Feeling scared, powerless, or anxious in healthcare settings doesn’t just trigger a child’s emotions; it can create traumas that impact treatment success and that can have a life-long impact. Our Strategy and the role of Policy and Public Affairs Coordinator
As a result of the rapid progress and positive outcomes of us leading, managing and coordinating an increasingly cohesive alliance for systemic change in children’s healthcare, we are now in the position of moving some of our focus to the Government and Parliament. This will involve sensitive networking, stakeholder engagement and relationship management. To sustain the momentum and maximise these opportunities, we now want to appoint a permanent coordinator who is dynamic, empathic and curious; with the experience and ability to coordinate and administer the work of a small team working at pace in a fast-changing environment.
The postholder will need to maintain superb attention to detail while juggling multiple priorities (and a diverse range of relationships). There will be growing opportunities to be involved in policy research and preparation of briefings, as well as organising and project-managing events, publications and other activities. There will be a continued focus on meetings of various kinds; aiming to ensure these are seamless and problem free for everyone involved. About the Role
UR4Driving supports individuals who have experienced the criminal justice system, or are at risk of entering it, to gain their driving licence, rebuild confidence, and move towards independence. The driving licence is a powerful tool, opening access to employment, structure and self-worth.
As our Employment & Training Co-ordinator, you will be embedded within the UR4Driving team, helping participants make the most of their progress by supporting them into meaningful volunteering, training, or employment. Many of our participants face significant barriers including chaotic lifestyles, trauma histories, long-term unemployment, poor digital literacy, and limited formal education. This role is about building trust,offering practical support, and creating pathways that are realistic, motivating and sustainable.
You will offer a blend of structured 1:1 guidance and group workshops, developing individual action plans, and linking participants to volunteering and job opportunities. You’ll also work closely with other staff and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to support.

Key Responsibilities
1. Client Support & Employability Delivery
- Deliver 1:1 support to all UR4Driving participants, including two mandatory employment sessions per client
- Build trusted relationships with clients who may have complex needs or low confidence
- Provide practical guidance on CVs, job applications, interview skills, and disclosure statements
- Support job searching, training enrolment and digital access where needed
- Deliver regular group employability workshops (monthly or fortnightly)
- Ensure every client completes and logs 80 hours of volunteering, with support to secure placement.

The Food Chain's Dietitians bring specialist health and nutrition knowledge and skills to the staff team, enabling the running of our charitable services. As the first and regular point of contact for Service Users and referrers you will implement your nutritional expertise to ensure The Food Chain meets the needs of people living with HIV who are experiencing barriers to the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and live healthy independent lives.

1. To perform Dietetic Assessments* (see competencies below):

Coordinate and manage our list of incoming referrals from NHS and community organisations, ensuring contact is made in a timely manner

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a dynamic individual who is enthusiastic about working in the homelessness sector and committed to helping people overcome complex life challenges. You will support a group of individuals facing multiple disadvantages including homelessness, substance misuse, mental and physical health issues, trauma, and possible involvement with the criminal justice system.
You’ll work closely with the Lived Experience Team, under the guidance of the Team Leader, and offer engaging activities designed to build confidence, skills, and lasting connections.

· Organise and deliver meaningful, fun, and skills-based group activities (e.g. cooking, art, music, fitness, photography).

About the Role & Organisation
This role is employed by Church Urban Fund (CUF) and will be managed remotely. While you will be based with the Starting Point team in Doncaster City Centre, your work will also take place in the community and, occasionally, from home. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

The Development Team generate funds to enable everyone experiencing a mental health issue to get both support and respect. The Events and Fundraising Manager is one of four key Manager roles in the Development Team, responsible for providing excellent stewardship for our supporters, donors and sponsors, whilst generating six-figure income targets that underpin the charity’s impact.

You will also have a willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide short or long term cover within the prisons in this area.
This role will be prison-based. This is a bank role and so the number of days to be worked will vary and are not guaranteed. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Supporting learning operations
· Support the effective delivery of our learning and development offering, ensuring it supports The Charity’s strategy, culture, and values.
· Work with managers and The Head of People and Culture to identify organisational and role-based learning needs and to support the creation of an organisational learning plan.
· Support managers with the development of personal development plans.
· Design and deliver engaging workshops, webinars, and resources on key skills and behaviours, informed by charity and departmental learning needs analysis.
· Manage digital learning tools and platforms (our ‘Charity Academy’), ensuring content is accessible, current and engaging.
· Work with the People and Volunteering Manager to ensure that onboarding journeys at The Charity create an effective and engaging start for new team members
· Evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives using feedback and data, using this to continuously improve our approach.
· Ensure learning activities reflect our commitment to equity and inclusion, and support and contribute to key events and learning opportunities in support of the EDI Champions group and our wider EDI priorities and goals.
Offering learning advice and guidance
· Act as a trusted adviser to managers and team members, offering practical guidance on learning policy and practice, and on learning opportunities.
· Support the development and delivery of learning and engagement projects in partnership with team members across People & Culture.
· Build collaborative relationships across The Charity to encourage a learning culture where people feel confident to share knowledge and skills.
Supporting best practice and continuous improvement
· Keep up to date with external best practice in learning and development, bringing new ideas and continuous improvement.
· Work in partnership with volunteers and team members to co-create learning where appropriate.
· Support the wider People & Culture team with projects and initiatives relating to wellbeing, team engagement, and understanding and applying people policy and practice.

We are looking for a creative, proactive events professional to help us build on our existing events offer. You will lead a small team to develop and deliver the College’s events programme, including our annual conference, to increase engagement with the sexual and reproductive healthcare community and raise the College’s profile with new and existing audiences.
The role:
Events management
- Works with the wider CoSRH team, including members of the College, to develop an annual events programme to meet our educational responsibilities, provide networking and membership growth opportunities and raise the profile of the College
- Works with and supports members and staff through project groups to deliver events (digital, in-person and hybrid), including programme design, speaker and stakeholder liaison, logistics, and evaluation
- Works closely with the Marketing and Digital teams, develops project timelines for events and conferences ensuring clear definitions of roles and responsibilities for delivery of projects
- Selects and manages all technology and systems required to deliver remote/digital events, including sourcing, selection, implementation, and management of CoSRH hosting and communications platforms (e.g. Teams, Zoom) as well as subscription management and linkage with external organisation systems where required
- Manages technical set-up for events as well as providing technical support during events
- Ensures timely distribution of digital event materials, ensuring appropriate video editing has taken place
- Leads development, implementation and review of policies, processes, and procedures to enable remote/digital delivery of events
Key stakeholder and third-party management
- Manage relationships with suppliers, including venue finders, webinar suppliers, designers and printers, to ensure events are well-run, cost-effective and delivered to budget
- Leads formal tendering process for event suppliers, and engagement of external suppliers of events services (including digital technology services)
- Alongside the Head of Business Development, identifies and works with sponsors and exhibitors to develop tailored packages that deliver value for them and for delegates
- Leads on evaluation of events and applies insight to improve member experience and delegate journey
Budget management
- Manages events budget and provides regular feedback to the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that all events are delivered to budget, and that all new budget requirements are factored in to future plans
- Establishes and tracks targets, objectives and KPIs to improve event performance, including cost management, supplier negotiation, ROI and margins
You will be:

Be the first point of contact for our externally contracted IT support team, to ensure all devices are maintained, updated, upgraded, and secured, including operating systems, security patches, antivirus, and endpoint protection.

Lead on all IT systems across the organisation, including hardware, software, networks, cloud-based systems, and user access.

Be our cyber security awareness champion and link with the external IT support team on any suspected cyber incidents, phishing attempts, data breaches, or system vulnerabilities.

Purchase, install and configure new IT equipment and software in line with organisational needs, budget, and security requirements.

Support staff with installing and using approved software and digital tools, providing guidance and basic training as required.

About the role
Since 2018, the LRU has grown its membership to over 6000 renters across London. Through our six branches, we support renters to take action to transform the housing system. Organising in communities, the LRU runs training, facilitates peer support, takes collective action and campaigns on local issues, to grow our power.
The purpose of this role is to support the growth and collective leadership of our branch members in and around the Lewisham branch. This work will support the union’s fundamental goal of transforming the housing system, in alignment with our values and strategy agreements. The work will include recruiting and activating new members, and facilitating leadership from a broad base of renters, with a particular emphasis on working with those who face the worst impacts of the housing crisis.
How we work at LRU
You will be part of the LRU staff team alongside 13 other staff, who work with members to build the power of the union by organising, campaigning, training and facilitating peer support and member solidarity actions.
