Spear Wolverhampton is a partnership between Spear and Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Tabernacle Baptist Church is a large and lively multicultural and multi-generational church located in the heart of the diverse and multi-religious Whitmore Reans area of Wolverhampton. The successful candidate would be employed by Tabernacle Baptist Church with Spear Wolverhampton as a key missional activity. Prayer and worship are embedded into daily working practices, so there is an Occupational Requirement for applicants to be practicing Christians and to subscribe to their statement of beliefs. Role Responsibilities

Spear Programme

• Support in group coaching sessions of up to 12 young people. Coaching them around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education and equipping them with the skills to stay there.
• You’ll be given all the training needed to deliver Spear through our professional coaching methodology.
• This coaching continues for Spear Career – the 6 months’ worth of follow-up support. You will oversee a caseload of trainees and support them in work, beyond the initial Foundation Phase of the programme.
• Lead weekly 1:1s with a cohort of young people to monitor their progress and support them in their journey to employment.
• As part of this you will help trainees evaluate their progress and determine their work readiness throughout the programme – coaching them through challenges, creating moments of breakthrough and setting goals.

Relationship Management 

• You’ll build relationships with relevant professionals at local organisations, and communicate directly with young people, to encourage referrals to the Spear programme.
• You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre.

Church Community 

• The Spear Coach is directly employed Tabernacle Baptist Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church team and immersed in an exciting faith community.
• Help to raise the profile of the Spear programme within the church and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation.
• Other relevant ad hoc church responsibilities from time to time.

As our new Talent Acquisition Manager, you will be doing exactly that. You will drive the recruitment operations for placements for both UK and overseas staff, leading the team and taking ownership and responsibility to execute a best-in-class candidate experience. 

The Talent Acquisition Manager will lead recruitment for us in support of our strategic goals in this area, partnering with hiring managers and offering innovative and creative advice and solutions on how to attract and recruit the best talent available. This is a managerial role that requires strong decision making and the ability to drive the department forward progressively, but still very much a position where you will be expected roll your sleeves up and take a hands-on approach to deliver first-rate talent for the organisation, and experience for our candidates. 1. Talent Acquisition Strategy 

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the talent acquisition strategy, with a strategic focus on digital optimisation, to ensure improving placements for both UK and overseas roles. 

• Oversee and deliver all employer brand initiatives and recruitment campaigns including hiring events to drive candidate engagement and boost our employer brand. 

• Build diverse candidate pools, and create initiatives to attract and retain diverse talent. 

• Develop and analyse our recruitment metrics, and use your knowledge, market insights, numbers and analysis to continually refine and improve the talent acquisition process using a data-led approach. 

• Offer a clear, supportive and innovative voice in interactions with international colleagues to streamline processes and ensure seamless, effective collaboration.

• Use creative and innovative approaches to continue to reach new candidate audiences in a narrow field.

2. Transactional Recruitment Management 

• Create and deliver an annual international recruitment action and promotional plan 
• Work in close collaboration with our marketing team in the promotion and delivery of recruitment advertising including online/offline and social media campaigns and analysing results to inform planning and performance improvements. Ensure that the recruitment message remains central throughout our range of communications activities and that our voice is clear, compelling and interactsand synergizes seamlessly with our existing central campaign operations 

• Monitoring, reviewing, and developing the recruitment pages on our website to maximize engagement

• Being responsible for the discernment and wisdom required to undertake spiritual personal and assessments, refining a clear and robust framework to ensure a fair and consistent candidate experience. 

• Overseeing the development and maintenance of physical resources for overseas recruitment 

• Representing MAF throughout the year at festivals and other events within the UK as a passionate and compelling advocate 

• Initiating high quality recruitment events in various forums throughout the year, focusing on producing a clear ROI

3. Overseeing our selection processes to ensure the progression of suitably skilled applicants who meet our faith, vision, and values criteria

MAIN PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE ROLE:

About the Role

As a Nightstop Coordinator (Part Time), you’ll be the first point of contact for young people facing homelessness—assessing needs, coordinating safe emergency placements, and guiding them toward longer‑term support. GROW is a site-based organisation, and our farm sits at the heart of everything we do. 1. Strategy, Governance & Risk

• Provide overall leadership and strategic development of the charity.

Essential Experience

• Significant experience working in a Senior Leadership role within a not-for-profit,
• education, and/or environmental sectors.
• Experience of building and maintaining successful partnership work, for example
• with farms, schools, local authorities, funders, and/or community organisations.
• Significant experience of managing and developing staff and freelancers in a
• small team.
• Proven ability to lead organisational strategy and translate it into operational plans.
• Experience working with, and reporting to, a Board or governing body.
• Experience of financial management, including budgets, forecasting, and working with accountants.
• Track record in contributing to fundraising, including securing major bids.
• Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk in a regulated environment.
• Experience of safeguarding within an education, youth, or community context.
• Understanding of legal, progressive and inclusive HR systems and policies.
• Ability to develop and oversee marketing and communications that clearly articulate organisational mission, build community engagement and support financial sustainability.
• Demonstrable experience handling and reviewing legal documentation, including contracts, leases, and formal agreements.
