Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.
By participating in the scheme Approved Provider units affirm their dedication to excellent care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The accreditation of units is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. Our accreditation process is designed to be collaborative and supportive, guiding units through every step towards achieving and maintaining exemplary service standards.
The role will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with the Approved Provider and Training Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

Role Summary
The main function of the Careers Coordinator (Work Experience) role is to develop, support and deliver Into Film’s Screen Careers Work Experience programmes. Screen Careers covers film, TV, animation, VFX and games. The postholder will work closely with the Careers Lead, Industry Partnerships Lead and other members of Into Film staff who conceive, create and deliver our Screen Careers Programme.
The Careers Coordinator will primarily manage work experience programmes across the four nations of the UK (outside of the ScreenWorks programme in Northern Ireland) but will also support the careers team with various other deliverables across the programme including but not limited to events with young people, development of resources and training for careers professionals, supporting development of ‘direct to young people’ content, and exhibiting at careers conferences UK-wide. The Head of Fundraising and Development role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape Woman’s Trust’s income strategy, develop new partnerships and play a central role in the organisation’s next phase of growth.
We are seeking an established income-generation leader who combines strategic and commercial judgement with a willingness to remain hands-on. The successful candidate will have a strong record of securing significant income, identifying new opportunities and building effective relationships with funders, commissioners and partners. The role will oversee the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy and funding pipeline. The role will involve helping myaware make stronger use of formats such as posts, carousels, Stories, Reels, short-form video, polls and direct-message-led campaign activity, while ensuring content remains accurate, sensitive, accessible and appropriate for a health charity.
The Social Media Officer will be predominantly home based within the UK, with occasional travel required. The role will work collaboratively across myaware to support awareness activity, fundraising campaigns, events, community engagement, professional services, membership activity and wider digital communications.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with experience creating social media content for an organisation, charity, campaign, community group or similar setting. You will be confident writing clear and engaging copy for different audiences, using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube or similar, and creating or adapting simple graphics using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent.
You will understand how social media can support awareness, fundraising, services, membership and community engagement, and you will be able to plan and organise content across multiple priorities. You will have a good eye for clarity, accessibility, tone and brand consistency, and be comfortable working with colleagues across different teams to turn ideas into effective social media content.
We are particularly interested in someone who is creative but practical, organised and reliable, warm in their communication style, and sensitive when working with health-related or personal content. You do not need to know everything about myasthenia before applying, but you should be willing to learn about the condition and the needs of people affected by it.
Experience in a charity, health, disability, community or membership organisation would be useful, as would experience supporting fundraising or event promotion through social media, creating Stories, Reels or carousel content, using analytics to improve content planning, or supporting campaigns and awareness activity.

myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia.
We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.
We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.
Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist benefits and welfare advisor.
myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families. We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals.
The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.
