Job description

Role description: 

We are currently looking for a Head of Marketing Operations to join our Marketing, Brand and Communications Directorate 

Reporting to the Direct of Marketing, Brand and Communications, you will be responsible for providing leadership to:  

  • develop the charity’s marketing plans in response to business need  

  • manage the marketing department's operations, prioritising workload and overseeing processes, technologies and team performance to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget and meet charity governance requirements.   

  • analyse results and data to measure campaign effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and report results to the charity’s leadership team  

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Place the needs of people with cancer and supporters at the heart of marketing content and activity 

  • Lead and motivate the Marketing Operations team to deliver first-class campaigns and marketing activity 

  • Plan and prioritise the work of the Marketing Operations team

  • Develop and communicate the marketing roadmap to senior leaders, the Board of Trustees and charity employees and volunteers 

  • Work closely with peers who represent the Fundraising and Brand and Communications teams to ensure marketing activities reinforce the brand, increase the number of committed donors and generate fundraised income

  • Recommend budgets and resource requirements to support the charity’s Marketing Operations.  

To be considered for this role, you will have significant experience of managing or leading a marketing team.You will also need significant experience of developing integrated marketing campaigns that deliver against core objectives and Key Performance Indicators.You will have experience of leading projects and campaigns to deliver customer or supporter benefits.
