Coordinators and volunteers work closely with people who have been referred, to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

About the role

About the role
The Director of Young People, Volunteer & Business Support is a full-time employee of Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) and reports to the Chief Executive Officer. The post is based at the National Support Centre in London but will require some travel, mostly within the UK, in order to fulfil the responsibilities of the role. The role involves supporting residents in an Approved Premises by modelling positive behaviour, fostering respect, and maintaining a safe, healthy, and structured environment. A key aspect is acting as a keyworker, coordinating each resident's stay, delivering intensive casework, and addressing risk and support needs through regular sessions and daily engagement. The postholder also contributes to sentence plans in collaboration with probation, police, and external agencies, while encouraging compliance with rules such as drug and alcohol testing or curfews. Alongside direct support, responsibilities include facilitating purposeful activities, preparing meals with residents, and ensuring the premises' health, safety, and security through observation, inspections, and effective communication.
Administrative responsibilities are central to the role, requiring accurate and timely record-keeping, information sharing, and adherence to confidentiality. The position also demands flexibility and initiative to manage emerging tasks while working closely with colleagues and management to maintain a psychologically informed environment that meets accreditation standards. About the role
We are recruiting for a Senior Research Communications Officer to join on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. This is a home-based role, working full-time, 35 hours per week.
Research is central to our mission and ambition. With a portfolio of more than 100 active grants worth over £50 million, we are committed to accelerating progress and ensuring that breakthroughs in dementia research are clearly understood, widely shared and effectively championed.
As Senior Research Communications Officer you’ll use your understanding of biomedical research and your extensive communication skills to convey complex research content to a range of audiences in a clear and engaging manner. The research content will be both from our own research portfolio and from the wider research field through our Mail Metro partnership and wider media outlets.
You will lead on the coordination and planning of research-related content that we can amplify through our Mail Metro Media partnership, both editorial and social media content, as well as wider proactive research media content across other outlets. You will translate complex biomedical science into clear, engaging and accessible content that informs, inspires and drives influence.
You will also play a leading role in proactive and reactive media engagement - drafting national press statements, developing trade press articles and acting as a spokesperson on research related topics following media training.
Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place via MS Teams on Tuesday 31st March and Wednesday 1st April.
About you
Joining us, you will combine scientific understanding with the ability to craft compelling and engaging narratives. You’ll likely have a background in or a good understanding of biomedical research, science or research communications. You’ll have experience in delivering high profile integrated communications plans with good editorial judgement and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Crucially, you’ll have experience communicating complex research in an accessible way to non-specialist audiences and experience drafting press statements and media-facing content. You’ll be able to work both collaboratively and independently in time-sensitive situations and you’ll have the ability to manage stakeholders and advise colleagues at all levels.

- Translating complex biomedical research into clear, engaging messaging for non-scientific audiences.

About the role
The Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a key role in this growth, managing and securing new corporate partnerships with support from the Corporate Partnerships Manager. Our corporate partnership income has grown from zero in 2020 to c£2.3 million in 2025. It is a very exciting time to be joining the charity and our Fundraising team.
Primarily, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of corporate partnerships, growing strong relationships, delivering partnership activities, and proactively securing new corporate partnerships, including charity of the year relationships. You'll further support the Corporate Partnership Manager and Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications as needed with key activities within larger partnerships, developing a well rounded understanding of how Kidney Care UK works in partnership.
You will also work closely with the Events, Marketing & Communications teams to promote and support all opportunities to drive corporate income growth ensuring strong collaboration.
Key duties will include;
- Managing relationships with key contacts,
- Delivering partnership activities such as renal unit visits or training presentations to key staff,

- Proactively secure and onboard new partnerships within your target area.
You will do this by stewarding the significant number of existing relationships and partnerships we already hold and maximising any opportunities that exist. Alongside this, you'll be working with the Corporate Partnership Manager to manage a personal goal of generating new partnerships through proactive engagement to and through our supporters, beneficiaries, networks, and contacts.
The right candidate will have a proven record of building strong and rewarding relationships, and confidence in managing and building these relationships autonomously. You will be a driven and enthusiastic fundraiser with experience of cultivating new relationships across a range of businesses and sectors and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.

Our Support Team raise awareness both within the MPS community and external agencies, offering information, advice, support, and advocacy in a range of areas including clinical management, health and social care, housing, education, transition, independent living, palliative care, and bereavement.
Ideal candidate
As a Senior Support Officer, you will primarily be responsible for raising awareness and providing a high-quality support and advocacy service to our members and their families. You will be a relationship builder who cares about the community we serve and ensures that the individual (or family) remains at the centre of support. You will have experience in multi-agency working and an in-depth understanding of the needs of those with disabilities, their families and carers. Demonstrable experience and knowledge of health and social care, education and relevant assessment processes are essential.
As deputy safeguarding lead officer for both shildren and vulnerable adults you will take the lead in the absence of the safeguarding leads and be confident sharing your knowledge with new recruits through mentoring.
You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to uphold best practice, challenge poor policy and inappropriate decisions. Excellent IT skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timescales are essential. You will be self-motivated and highly organised, juggling many strands of work.
As part of a small, dedicated team, you will have a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively with your colleagues and external parties to raise awareness, advocate for our membership, as well as supporting the delivery and development of services for the MPS Society community.
Whilst a relevant qualification within health & social care, education or a related field is desirable, other knowledge and work experiences may be equally as valuable in this role. Prior knowledge of MPS and related conditions is not required however a special interest in neurology and working with individuals with neurological disabilities is advantageous. In-depth support and training to develop expertise in MPS and related conditions, and the needs of those affected by these progressive, life-limiting conditions will be provided.

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Strategic Evidence Officer to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract. This is a home-based role, with occasional travel required to attend team meetings.
As Strategic Evidence Officer, you will gather, analyse and mobilise evidence, data and insight to help build and curate a strategic evidence base that is built on the most recent and best available dementia evidence. You will be reviewing and gathering different types of evidence to help us understand the scale and impact of dementia across the UK. You will develop actionable insights and identify and articulate implications that can be used to inform policy, practice or research solutions.
You will be able to determine gaps and limitations in the current evidence base, or spot opportunities for new evidence to be generated, articulating how these gaps, limitations or opportunities may be addressed through recommendations to the Strategic Evidence Leadership team so that they can influence for their fulfilment. Through building and maintaining relationships across the organisation, your expertise and understanding of evidence, data and insight will enable you to act as a functional expert to our people, including supporting the use of our strategic evidence base in different types of content.
In this role, you will also be pivotal in making strategic evidence everyone’s business – to our people and the external dementia system.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have the ability to understand academic clinical and care literature, data and insight coupled with a knowledge of a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods and their application. About the role
NCDA is seeking a motivated Policy and Advocacy Officer to support the delivery of a multi-year project focused on advancing national and regional implementation of global noncommunicable disease (NCD) commitments, and to coordinate PAA’s input into global accountability processes, and regional advocacy programs and global campaigns, with a particular focus on government relations and accountability.

The Senior Lead - Acquisition & Digital Fundraising role is responsible for delivering Operation Smile UK’s strategic individual giving acquisition programme. This role is key to driving income growth and expanding our supporter base across multiple channels, including digital, DRTV, dialogue fundraising and print.
You will lead the strategy, planning, delivery and evaluation of acquisition campaigns, including the onboarding process, with full accountability for managing significant budgets, agency partnerships and performance metrics. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Campaign Leadership
- Develop and implement the multi-channel acquisition strategy, aligned with income targets and supporter growth objectives.

About the role
The Head of Advocacy and Influencing is a leadership role with significant responsibility for external analysis and positioning for CIUK - including through regular updates to the board Impact and Transformation Committee. The role is responsible for providing strategic direction for CIUK and CI’s advocacy and influencing and leading the team to deliver UK and globally facing advocacy campaigns. Provide strategic advice on political developments, external opportunities, and risks, ensuring timely and well-informed positioning, and prepare the CEO/SLT for high-level external engagements. Serve as a senior spokesperson for CIUK in political, media, and public forums. Work with the CARE confederation to develop advocacy lines and approaches.
Thought leadership and Policy Development
Provide strategic leadership of the Gates Foundation partnership, delivering against expectations and securing further funding from this and other donors. Ensure a rigorous evidence base for CIUK’s policy agenda, both by working with CIUK’s team of thematic experts, as well as commissioning and managing research projects where needed. Prepare and approve briefings, position papers, op-eds and other communications in support of CARE UK’s influencing goals. Oversee CIUK’s strategic role in Centenary Action, including representation on the Steering Group and overall coordination.
Team and line management
Set and drive the advocacy and influencing team’s annual plans and contribution to the organisation’s strategic priorities. Be accountable to delivering on team KPIs and organisational KPIs that link to the team’s work, and for managing the team’s budget. Play a key role in the leadership of the Programme and Policy department. Provide strong line management to direct reports and demonstrate a strong personal commitment to CIUK’s equity, diversity and inclusion goals and feminist leadership principles.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our food pantry network - supporting volunteers, coordinating delivery across sites, and ensuring our work is rooted in dignity, inclusion and community leadership.
