talent management processes that ensure Citizens UK attracts, retains and sustains the people needed to deliver its work.
· Lead recruitment, selection and onboarding to bring in people who can perform effectively in their roles and are aligned with Citizens UK’s values.
· Develop and maintain retention approaches focused on the key drivers of retention, including meaningful work, effective management, development opportunities, wellbeing, inclusion and fair treatment.
· Identify critical roles and critical talent and put in place practical succession and risk-mitigation plans, including knowledge transfer, handover planning and interim cover where needed.
· Monitor employee experience across the employment lifecycle, using insight from feedback and people data to improve people practices and ways of working.

You will be key part of our Wellbeing and Communities directorate, offering vital support and strategic direction to our Learning and Wellbeing team to achieve our vision and meet funder requirements and coordinating the development of a new partnership aimed at improving health and wellbeing for people across North and West Bristol. You will lead a team that combines wellbeing and health and employment support, as well as offering support and synergy to other teams in the directorate. This role will ensure support for wider social issues, such as debt, housing, family and health barriers faced to engage with employment and learning opportunities.
You will work closely with our Senior Wellbeing and Learning Coach to develop interventions to improve confidence, physical and mental health and employment prospects.

About you
You will bring senior experience in fundraising and/or communications within a charity or mission-driven organisation, with a strong track record of raising profile, engagement or income. You’ll be a strategic thinker who is comfortable being hands-on, credible with senior stakeholders, and motivated by working for social justice.
We’re particularly interested in people who bring:
- Experience leading fundraising and/or communications teams
- A strong understanding of high-value fundraising (e.g. major donors)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
- Experience managing people, budgets and complex priorities
- A commitment to equity, empowering young people and safeguarding

CUF’s strategy has a vision of ending poverty together. Over the next three years we will be developing our relationships with our networks, partnerships, Dioceses and churches to respond, primarily, to relational poverty, recognising its place within the web of poverty. Our work will be mission and community resilience focussed, in the framework of asset based community development.
Through our work we will see more impactful, confident and mission focussed churches who are empowered to serve their local communities. We will witness greater cohesion across Dioceses, schools, Christian denominations and Christian charities as a national movement to love and serve our neighbour, and challenge unjust structures of society. We will also work more strategically with communities of different faiths
in our resilience work, facing the challenges of relational and identity poverty. We will work closely with the Church of England who have highlighted ministry in low income communities as a priority for resourcing.
We will be more confident in speaking out the truth about poverty, through a renewed influencing, policy and research team, who will take our grassroots and collaborative work to highlight unjust structures on poverty, and shape an ecclesial, political and sociological response.
In this newly created role you will develop our work on influencing and telling the truth about poverty, this is one of two objectives for the charity. You will help build relationships of influence within the Church of England, Government and other decision makers to use our stories and impact to show the difference churches and faith groups can make in ending material and relational poverty. You will develop policy positions on areas of CUF’s work in relation to poverty that will give a firm basis for our work, and that we will be able to speak out on with confidence and knowledge based on connection to grassroots churches and organisations. You will develop a robust mechanism for reporting on impact, which goes beyond just evaluating our work but demonstrates the difference that faith based social action can make on ending poverty together.
This role will report to the CEO, but work across all of CUF’s teams and departments and will be responsible for the line management of the Listening and Learning Officer.
