South East London Mind’s award-winning Mindful Mums Programme aims to build resilience and prevent pregnant and new mums from developing mental health problems during the perinatal period (pregnancy up to 1 year). This year marks the service’s 10-year anniversary, supporting over 4,000 parents across South East London.

Our peer support volunteers are at the heart of what we do, helping us to deliver weekly wellbeing groups, walking groups and one-to-one befriending for new mothers and birthing people. Their dedication makes a real difference, and we are committed to supporting them every step of the way.

We are seeking a proactive Senior Peer Support Coordinator to lead on the provision of a high-quality peer support volunteer programme for over 50 volunteers. This role is responsible for all aspects of the volunteer life cycle, from marketing and recruitment, delivery of induction training on perinatal mental health and psychoeducational tools used within Mindful Mums, through to reflective supervision, delivering our CPD programme and finding the right role for each volunteer within the service. 

You will work alongside Senior Project Coordinators and the Service Manager to ensure we deliver on our targets, supporting with programming our wellbeing groups and one-to-one befriending. You will be a skilled people manager and effective communicator, responsible for the line management of staff and ensuring the service is represented at stakeholder and partner community events. You will be a confident facilitator, as some group delivery will be expected.

Like us, you will be passionate and knowledgeable about the role of peer support within recovery-focused perinatal mental health and the NHS Competence Framework for Mental Health Peer Support Workers. You will be experienced in supporting volunteers, providing supervision and acting as a mentor in their professional development. You will be highly organised with experience of project management in a target-driven environment.  An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and highly organised is essential for this role.

You will be highly organised and driven to see plans through to completion, as well as to evidence impact through monitoring and evaluation.

You must be prepared to work evenings and weekends, with some overnight stays. You will be expected to work from our Taunton office at least once a week.

Summary of the role: 

The Head of Income Generation & Marketing is a key member of Muslim Aid’s Leadership Team, responsible for executing the organisation’s fundraising and marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing and communications activities across the organisation. The post holder will lead the delivery of income generation plans, providing strategic direction and hands-on operational support to their direct reports to maximise income across all sub-department income streams. 2. Increase and diversify existing and new revenue streams specifically digital, CSR and private philanthropy.
3. Drive delivery against income targets by setting clear, ambitious, and achievable operational targets for each income stream, ensuring teams are supported to meet objectives aligned with Muslim Aid’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.

We’re looking for someone to fulfil a wide range of duties working alongside the other Administrative Assistant and volunteers in support of the Office Manager to provide coordinated administration across the Cathedral team. In addition, the post holder will support the Chief Operating Officer in tasks related to the management of the residential let properties located in Old Portsmouth. • 5s to 13s Befriending in which a child aged between 5 and 13 years old is matched with a volunteer who meets them weekly for a year. Time away from chaotic homelives with a positive role model, boosts wellbeing and confidence. Our team provides tailored support to the family.

In this role you will be the first point of contact with all of our wonderful volunteers, who are critical to the success of our work.  You will work closely to support the 5s to 13s Befriending Manager and other service leads to ensure smooth delivery of event and training activities. You will also support the wider charitable activity with your strong administrative and operational skills, including organising events, managing our database and general office management. We are continuing to evolve our services within the community, and for the right candidate there is also potential for increased hours in the future.

Role Information

This role reports to the Operations Director, and is part time for 16 hours per week. We offer 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) plus 3 days over Christmas. The salary is a FTE equivalent of around £27,300. We are a small, flexible team who are passionate about what we do. Hybrid working is available with weekly attendance in the office.

What the job involves

Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a wide range of activities, events and challenge events. As Senior Community Fundraising Executive, you’ll be a key member of our sector-leading team, raising over £5 million each year from individuals organising their own fundraising events and local-level corporate partnerships.

You’ll work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager to identify, test and develop new opportunities across our community fundraising programme, supporting our ambitious five-year strategy and growth plans. You’ll project manage mass-market fundraising campaigns to recruit, convert and inspire community fundraisers, working in partnership with colleagues and external agencies to brief, plan, deliver and evaluate paid marketing activity.

A key part of your role will be to design and own supporter journeys that use innovation, technology and personalisation to deliver an exceptional supporter experience. You’ll develop and maintain fundraising resources and incentives, making sure they’re effective, easy to use and continually improving. You’ll also be hands-on with supporters, building relationships with some of our top fundraisers and corporate partners to deepen engagement, strengthen loyalty and help them maximise their fundraising.

What we want from you

You’ll bring experience working in community or events fundraising, with a clear understanding of what motivates supporters and how to give them an outstanding experience. Confident in managing multiple projects at pace, you balance creativity with excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. You thrive in a varied, fast‑moving environment, taking initiative and using insight to guide your decisions.

Your communication skills will really shine. You’ll write warm, motivating messages that connect with people at every stage of their fundraising journey, and you’ll be confident speaking with supporters; whether that’s one-to-one, in front of a group or over the phone. Personable, proactive and empathetic, you’ll build trust quickly and represent the charity with professionalism and passion.

You’ll be comfortable with digital marketing campaigns and using data to evaluate activity, spot patterns and make improvements. You’ll have experience using CRM systems to record accurate information and you’ll take pride in delivering high‑quality work. You’ll also bring sound judgement when handling sensitive data or supporting fundraisers taking on deeply personal challenges.

How and where we work

Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.

Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
