About the service
Working inside a busy refuge you will be part of a frontline team working in a fast-paced environment. The team are passionate about creating safe welcoming environments that supports all residents, children and colleagues. A team who continually adapt to the variations of work environments, who are service focussed, resilient, exercise good judgement to make the right decision and take into consideration everyone’s individual needs to create a genuine team spirit. About the role
We are looking for a high calibre, passionate, caring individuals who are excellent team players and are committed to providing high quality, trauma informed services for victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
As a Domestic Abuse Practicioner within Safenet Preston Refuge team, your role will provide proactive practical and emotional support to victims and surviviors of domestic abuse. You will be on a six-week rota which will include day, evening and weekend shifts.
The role will provide a high quality and pro-active front line service to victims of domestic abuse helping to keep them safe. The role involves assessing risk, completing safety and support planning, and ensuring the service offer is accessible and inclusive to all.

About the service
We are a specialist team working within the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector, committed to delivering trauma-informed, survivor-led support. Our services are shaped by the Women’s Aid Federation of England (WAFE) National Quality Standards and guided by the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, which recognises the impact of abuse on both adults and children. We work collaboratively to provide safe, inclusive, and empowering support that reflects the diverse experiences of survivors and promotes long-term recovery and independence.

About the role
As a Children’s Domestic Violence Advocate (CHIDVA), you will safeguard and support children and young people affected by domestic abuse across the Continuum of Need, including Child Protection. You will deliver child-centred 1:1 and group interventions, complete child-focused risk assessments and safety plans, and ensure children and young people’s voices shape the support they receive. Working with partner agencies (including through MARAC), you will contribute to coordinated responses that improve safety, wellbeing and long-term resilience.

This exciting role links our 350+ community organisations that receive food from us — known as our Community Food Members (CFMs) — with our thriving and fast-paced food operation. As the Food & Membership Operations Coordinator, you will work across the charity with the Food, Membership and Warehouse Teams, as well as our large and diverse volunteer community, to ensure CFM organisations receive a smooth, reliable and high-quality service each week.

About the role
As Service Manager – Safe Accommodation, you will lead the operational delivery of refuge and other safe accommodation services for adult survivors, children and young people. Working closely with the Area Operational Lead and as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide practical, values-led leadership to frontline teams, ensure accommodation is safe, well-managed and responsive, and oversee high-quality, trauma-informed and survivor-led support.
