Job description

Join a passionate and committed team driving forward social justice through women-led community organising!

The successful candidate will support Community Savers groups and networks in North Manchester and Wythenshawe achieve their goals for financial and social inclusion, mental wellbeing, community led development, participatory decision-making, and housing and climate justice.

You will work through a community-led process to:

  • build strong community associations
  • develop common visions and area action plans 
  • build membership and support capacity building among young women aged 18-30
  • raise small grants funding
  • identify priorities for skills development and learning exchange
  • help coordinate evidence-based advocacy projects
  • keep appropriate records of meetings and events
  • capture and communicate learning, progress, and impacts.

You are:

  • Experienced in working in neighbourhoods with long term health inequalities.
  • Good at building trusting relationships while maintaining boundaries and being mindful of your own levels of resilience.
  • Passionate about social justice and championing community expertise.
  • Compassionate and non-judgemental.
