The Prospect Researcher plays a key role in supporting high-value fundraising efforts by identifying, analysing, and prioritising potential donors, trusts, and foundations aligned with the Charity’s mission. Through in-depth research and insight generation, the post holder will build a strong, actionable pipeline of prospects, enabling personalised engagement strategies for the Philanthropy Team. Working collaboratively across the Engagement Team, the Prospect Researcher will provide intelligence that shapes cultivation plans, provides insights that supports strategic conversations at events, monitors giving trends, and ensures all prospect activity is data-informed, ethical, and compliant. This role is vital to driving sustainable income growth and deepening the Charity’s reach within the philanthropic community.

Prospect Identification and Research 

• Conduct thorough research to identify and profile potential high-value donors, trusts, and foundations aligned with the charity’s mission and appeal goals.
• Use a range of tools, databases, and resources to gather information on prospects, including their giving capacity, interests, and philanthropic history.
• Prioritise prospects based on their potential value, affinity, and likelihood to engage with the charity.

Intelligence Gathering and Analysis

• Analyse research findings to produce detailed and actionable prospect profiles for use by the Philanthropy Team.
• Provide insights into donor motivations and interests to support personalised cultivation strategies.
• Monitor trends in philanthropy and the wider funding landscape to identify emerging opportunities.

Pipeline Management 

• Support the development and maintenance of a robust prospect pipeline, ensuring it aligns with the income targets and timelines of the capital appeal and core funding opportunities.
• Work closely with the rest of the Relationship Engagement Team to prioritise prospects and support with research required for cultivation activities.
• Track and update prospect records in the charity’s CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics, to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

Ethical Research and Compliance 

• Ensure all research is conducted ethically, legally, and in line with data protection regulations and best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling donor and prospect information.

Collaboration and Reporting

• Collaborate with fundraising colleagues to share insights and ensure a coordinated approach to donor cultivation.
• Prepare regular reports on research activities, prospect pipeline status, and key insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Support the Relationship Engagement Team with ad hoc research needs, such as preparation for donor meetings or events.

Knowledge and Expereince 

• Proven experience in prospect research, fundraising, or a related field, preferably in the charity sector.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise large amounts of information into clear and actionable insights.
• Proficiency in using research tools, databases, and online resources to identify and evaluate prospects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the fundraising process, particularly high-value donor and trust fundraising.
• Experience using CRM systems to manage prospect data and track progress.
• Knowledge of the charity sector and the principles of ethical fundraising.

We are seeking an experienced and diligent HR Administrator to provide HR admin support to the organisation. You will be responsible for all HR administration, including the production of HR paperwork, and serve as the day-to-day generalist HR contact for all employees. We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities. 

This is part-time fixed-term position, as we review the organisation’s needs in this area, and will be subject to review and possible extension at the end of six months.

As a small charity (c. 35 staff including part-time and casual workers), the role will require balancing practical tasks with more senior HR responsibilities. You'll be based in the office (a lovely rural setting near Twyford, Reading) for at least two days per week and, being situated within the rehabilitation centre, you will have daily contact with those men whom you are helping. They inspire and motivate us just as much as we seek to encourage and support them.

Job description

The PR and Communications Officer will support the Senior PR and Communications Officer to raise awareness of the Charity by identifying and promoting compelling stories to regional and national media. Working closely with colleagues across PR and Communications, clinical teams, Fundraising, Marketing and Digital, the role will help to showcase the Charity’s impact on people affected by cancer in the UK and globally, while supporting fundraising activity across all income streams.

The PR and Communications Officer will support the Senior PR and Communications Officer in writing content for relevant in‑house magazine titles, along with using their communications expertise, with guidance from the wider PR and Communications Team, to help promote community fundraising events, corporate partnerships, major donor events and fundraising campaigns.

This a fantastic opportunity for an organised, detail-focused individual with excellent writing skills to help raise awareness of the Charity, making a meaningful difference to people with cancer.

What you’ll be doing  

· Working with the PR and Communications Team to maximise opportunities to promote the Charity’s funding of life-saving research to develop new treatments which have global impact.

· Supporting a comprehensive media service which includes the proactive sell in of positive stories about the work of the Charity.

· Building relationships with clinical colleagues and in particular, Charity-funded consultants, nurses, researchers, and allied health professionals to gain their support for Charity communications including press releases, tailored pitches, other print media channels and the Charity's magazine.

· With support, write and edit the Charity’s supporter magazine, Progress, in collaboration with the Charity’s leadership team and fundraising colleagues.

· Working with fundraising teams to identify unique and inspiring stories associated with the Charity’s annual calendar of events and campaigns.

We are SIFA Fireside, the support service for any adult in Birmingham that faces homelessness. For 40 years we have supported Birmingham’s most vulnerable people through Homelessness Intervention, Prevention and Recovery services.

The purpose of the role is to support the development of SIFA Fireside through effective communications and campaigns. This role reports directly to the Head of Fundraising and Communications and is critical in raising our profile, raising funds and communicating the difference that SIFA Fireside and our supporters make to people experiencing homelessness in Birmingham. From external communications and awareness-raising campaigns to assisting with internal initiatives, this is a varied role which will work to maximise and strengthen our impact in the community.

Key Tasks (selection of):

1. Overseeing a range of communications campaigns covering schools and corporate fundraising, team challenges and social events as well as affecting change on a local and national level.

2. Supporting with organising a range of events including increasing awareness and fundraising initiatives both at SIFA Fireside and out in the community.

3. Writing press releases and promoting newsworthy stories before pitching to media outlets.

4. Taking responsibility for SIFA Fireside’s social media strategy, responding to supporter enquiries online and providing statistics as requested.

5. Review and update SIFA Fireside’s website, in liaison with the Head of Fundraising and Communications.

6. Assisting with corporate volunteer conversions (incl. liaising with volunteers, arranging photographs, supporting with feedback forms).

We are currently seeking a Trust Fundraising Support Officer to join our growing fundraising team. 2025 was our best year yet for income and this role is pivotal in helping us to take the next step in further growing our income.

This new role will play a key part in delivering funding from Trusts, Foundations and other funders across the UK, supporting the Senior Trust Fundraising Officer to maximise our income. At Epilepsy Action we recognise the power of collaboration and teamwork, so our team members with hybrid contracts can expect to work a minimum of 40% at our office in Leeds. More about the role

This is a varied and vibrant position where no two days are quite the same. You will work closely with the Community & Events Manager to develop and bring to life regional community fundraising plans that truly resonate with local people across the South of England and Wales. A major part of your focus will be managing and stimulating growth in the areas surrounding our rehoming centres, retail shops and vet hospitals. You will be championing our classic fundraising campaigns, such as Paws for Tea, while also spotting new opportunities to increase income and supporting our incredible "Do it Yourself" fundraisers to help them reach their full potential.

Beyond the numbers, this role is about relationships. You will be building and nurturing volunteer networks, recruiting new faces, and developing fundraising groups that can respond quickly to new opportunities. You will also identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with local businesses and managing those corporate relationships. Whether you are supporting local events, encouraging fundraisers to get involved through internal communications, or ensuring our donors feel valued through careful stewardship, you will be key to our growth. You will also be completing administration tasks to keep things running smoothly, such as financial coding, raising purchase orders, and liaising with our data team to ensure every penny is accounted for. 

This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week from our Burford office. There will also be regular visits to our rehoming centres, retail shops and vet hospitals in the South region.

We are looking for a self-starter who can motivate themselves and others, seamlessly switching between chatting with a local volunteer group, pitching to a corporate partner, or collaborating with our internal teams. You should have a proven track record in community fundraising and the organizational skills to juggle multiple projects.

We are looking for someone with a flexible attitude who isn't afraid to make decisions and take the lead when necessary. You will have a proactive approach to growth, constantly looking for new opportunities to expand our fundraising reach and build on our income. 

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

· Full driving licence and have transport readily available

· Demonstrable experience in Community fundraising role

· Demonstrable experience in running regional local fundraising appeals

· Recruitment and managing volunteer fundraising groups and individual fundraisers

· Planning of fundraising events programme and evaluation of fundraising opportunities

· Working with other fundraising teams to deliver diverse activities including events, corporate partnerships and key supporter/cultivation activities

· Excellent written and face-to-face communication skills, with an aptitude for interacting with colleagues and supporters on all levels

· Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), databases and the Internet

The Fundraising Lead will both raise money to support the sustainability of NHS Charities Together and contribute to supporting NHS Charities to increase their income.
 
The role oversees the day to day operations of both our fundraising activity and our practical support to members.
 
Overall Objectives

• Lead the strategic development of a simplified individual giving programme focused on donor retention, stewardship, and legacy conversion.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role holder are as outlined below:
 
NHS Charities Together Fundraising Strategy

• Oversee the shaping of and support the Stewardship Manager on the delivery of a simplified, effective individual giving programme aligned with NHS Charities Together’s strategic priorities, with a focus on the retention and upgrade of existing donors and avoiding competing with our members.
• Ensure individual donors are regularly engaged and asked for appropriate cash gifts through a light-touch programme.
• Ensure that legacy messaging is prominent in the donor engagement cycle, to inspire existing donors to consider long-term support, aligned with their gratitude to the NHS, with appropriate pathways offered.
• Oversee prompt, accurate, and heartfelt thanking processes for all donations.
• Manage the welcome journey for unsolicited donations, and oversee the cost-effective management of existing commitments for community or events-based activity to ensure a return
• Lead stewardship for donors giving up to £25,000.
• Oversee and support the Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager to manage the relationships with selected key corporate relationships, identifying opportunities for partnerships and liaising closely with NHS Charities Together colleagues to support the development of fundable propositions which benefit our sector and our own organisation.

 
Sector Fundraising Support

• Champion sector-wide change by equipping member charities with scalable, plug-and-play fundraising products and strategic guidance that enhances their income generation capacity through individual giving, working closely with the engagement team.
• Oversee the development of support the Products Manager on the rollout of replicable or white-label fundraising products, starting with the roll-out of a lottery and legacy product, and on the development of campaigns (e.g. focused on grateful patients).
• Oversee and drive the thinking on future fundraising products that will appeal to and benefit our diverse group of member charities.
• Work closely with the engagement team and other NHS Charites together staff to tailor activity in line with segmentation and engagement strategies.
• Build trusted relationships with member charities, positioning yourself as a knowledgeable and empathetic fundraising expert.
• Contribute to supporting NHS Charities to raise their income, providing advice and guidance 1:1 and through supporting the delivery of member events. Where required support the delivery of paid for consulting support to NHS charities on fundraising.

 
Team Leadership & Compliance

• Lead and motivate the team, providing effective direction in their activities to ensure individual and team objectives are achieved.
• Deliver the new NHS Charities Together fundraising programme on budget and on target, and ensure appropriate reporting is delivered to support our governance.

• Ensure excellent use of the CRM for donor engagement, reporting, and data management, and ensure the development of efficient systems and process that maximise donor income and satisfaction.

Sport is our hook to engage young people and one of the vehicles through which we support youth development. But our purpose is not to create elite athletes or address physical inactivity. The Role​

You will play a key part in engaging our community of supporters, from marathon runners to monthly donors to guests at our bespoke events.
