Location: Remote, with two days a week in the Downton office (SP5 3RB) and planned travel elsewhere, including London, for meetings and events.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Director Executive Assistant to join our Service Directorate at Help for Heroes. This role will play a key part in maximising the impact of our Service Director, ensuring they are supported to lead effectively across the charity and deliver on our mission to ensure every member of the Armed Forces Community can live well after service.

About the Role
Reporting to the Service Director, you will provide comprehensive executive support, enabling them to operate efficiently and effectively across a broad range of strategic priorities.
You will manage diaries, meetings, communications and travel arrangements, whilst coordinating Service Leadership Team activities and ensuring actions, projects and governance requirements are delivered on time. You'll act as a trusted liaison across the charity, building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and helping to keep the Service Director connected to key priorities, events and opportunities.
Alongside executive support responsibilities, you'll have the opportunity to lead small projects, prepare reports and briefings, and contribute to the smooth running of the wider Service Directorate.
This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and make a meaningful contribution to the work Help for Heroes delivers for the Armed Forces Community.
About You
You'll be highly organised, adaptable and confident working independently whilst managing multiple priorities. You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
We are looking for someone with:
Previous experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role supporting a senior executive or director-level leader.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Experience coordinating meetings, diaries, travel arrangements and action tracking.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across teams.
Experience managing small projects and producing reports, presentations or briefing materials.
Confidence using Microsoft 365 and a proactive approach to learning new systems and ways of working.
The ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Experience managing collaborative programme/project activity with local or international partners in relevant contexts is essential, as is experience designing and leading capacity assessment and capacity support initiatives between partners. You should be organised, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously, with a strong attention to detail to produce high quality proposals and reports. Ultimately you should be interested in and committed to MAG’s humanitarian mandate and able to represent our work and key issues with authority in order to effectively advance our mission, vision, and values. Fluency in English is essential, and fluency in a relevant second language would be advantageous.
We’re looking for someone with:
· Proven experience in the design and implementation of humanitarian, development or peacebuilding projects and/or programmes.

• Salary: £41,628 per annum and this increases with service.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £87,000 based on a hybrid working model requiring one day per week in the London office, typically on Tuesdays.

The Director of Finance will lead on all aspects of the Museum’s financial management, including producing monthly accounts and strengthening internal controls and processes. They will oversee treasury functions, including the management of the Museum’s cash holdings and endowments. Serve as Company Secretary, ensuring full compliance with Charity Commission requirements and the Companies Act.
As part of the Leadership Team, they work closely with our board of trustees to manage the Museum’s finances in line with the forward plan and wider Museum strategies.
