ABOUT THE ROLE
Team: Fundraising and Supporter Engagement
As the Stewardship and Events Officer, you will develop a new programme of events to engage and inspire our supporters. You will deliver proactive, personalised stewardship for those with the greatest capacity to give and support the creation of a Development Board to help secure higher‑value income for the charity. Your work will strengthen relationships and drive long‑term philanthropic growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the creation and project management of a new programme of stewardship events
- Supporting the establishment and ongoing management of the new Fundraising Development Board.
- Providing administrative support to the Supporter Care Team and the Philanthropy Team.
- Monitoring compliance with fundraising regulations and data legislation in procedures.

- Background of working in a fundraising, supporter care, events, customer service or stewardship role within a charity or similar organisation.
- Skilled in leading a project, including identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders
- Proficiency in using project management software, identifying key performance indicators, delivery of the project, and reflective insight following.
- Experience in managing end‑to‑end event logistics for both virtual and in‑person events, including bookings, catering, venue coordination, tech setup, attendee registrations, RSVPs, on‑site support, and post‑event follow‑up.

Senior Supervising Social Worker

Salary: £42,032 per annum + £750 Homeworking Allowance per annum + £1,500 OOH allowance per annum (once on the rota)
Hours: 35 Hours per week
Contract - Fixed Term - 12 Months
Location: Homebased - Somerset and Devon. Travel predominantly across Somerset and Devon, specifically from Bridgewater down the M5 to Exeter and the A380 to Torbay, for home visits to support carers and children, and to complete Form F assessments. Travel also requires the postholder to attend staff meetings and team away days.
We are developing our services across the South -West and are seeking a motivated, passionate, and values-driven Senior SSW to support that development. This will include undertaking initial visits, completing Form F assessments, and supporting foster families post approval. There is potential for the post to become permanent with the successful growth across the area.

Overall Duties of the Senior Supervising Social Worker will include:
- An appropriate social work qualification
- Up-to-date registration with Social Work England
- A minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in fostering/family placements or other childcare settings
- Experience in supporting and supervising 10-12 foster families to meet the complex needs of the looked-after young people
- Undertaking Form F assessments where needed
- A proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality, and promoting their positive development.
- Experience in group work and/or delivery of training.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations including the Children's Act and NMS Fostering Standards.
- Experience of working with/supporting looked after children and their foster carers.
- Ability to prioritise, plan and self-organise efficiently.
- Capable of using electronic records systems and IT effectively, including participating in virtual meetings and webinars
