The Role

Future Advocacy is seeking a Research, Advocacy and Communications Coordinator. This is a great opportunity to be thrown in at the deep end in a small but growing, dynamic organisation that places a strong focus on team and personal development. Job Description

As Beacon Team Leader, you will be a member of the local management team within the victim service, managing a team of Beacon Support Workers as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring the effective delivery of end to end support for victims in line with contractual expectations. You will provide line management support, supervision and guidance to the team in line with Catch22’s policies and procedures.

You will ensure that victims receive a high quality service through the effective management of the team’s performance, maintaining organisational and professional standards expected of the victim service. You will ensure that victims’ needs are reviewed and met in line with the key targets and contractual expectations.

You will maintain a close working relationship with police partners, statutory services and voluntary agencies ensuring relationships are effectively managed and pathways of support for victims remain seamless to provide a high quality and consistent service. You will provide management oversight of presenting risks and needs ensuring matters are managed and escalated appropriately and actions taken expediently as deemed appropriate to the presenting situation.

Qualifications

As Beacon Team Leader, with responsibility for the effective running of the Victim Service on a day-to-day basis, you will have a great opportunity to be involved in a number of varied projects working at the heart of the delivery of our strategic ambition. • significant experience of leading coproduction and service experience design, and ability to support others to deliver these activities.
• ability to lead organisational discussions and be an authoritative champion based on subject expertise (for coproduction, service development and innovation).
• experience of effectively implementing change and improvement across an organisation, and ability to drive continuous improvement across a department.
• experience of leading service development and managing the service lifecycle (including horizon scanning, research, coproduction, piloting and using monitoring and evaluation data to make improvements), ideally in a health or third sector setting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the business performance of the home alongside the Registered Manager, delivering agreed income, occupancy, cost and surplus targets

Head of Community Sponsorship Role 

This is a rare opportunity to lead Citizens UK’s community sponsorship campaign and help build the movement that will be at the heart of a community-led welcome.

This new role comes at an exciting and crucial time, as we seek to build and embed this new form of named community sponsorship in the UK. As Head of Community Sponsorship you will lead on our strategy to develop named sponsorship as a transformative part of the UK’s approach to refugee resettlement and community power. This will involve building a broad-base of civil society partners ready to sponsor refugees and to add their voice to the campaign. You will lead on the campaigning and advocacy strategy as we ensure quality in the Government policy and cross-Party political support. The Role

Reporting to the Director, this is an exciting opportunity to lead and strengthen our fundraising strategy, ensuring sustainable growth in income to support our mission of protecting and restoring tropical forests and inspiring climate action.

The Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing an ambitious fundraising strategy, with a strong focus on corporate partnerships and trusts.

Working closely with the Director, Deputy Director, Finance and Grants Manager and Communications and Digital Marketing Manager, you will drive forward fundraising targets, cultivate new opportunities, and consolidate existing partnerships. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on delivery, ensuring our fundraising approach is robust, ethical, and aligned with our values.

Key Responsibilities

 1. Strategy Development and Income Generation

● Develop and deliver a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the charity (with a strong but not exclusive focus on corporate partnerships),  aligned with the charity’s 5-year strategic plan.

● Research, identify, and build a pipeline of new funding opportunities to diversify and expand income streams, such as corporate partners, trusts and foundations,  high net worth individuals and individual giving.

● Prepare due diligence checks on potential new funding opportunities to be presented to the board / senior management.

● Develop compelling cases for support and tailored proposals to secure significant income from corporate partners primarily.

2. Systems and Process Improvement

● Establish and implement new systems for organising, stewarding, and monitoring corporate funders, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

● Introduce clear processes for donor stewardship, including trackers, reporting templates and potentially a new CRM system. 

● Ensure all fundraising activities comply with fundraising regulations, data protection requirements, and ethical fundraising principles.

3. Relationship Management and Stewardship

● Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective corporate funders through effective stewardship and engagement.

● Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent relationship management for corporate partners.

● Work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to maximise fundraising campaigns such as the Big Give. 

4. Events and Engagement

● Lead on the planning and delivery of a flagship summer event designed to attract funders, with the aim of securing new partnerships and long-term support.

● Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the event is well-promoted, impactful, and aligned with the charity’s mission.

● Organise and attend meetings, presentations, and other events to engage with funders and promote the charity’s work. 

5. Reporting and Evaluation

● Monitor and report on fundraising income targets, maintaining accurate records of all funders and partnerships.

● Working with the relevant programmes teams, provide regular impact reports to funders, demonstrating the outcomes of their support.

● Work collaboratively across the team to develop funding proposals and case studies.

The Role

Reporting to the Associate Director of Legal and Governance, the Legal and Governance Business Partner will lead on the provision of support to the charity’s staff and volunteers on all legal and governance matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Advising on legal issues relating to the charity’s activities, including reviewing a variety of contracts, such as fundraising contracts and contracts for goods and services.
• Advising on the legal aspects of tendering for commissioned services from NHS bodies and local authorities, including advising on procurement matters and NHS Model contracts.
• Advising on partnerships with other organisations to achieve the objects of the charity.
• Advising the CEO, Executive Directors and Trustees on governance matters, including charity law and company law; drafting policies, terms of reference and other governance documents, and correspondence with regulators.
• Maintaining the charity’s risk register and arranging appropriate insurance cover.

About You

You will have:

• A valid practising certificate as a solicitor/barrister and 4 years’ minimum post qualification experience, preferably including relevant experience advising not for profit organisations.
• A demonstrable interest in the charity sector.
• Good communication skills, and an ability to translate complex legal matters into easily understood legal advice.
• Excellent prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the business performance of the home alongside the Registered Manager, delivering agreed income, occupancy, cost and surplus targets
• Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness and hospitality through effective leadership of housekeeping, catering and maintenance teams
• Work in partnership with the Registered Manager to maintain quality standards, prepare for inspections, and meet regulatory requirements
• Oversee the administration of the home, including staffing, rotas, payroll information, recruitment, training records and compliance
• Contribute to a well-led, positive and values-driven culture, promoting Pilgrims’ Friend Society’s ethos and “The Way We Care”
• Support staff development, wellbeing and morale through effective supervision, appraisal, performance management and engagement
• Manage resident applications, fees, contracts and family communications, ensuring excellent customer care and responsive complaint handling
• Take responsibility for health, safety and compliance matters when on duty, including fire safety and liaison with external bodies
• Oversee property, maintenance and supplier relationships, working with Property Services to ensure the home is safe and well maintained
• Provide visible leadership in the pastoral and spiritual life of the home, supporting devotions, community engagement and relationships with local churches.

Skills/Experience:

• Willing and able to take a lead in maintaining the Christian ethos of the home;
• Management experience in a business setting;
• Comfortable with writing business communications to staff and residents as well as authorities etc;
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels whilst maintaining confidentiality;
• Ability to lead, motivate and encourage staff to give of their best, and have people-leadership and management experience;
• Able to work under pressure and provide calmness in all situations;
• IT literate ( including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet);
• Willing to be flexible in the working pattern and are prepared to participate in training and attend relevant staff meetings.

Hours:

40 hours a week, usually worked over 5 days.
