Our new Programme Support Officer (Health and Wellbeing) will play a vital role across three of Salford CVS’s flagship programmes - Wellbeing Matters, Live Well, and Answer Cancer. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to three distinct but connected areas of work that collectively support community wellbeing, prevention, and early help across Salford.

You will work as part of a passionate, multi-disciplinary team, supporting programme coordination, data and insight gathering, communication activities, and high-quality partner engagement. Across these programmes, you will:

You will:

· Play a key role in shaping an exceptional housing management service by working alongside the Senior Housing Manager to deliver a truly customer-focused experience

Overall job purpose

As a Conservation Projects Manager and a key member of the national Conservation team, you will work with experienced consultants and skilled craftspeople, with national and regional colleagues, volunteers, local partners and stakeholders to develop and manage a range of holistic, conservation and new use projects, from inception to completion, and providing professional advice and support to community led projects.  You will lead on capital, conservation and maintenance programmes in East Anglia and beyond as required.

You will have expertise and specialist knowledge in the field of historic building repair and conservation, and a proven track record of project management (client side) in the heritage sector. You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across a large geographical area, it is essential you have a full driving licence.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Team Manager to support mobilisation of a brand-new pilot in North Essex.  The service will provide targeted support to individuals who frequently present to A&E in mental health crisis, following self-harm, suicide attempt or suicidal ideation. You will provide operational leadership, clinical oversight, and partnership management to ensure service users receive evidence¿based, trauma¿informed and assertive support at the point of crisis and during follow-up in the community.

The Role
As team manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the pilot. You will lead a small team to deliver high standards of practice, safe risk management, develop effective pathways between hospital and community teams, and maintain strong alignment with Phoenix Futures’ values and organisational priorities.

You will have oversight of data quality, reporting and performance management in order to demonstrate the impact of the pilot to commissioners and wider stakeholders

The pilot will focus on Colchester General Hospital A&E department, and the role will be based in our Colchester office, although travel may be required across North Essex to ensure effective service delivery.

About you

To join us a Service Manager you will need:

• Experience of working with people within a mental health/social work/substance use or similar field
• Experience of managing staff
• An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals who use the service.
• The ability to build effective working relationships with other professionals (including mental health services, adult social care, treatment services) and to maintain the excellent reputation of Phoenix Futures across Essex and beyond.
• The ability to report performance data and information to managers and commissioners
• The ability to be innovative and flexible to meet the needs of the service
• Determined, with a drive to succeed and a willingness to learn

• To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Word and be familiar with database management systems

The McPin Foundation is a mental health research charity that champions the involvement of those with direct experience of mental health issues in all stages of research.  We are looking for an exceptional ‘people-person’ to join our team; someone with a keen interest in workplace wellbeing, compassion for the work that we do and confidence to manage a varied and practical workload.

The Operations Manager provides a key role in our charity managing our people and operations functions.  This includes the day-to-day running of our office space in Bethnal Green, human resources, workplace wellbeing, IT, and asset and data management.  You will provide guidance and support, bringing skills in working across teams and breaking down barriers.  You will develop new initiatives and ensure compliance with health and safety, IT and data security governance.

The post would suit someone with proven experience in human resources, health and safety and IT/GDPR.  You will have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and well-developed people and line management skills, understanding how to share important information in clear, compassionate and engaging ways.  Working in a small team in a central role, you will bring a can-do attitude to the workplace, inspiring others to be confident and forward thinking.  Supporting the team’s wellbeing at work is a vital part of the role.

2. MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

To support the management, administration and development of the Sustainable Future grant programme and occasional related initiatives. 
 

Assess and critically appraise project ideas, using sound judgement to provide clear, constructive guidance to prospective applicants.

4. DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

4.1       GRANT PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

To work within organisational strategies and policies, and in accordance with the priorities and guidance as specified by the Programme Manager:
 

• Contribute to the delivery of all aspects of the grant cycle, including responding to applicant inquiries, assessment of applications, presenting and discussing applications with the grant committee and communicating decisions to applicants. On occasion, there may a requirement to contribute to this work for other JRCT grant programmes.

• Assist with monitoring grantees’ work and expenditure of JRCT funds.

• Contribute to the design and delivery of networking, convening or learning initiatives for grantees. 

• Manage and co-ordinate the administration of external events and consultations.  

• Assist the Programme Manager with the administration of proactive projects.

• Keep abreast of external developments through reading, attending conferences and similar events, and liaising with other funders.

• Contribute to the development of grant policy and grant programme reviews.

4.2 GRANT PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATION
 

• With direction from the Programme Manager, co-ordinate and contribute to the preparation and circulation of committee papers for the grant cycle, including writing assessment memos, meeting notes, agenda papers and minutes.  On occasion, there may a requirement to contribute to this work for other JRCT grant programmes.

• Use the grants administration database to process and monitor grant applications and provide reports and statistics.  Maintain accurate database records to enable the appropriate payment and ongoing monitoring of grants. 

• Ensure that effective information storage and retrieval systems (paper and electronic) are developed, maintained and managed for the programme area and maintain records of committee membership and subscriptions.

• Arrange and co-ordinate committee meetings and meetings with applicants/grantees on behalf of the Programme Manager, including related travel, accommodation and room bookings, liaising with trustees and co-optees.

• Liaise with other staff and external colleagues on behalf of the Programme Manager and assist in implementing good communication systems for the staff team and wider organisation.
