We seek someone with a degree or relevant experience in political or public affairs, extensive experience of influencing, organising campaigns and major events and negotiating at a senior level. You will be required to have a detailed level of understanding of government politics and the charity sector and an empathy to the cause.

The Research Assistant will assist the development and maintenance of high-quality primary evidence and analysis projects, working across a pipeline from design to evaluation. The role will have a particular focus on safety interventions, and quasi-experimental and trial methods. The Research Assistant will work within the Global Safety Evidence Centre to ensure that the Centre can provide clear, robust, relevant and timely evidence to inform policy and practice decision-making across sectors. The Global Safety Evidence Centre is Lloyd’s Register Foundation’s hub for anyone who needs to know 'what works' to make people safer, collating the best safety evidence from partners and other sources and communicating it in an understandable and actionable form, and hosting the Foundation's own evidence outputs such as the flagship World Risk Poll.

The role

• Assist in the design, conduct and evaluation of internal and external research projects.

About the role  

As our Global Senior Prospect Research Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping Compassion in World Farming to end factory farming by strengthening our global prospect research function. 

This is an established and important role within our Global Philanthropy Team, central to building and sustaining a strong, high-quality prospect pipeline to support our fundraising growth ambitions. As part of this role, you’ll help shape and deliver prospect strategy, insight and KPIs aligned to our fundraising priorities and long-term organisational growth plans.

As our Global Senior Prospect Research Manager, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Prospect Research -Leading and strengthening the global prospect research function,ensuring it effectively supports ethical fundraising growth across key markets.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring strong prospect research experience, from an international fundraising team or comparable environment, alongside a good understanding of global philanthropy trends, donor behaviour and ethical fundraising practice. 

You’ll have to be confident in turning research into clear, useful insight for fundraisers, with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams and communicate findings in a way that supports action. You’ll also have excellent attention to detail and the ability to self-manage a varied workload in a busy, values-led environment.

Skills and experience you’ll need to bring as our Global Senior Prospect Research Manager:

• Prospect research experience within an international fundraising team or comparable environment.
• Experience building and managing a prospect pipeline that supports income growth.
• Experience using a wide variety of resources to produce high-quality intelligence for fundraisers.
• Experience of due diligence and applying ethical fundraising policies.
• Strong understanding of prospect research systems and processes, with experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience within financial accounting or finance operations, including ownership of month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Exposure to VAT, with charity VAT experience advantageous but not essential.
• Experience supervising or supporting colleagues, or the confidence and desire to step into your first formal people management role.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to improve finance processes and systems.
• Previous experience within the charity or wider not-for-profit sector would be advantageous.
• Qualified as an accountant, or be in the latter stages of study.

This is a permanent, part-time opportunity working 21 hours per week, with flexibility to spread these across either three full days or shorter hours across the week. The role is based in London, operating on a hybrid basis.

Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Finance Continuous Improvement Manager on a permanent, full time basis to join our Finance team to be based in London, UK.

Job Purpose:

• The Finance Continuous Improvement Manager will work with the finance function and key stakeholders within the organisation to identify, develop and implement improvement projects to ensure adequate systems and processes are in place to deliver the work of the finance function in the most efficient and effective way. This will include system projects and developing efficient processes for transaction recording, analysis and management reporting.

• The post holder will lead on all finance improvement projects including finance system development, implementation of budgeting and reporting tools, self-service and automation of the system tasks. Review finance process at the head office as well as country offices, review their efficiency and effectiveness, carry out user consultations, agree changes and carry out change management. Assist finance heads of departments and the team to review development requirements and oversee change management. The post holder will need to be pro-active and good at building relationships, bringing teams together and driving forward change programmes.

The post holder is required to have:

• Fully qualified or finalist with a recognised qualification and full/student membership of: CIMA, ACCA ACA or equivalent.
• Project management qualification e.g. PRINCE 2 / lean / six sigma qualification.
• A proven track record of implementing lean philosophy and methodologies for projects.
• Experience of Agile project management and a proven record of accomplishment of delivery in a project management environment and business/project planning.
• Experience of working on process improvement projects within Finance in a complex organisation.
• Experience of developing project governance.
• Demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in the effective application of various best practice tools and techniques in project, programme and change management, service redesign, facilitation and service improvement.
• Experience in identifying issues and structuring problems, leading quantitative and qualitative analysis, synthesising and developing recommendations.

About the role:

As a MAG Programmes HR Manager, you will provide trusted generalist HR advice and support to our programmes across Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Sahel West Africa. Working with Regional Directors, Senior Managers in Country and local HR teams, you will advise on complex people issues and change, strengthen in-country HR and manage risk across varied legal and cultural contexts. You will directly support Eastern Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean and line manage the HR Advisor supporting Sahel West Africa. You will also contribute to policies, employment frameworks, reward, new programme set-up and wider People and Culture projects. The role includes overseas travel to our programmes.

About you:

You will have a strong track record of delivering HR services in an international or multi-country setting and advising senior managers on complex, sensitive or high-risk people matters. You can interpret employment law, policy and contracts to provide credible, practical advice across different operating contexts. You will bring sound judgement and discretion, together with strong communication, influencing and project-management skills. Experience of line management, coaching or mentoring is essential, as is the ability to work autonomously and build effective relationships across cultures and at a distance. International NGO experience is desirable, French and/or Spanish language are highly desirable, and Ukrainian language skills would also be an advantage.

We’re looking for someone with:

• A demonstrable track record of managing and delivering HR services in an international or multi-country setting.

• Experience of advising senior managers on complex, sensitive or high-risk employee relations matters, using sound employment-law knowledge and judgement.

• Experience of developing or improving HR policies, procedures, systems or employment frameworks and delivering work to a high standard.

• Experience of line management, supervision, coaching or mentoring, with strong communication and influencing skills across remote and culturally diverse teams.

• Salary: £41,628 and this increases with service.

• Pension: MAG has a salary sacrifice group personal pension plan in place, and matches employee’s contributions up to 5%.

• Leave: We recognise our staff work hard and need the appropriate time out to stay motivated. Annual Leave starts at five weeks each year and increases with service to six weeks.  We also offer paid sick leave, and the amount of the entitlement increases with service. Join the Anglican Communion Office to provide professional leadership, oversight and delivery of safeguarding practice across the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC) and the Anglican Alliance, and to support the Anglican Communion Safe Church Commission. Working within a trauma-informed and survivor-centred framework, the Safeguarding Manager will ensure that survivors’ experiences meaningfully inform safeguarding governance, strategy and practice, including when their voices are expressed in challenging or uncomfortable ways. The postholder will bring significant experience of delivering safeguarding work internationally, including training, capacity development or policy implementation across more than one country. They will be able to adapt safeguarding practice to different cultural, legal and ecclesial contexts. This is not an administrative or secretariat-based role. The postholder will be expected to contribute authoritatively, guide and steer safeguarding work and exercise professional independence within Commission meetings and governance settings.

Safeguarding leadership, governance and reporting

• Produce and deliver a realistic and achievable safeguarding operational plan, ensuring that it is appropriately communicated across the organisation.
• Establish robust systems for recording safeguarding concerns, managing cases and monitoring the delivery of training.
• Report regularly to senior management, the Secretary General and the Standing Committee on key safeguarding risks and emerging themes.
• Report on the outcomes of lessons learned reviews. Monitor and report progress against a fully funded safeguarding action plan.

Policy, procedures and good practice

• Coordinate the review and development of Anglican Communion safeguarding policies, procedures and good practice guidance.
• Ensure that policies and procedures reflect current legislation and government guidance, and that the voices and experiences of victims and survivors are integral to the organisation’s response.

Case management and survivor support

• Ensure safe, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate responses to disclosures of abuse.
• Promote meaningful engagement with and listening to survivors across different cultural contexts.
• Ensure that allegations of abuse are referred promptly to the appropriate statutory authorities or provincial bodies, with due regard to survivor choice, safety and context.
• Ensure that victims and survivors receive appropriate advice, pastoral support and professional support.
• Ensure that appropriate pastoral and professional support is available both to survivors of abuse and to those who pose a risk, while maintaining effective safeguarding risk-management arrangements. 

Support for the Anglican Communion Safe Church Commission

Working alongside the Safe Church Commission consultant, the Safeguarding Manager will:

• Research and draft safeguarding resources, drawing on the expertise of Commission members, external evidence and an understanding of different international contexts.
• Coordinate and attend Commission working groups, distilling discussions and using them to revise resources and develop capacity development programmes.
• Maintain regular contact with provincial representatives and other Anglican Communion partners, learning from their experience, understanding emerging issues and ensuring that they are included in the Communion’s safeguarding ministry.
• Develop and deliver culturally appropriate and linguistically diverse capacity development events and training. 
• Attend meetings on behalf of the Commission with safeguarding organisations and partners involved in capacity development events.
• Liaise with contacts in the UK and across the Anglican Communion regarding funding for the Safe Church Commission.

Purpose

The Living Wage Foundation is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Media and Communications Manager to join our team for a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive communications professional with a strong background in media relations, public messaging, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be experienced and confident in working to tight deadlines, responding to last-minute changes, and prioritising competing demands in a high-profile environment. They will be motivated to amplify the Living Wage Foundation’s mission of tackling low pay and insecure work.

The postholder will lead all media, messaging, and external affairs work, developing and implementing a proactive media strategy that supports our mission and key campaigns, such as Living Wage Week and the annual Rates announcement. As a skilled media professional, you will oversee all communications outputs, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment, while delivering media training and refining key messaging to maximise reach and impact. 

In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our political engagement efforts, building cross-party support and working with political leaders, mayoral teams, and other key stakeholders to promote our initiatives. You’ll manage two direct reports (Events Manager and Media Manager) who each hold line management responsibilities, and you will play a critical role within our Senior Management Team, collaborating closely with the Head of Communications to shape the overall direction of our communications work. This role will work closely with Citizens UK colleagues, including the Citizens UK communications team on cross-organisational priorities.  You will report to the Head of Communications.

Main Responsibilities

Strategy development:

Lead on all media and messaging outputs, including developing high-quality materials, coordinating media events, and delivering media training.

Reputational & risk management:

• Develop and manage the organisation’s risk register, offering strategic oversight and serving as a primary contact for crisis communications.

• Manage and respond to reactive media enquiries promptly, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s values and objectives.

• Draft key messages and FAQs for media interviews and public responses, and advise senior leadership on sensitive media or reputational issues.

Materials development and dissemination:

• Lead employer case study development, identifying and preparing Living Wage employers to speak to media and champion a real Living Wage.

• Drive stakeholder engagement efforts, cultivating valuable relationships with Living Wage employers, campaign partners, and media contacts.

• Build and maintain relationships with journalists across print, digital, and broadcast media to secure quality coverage.

• Collaborate with the Public Engagement Team to draft emails, speeches, speaker notes, briefings, and press notices for political engagements.

• Lead media training sessions for LWF staff and Living Wage employers, enhancing their confidence and effectiveness in media engagements.
