We are looking for new team members to join our service supporting Carers across Havering to improve their health and wellbeing, and access wider support that meets their needs.

This is a great opportunity to support local communities, working with Adult Carers and Young Adult Carers and helping them to make informed choices, build confidence, sustain their independence, and access support that meets their individual needs. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

We have a part-time role available (22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services.

Due to the area covered by the service, you will need a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

As one of our two Lead event stewards you will be responsible for our team of paid, casual Cathedral Stewards. The Cathedral Stewards are an essential part of our life at the Cathedral – making possible the busy and engaging programme of services and events that we hold. You will organise the duty rota for the paid Cathedral Stewards, lead the Cathedral Stewards on the Cathedral floor during events and special services and take a lead on the recruitment, training and development of the stewards in collaboration with the EA to the COO. 

You will work closely with the Head of Engagement, the Engagement Coordinator and the Head of Events – assisting them with their delivery of events. You will also be a key member of the Health, Safety and Security Committee at the Cathedral. At its core, this is a role which offers the Lead Event Stewards the chance to be at the forefront of our relationship with our visitors and play a key part in the success of our special services, large-scale commercial and Engagement events.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Organise monthly rotas for the Cathedral Event Stewards to ensure all events are adequately and appropriately staffed;
• Working alongside the HR team, develop and maintain a training programme for Cathedral stewards
• Work alongside the Head of Engagement and the Engagement Coordinator to take part actively in planning, set-up and delivery of Engagement events such as talks, theatre, music, comedy nights and art installations;
• Undertake stewarding shifts for special services, large scale commercial events and Engagement events;
• Work alongside the team to undertake Risk Assessments and Method Statements for special and Engagement events; 
• Assist the Audience Development Coordinator in collecting feedback from Engagement events
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service at all times;
• Attend the fortnightly Health, Safety and Security Committee: help to develop and implement new initiatives and responses to legislation and other guidelines, and assist with developing ways of working and steward handbooks;
• Attend various internal meetings including the weekly diary meeting, project and event planning meetings, all-staff meetings and the Health, Safety and Security Committee meeting.
• Ensure we are compliant with meeting our duty of care to members of the public.
• Compile steward timesheets and submit to the Finance Department for payroll

Job Purpose:

Manage the on-site delivery of MSF UK’s Face-to-Face (F2F) fundraising activity across Festivals and Events, ensuring high-performing, safe and professional fundraising operations that maximise income and public engagement.

Provide day-to-day management and development of Team Leaders, Fundraisers and Coordinator-level roles, driving performance through coaching, monitoring and clear accountability against targets.

Coordinate and deliver on-site operational and logistics activity across up to 60 festivals and events annually, working in close partnership with the Logistics Manager, who is responsible for logistics planning and infrastructure.

Act as the most senior on-site representative for MSF, ensuring all festival and event activity runs smoothly, maintaining strong relationships with event organisers, suppliers and stakeholders, and ensuring a high-quality, self-sufficient operational presence.

Work closely with the F2F Programme Lead and wider F2F management team to deliver the Festivals and Events plan, contribute to programme development and support the ongoing growth of the events portfolio.

Support the recruitment, onboarding and effective deployment of F2F agency workers and MSF UK staff, ensuring teams are equipped to deliver high-quality fundraising and meet performance expectations.

Take responsibility for on-site operational planning, including rota management and oversight of timesheet accuracy, ensuring effective resource allocation across activity.

Ensure all team activity adheres to MSF’s standards for behaviour, safeguarding, safety and compliance, creating a positive and professional working environment.

Outside of festival periods, take responsibility for the delivery of Private Sites activity, maintaining the same standards of leadership, performance and target achievement. Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator

Help keep our food bank running and support people facing food insecurity across South Bucks

One Can Trust is a thriving local charity supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship across South Bucks. Alongside our food bank, we run a clothes bank, toddler groups and a community café. With a dedicated team of 11 staff and over 400 volunteers, we currently support around 360 people each week.

We are looking for a practical, organised and community-minded Warehouse Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day running of our warehouse operation. This is a hands-on role that combines stock management, volunteer supervision, health and safety responsibilities and general warehouse administration.

About the role

As Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the food bank warehouse. This role is ideal for someone with warehouse or stockroom management experience who is happy to be actively involved in the physical day-to-day operation.

Hours: 17 hours per week (Monday to Friday, ideally 8.30am to 11.30am), plus approximately two flexible hours per week as required for food collections and operational needs.

A full driving licence is essential, along with a willingness to drive the charity's van.

Key responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Receive, inspect and record food donations from suppliers, businesses, community groups and members of the public.
• Organise and rotate stock to ensure food is stored safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
• Ensure adequate stock levels are available for food parcel preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
• Report shortages, surpluses or operational issues to the Operations Manager.

Volunteer Coordination

• Supervise and support warehouse volunteers during daily operations.
• Provide clear guidance and ensure volunteers follow warehouse procedures.
• Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure sufficient volunteer cover.

Food Stock Management

• Carry out and review weekly stock checks.
• Identify low stock levels and report requirements to the Operations Manager.

• Oversee the collection of surplus fruit and vegetables, including undertaking collections when volunteer support is unavailable.

Health & Safety

• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture within the warehouse.

• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, manual handling and warehouse procedures.
• Act as Deputy Fire Warden.
• Work with external contractors, including pest control and PAT testing providers.

• Support the upkeep, security and maintenance of the warehouse building.
• Ensure the charity van remains roadworthy, legally compliant and well maintained.
• Liaise with waste management providers and other service contractors.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required to support the charity's operations.

The Society is looking for a new member of staff to develop, manage and coordinate the Make Your Mark in Volunteering Campaign. The Campaign Coordinator will provide project management and delivery of campaign events, training, communications, audience development, partner engagement and evaluation. They will liaise with and support the Make Your Mark Working Group, the wider Make Your Mark membership, community groups and external partners to ensure the implementation of inclusive volunteer programmes.

We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Garden and Volunteer Wellbeing Coordinator with an interest in garden and wellbeing activities to come and be part of an exciting community garden project. Key responsibilities:

• Project manage the enclosed garden space at Frimley Lodge Park and The Arch in Woking.
• Develop and facilitate a programme of activities within the Catalyst Community Wellbeing Garden that will help improve wellbeing for people in the community, including:
  • Seasonal workshops

As Project Coordinator, you will coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the programme, keeping activity planned, information up to date and communication clear across teams, participants, volunteers and partners. You will help maintain the programme prospectus, manage enquiries, track engagement and outcomes, and support participants to move between opportunities in a way that feels joined up and meaningful. You will also help build relationships with colleges, employers, training providers and community organisations, opening up new routes for people to build skills, confidence and independence.

As the Operations Support Coordinator at SSAFA’s Glasgow’s Helping Heroes, you will ensure the smooth day to day running of the service while supporting delivery of projects for serving Armed Forces personnel, veterans and their families across Glasgow.

You will act as a first point of contact for beneficiaries and partner organisations. You will provide a welcoming and responsive service, manage enquiries, coordinate appointments and maintain accurate records. You will direct individuals to the most appropriate support and use effective triage to ensure timely access to services.

You will provide consistent administrative support across the team. You will coordinate office activity, manage data and support reporting requirements. You will maintain accurate client records across systems and ensure information is handled in line with policy and data protection standards.

You will support delivery of projects, events and activities that benefit the Armed Forces community. You will work with colleagues and partners to plan and deliver these effectively. You will also support social media and communications activity, helping to produce clear and accessible content that raises awareness of available services.

You will work closely with colleagues across Glasgow’s Helping Heroes and the wider SSAFA network to support a person centred approach. You will help improve outcomes by ensuring people access the right support at the right time.

The role requires strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will work across office, community and partner locations as required. We are a dog friendly organisation.

About the team

GHH, based at the Pearce Institute in Govan and delivered in partnership with SSAFA and Glasgow City Council, provides trusted support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families. Our trauma‑informed, holistic approach offers wraparound assistance that addresses housing needs alongside wider wellbeing challenges, helping beneficiaries build resilience and sustain long‑term housing solutions.

The service operates a gateway model, giving the Armed Forces community a single point of contact for housing, financial, employability and wider support.

You’ll be part of a highly collaborative network, working closely with local and national partners such as Citizens Advice Scotland, Veterans Housing Scotland, Erskine, Scottish Veterans Residences, Defence Medical Welfare Services, Homeless Casework Teams and Homeless Network Scotland. The role also involves attending stakeholder events that may occasionally fall outside of standard office hours.  

About you

Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel, we have been supporting older people for over 120 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty.

Redcot, specialising in residential care, is set in the delightful town of Haslemere, Surrey. Overlooking beautiful gardens and surrounded by countryside, much of which is owned by the National Trust, Redcot is blessed with a unique, tranquil setting.

Joining us as an Activities Coordinator, you will lead and encourage residents to join in meaningful activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice and dignity, to enable them to lead as full and active life as possible.

In this rewarding role, you will create a stimulating and varied programme of leisure activities and social events, inside and outside of the home, for residents to enjoy. Working with each new resident to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs, you will put together an individual social care plan and evaluate it regularly.

You will play a key role in engaging with the local community by initiating contact with community groups and enabling residents to partake / continue with hobbies and interests as desired. You will also help to recruit a network of volunteers to provide a variety of desired appropriate social opportunities as identified by the residents.
