About the role

We are looking for a tenacious and curious Data & Insight Analyst. This role is at the heart of how we use data to drive change. You’ll own our approach to data, insight and reporting across fundraising and services, making sure our systems work brilliantly, our data is trusted, and our reporting actually gets used.

In this role you’ll turn information into actionable insight; spotlighting how our supporters engage with us, how our services make a difference, and where we can do better. Your work will help us make smarter decisions, provide better supporter experiences, and ensure stronger outcomes for blind children and young people.

This is a varied role that will require both hands‑on day-to-day data crunching alongside organisation‑wide collaboration and continuous improvement. If that sounds up your street, we’d love to hear from you.

About you

You will be highly organised, analytical and improvement‑focused, with confidence to work across teams and explain complex stuff simply. You will have:

• Solid experience of end‑to‑end database management

Key responsibilities

 Data management & systems

• Act as the primary system administrator for RSBC’s key databases
• Maintain high standards of data accuracy, hygiene and documentation
• Manage user permissions and secure access in line with data protection requirements
• Oversee integrations, imports, exports and API connections
• Lead on troubleshooting, system development and liaison with external providers
• Conduct routine data quality checks, audits, cleansing and deduplication
• Support month-end reconciliation, in collaboration with the Finance team
• Maintain accurate consent records and ensure regulatory compliance
• Advise colleagues on best practice and ethical data use

Insight & reporting

• Produce regular insight reports for teams across the organisation
• Develop KPI dashboards and visualisations to support decision‑making
• Analyse fundraising data including supporter behaviour, retention, conversion and lifetime value
• Analyse service delivery data including demographics, reach and outcomes
• Support impact measurement and reporting for funders
• Design, analyse and interpret surveys and evaluation data
• Proactively identify and communicate actionable insights

Development & improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, automation and reporting
• Lead development projects to enhance how RSBC uses data
• Explore opportunities to build a ‘single customer view’ across platforms

Salary: £48,225 – £52,080 (incl. London weighting)

About the role

CAFOD is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to lead business analysis across Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT).

You’ll shape and assure digital and data-driven change, ensuring initiatives are clearly defined, value-focused, and aligned with real organisational needs. Acting as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, you’ll help deliver effective, sustainable improvements across CAFOD.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business analysis for digital and data change initiatives

• Support teams to define problems, assess options, and identify solutions

• Ensure requirements are clear, prioritised, and delivery-ready

• Lead and support testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation

• Facilitate workshops and support decision-making

• Contribute to governance, planning, and continuous improvement

About you

• Significant experience in business analysis at a senior level

• Strong skills in problem definition, process improvement, and solution design

• Experience translating business needs into clear requirements (e.g. Jira tickets)

• Understanding of digital delivery and software development lifecycles

• Confident working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams

• Experience supporting or leading UAT

Desirable: Salesforce or Tableau certification

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Data Engineer to join our TED team and play an important role in building and maintaining the technical infrastructure that supports the NIoT and TED. Working at the intersection of data engineering, data and research, the postholder will help develop secure, reliable and scalable systems that enable robust analysis and contribute to high-quality, evidence-informed improvement across the sector.

• Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of a Common Data Model across multiple education data providers.

• Integrate and harmonise data from school MIS and EdTech platforms, including Bromcom, Arbor and Wonde.

• Build and maintain robust validation, logging, auditing and reconciliation processes to improve data quality and trust.

• Support secure data handling, including pseudonymisation, access control and compliance with data-sharing agreements and security requirements.

• Work closely with analysts, researchers, architects and partners to deliver scalable, analytics-ready data solutions.

• Contribute to agile planning, technical design, documentation and operational handover.

Essential criteria

• Proven experience in data engineering, including building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines.

• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Server.

• Strong T-SQL skills, including schema design, stored procedures and query optimisation.

• Experience implementing validation, monitoring, logging and reconciliation controls within data pipelines.

• Strong understanding of secure data architecture and the handling of sensitive personal data.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, version control and CI/CD practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work successfully in a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable criteria

• Experience with education datasets, school MIS systems or EdTech platforms.

• Experience with common data models, longitudinal datasets or research-oriented data infrastructure.

• Experience with Power BI, Fabric or related analytics technologies.

• Experience in a public sector, education or high-governance data environment.
